We had a wonderful time visiting the Big Island. This condo was amazing. Great location right at the shoreline. The unit was nicely appointed and beautifully furnished. It was very comfortable for our family. This trip there were 4 of us, two adults traveling with two teenagers. All of us are 6' or taller and were very comfortable. With the supplied beach towels and boogie board all we had to do was head for the beach. We were close enough that our teenagers could walk to Kahaluu Beach. We took full advantage of the swimming pool and onsite tennis courts. Met the permanent resident next door neighbors. Very cordial people. When I had a question, Abbey Vacation Rentals was very responsive.
We visit the Big Island every couple years. Next trip, I would not hesitate to stay here again. -

Abbey vacations was very prompt on replacing the old broken fans on lanai. Also, someone called the day of arrival to see if all was well. Kitchen, living area were very good with nice tiling and granite. The bedrooms , however needed major updates. Mattresses need replacing, as does carpeting, which was stained in the back room. Furniture is also very dated and smelled somewhat musty. Also both bathrooms have new vanities, but the toilets, shower/bathtub desperately need to be replaced. There is new tile flooring in the second bathroom, but not in the master bathroom. The condo was clean with beautiful views. The lanai flooring needs to be tiled. It has old stained carpet which has been hidden with a floor mat at the sliding door by the living room. The condo is nicely located near a major excellent snorkelling lagoon, Kahaluu. It is about a 10 minute drive to Kailua, Kona. The area of Kona receives much 'vog'' (volcanic smog) and so because of this we won't return the Big island of Hawaii. Our stay was 17 days.

This was an extremely nice unit in a very nice location. It was very well equipped and the proximity to the ocean was ideal. The waves on the shoreline were only a few yards away and provided a pleasant sound throughout the day and night. There is a great snorkling beach about a half mile away and all the essential things needed for our stay were nearby. This was a very relaxing vacation and we would definitely enjoy staying here again.
