The elevation (about 850) is just right to be about 10 degrees cooler than the lower oceanfront properties and with our tradewinds and the intentional design with plenty of windows you have natural cool air many would envy. There is a spacious latticed lanai that extends the front of the apartment which then goes right out to the lower level yard which is also just steps from where you park -- all on one level. We are in Paniolo Country Estates where each property is at least an acre of size, we have one full acre. Only moments from the main town but away from the hussle and bussle of the shopping areas. Our neighborhood is very quiet, families going about their daily business. We are central to the Island so you can get to all parts, explore, get back to home base to rest up for the next day's adventure. Kona International Airport is 10 minutes away -- airport to our street is just 4 turns away! Costco is between our house and the airport, say 5 minutes -- and they have the least expensive gas this side of the Island! Groceries can be had local or go on downtown, where as well are Wal-Mart, Denny's, all the fast food outlets, and local specialty stores as well as a farmers' market!
