Fallbrook, CA, United StatesGreat Getaway
Left on 04/23/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Loved our condo unit, wonderful ocean view, felt very comfortable, and nice to have the pool and barbeque facilities, which we took full advantage of. Very convenient for the main strip in town, beaches and the airport (without hearing the planes going overhead). Would definitely stay there again.

Left on 02/02/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We rented this condo for 3 nights in Jan. Best feature was ocean front lanai that was private. The unit was comfortable. Furnishings were functional and adequate--nice updated kitchen-and it was clean. Complex was nice, beautifully landscaped, with nice pool and spa, and was close to Kona town. We would stay here again if we were to return to the SW coast of Hawaii

Calgary, Alberta, United StatesWonderful vacation property
Left on 12/06/2012 for a stay in December 2012
An attractive clean unit in a well maintained complex. Nice renovations in the kitchen & bathroom and unit is well equipped with ceiling fans throughout. Comfortable furniture & decor. The property manager was very accommodating and prompt to deal with maintenance issues noticed on arrival. This was one of the best supplied rental units we have experienced; plenty of paper goods, washing supplies, cooking utensils and beach equipment. This is a prime location within walking distance of downtown Kona and close to good beaches. Recommended.

This condo is perfect for a family of 4 or 5. The pool and grills are only a short walk away. The kitchen in this unit is well equiped, so visitors can save a great deal of money by shopping for groceries, rather than spending a lot of money eating out. This vacation rental is less than a mile from the restaurant/bar area of Kona if you would rather go out to eat. One of the many benefits of this location is the perfect view of the sunset from the living room and the lanai. I honestly cannot think of any reason to complain about my stay. This unit was perfect.

Our overall experience with this unit was very positive. The condo is spacious enough for four people to be very comfortable. The view from the lanai is lovely and the property is less than a mile from the shopping and restaurant district. The condo was quiet at night and the property was in the process of putting new roofs on each building and installing solar panels on each building during our stay. I would recommend this unit and property to any family looking for a clean, well maintained, affordable unit in the Kona area.

San Francisco, CA, United States4107 Sea Village
Left on 04/15/2012 for a stay in April 2012
The overall stay in Kona was great and the Sea Village is in a wonderful location. The unit itself left a bit to be desired. The dishes in the cabinets were not clean & when I went to re-wash them I discovered why---the liquid detergent had been watered down. I'm assuming so the owner didn't have to buy more. The clothing detergent was a generic brand that was in clumps & unfit to wash clothes. I had specifically inquired if the unit had a blender & was told it did---not exactly true. There was a hand held chopped/blend device that CAN NOT blend beverages & is incredible dangerous as the spinning blade is exposed. No frills...barely the basics. One roll of single ply papertowels that were useless, no cleaning supplies & zero kitchen hand towels. Be prepared to go purchase all the basics except Salt & Pepper (that was provided) but after the extremely cheap toilet paper, low quality detergent & watered down dish detergent I was afraid to actually ingest the seasoning. You'll want to pick up some coffee too or walk up to the on property coffee shop in the morning---it's probably safer as the unit doesn't have a water filtration system & the tap water doesn't taste good and will ruin any coffee brewed. Nice pool, hot tub with great ocean view.

Parksville, BC, CanadaLovely Location, Good View and Close Proximity to Town
Left on 03/13/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Our stay at 4107 Sea Village was enjoyable and relaxing. The resort is a mile from town so walking to the various sites was easy. We saw dolphins daily from the lanai and one day there was a whale sighting. The complex has a pool, hot tub, nice propane barbecues and picnic tables for resident use. The unit has been upgraded with a walk-in shower and granite countertops and the furniture is of good quality. We used the lanai every day and would have enjoyed more comfortable seating but the plastic furniture was fine. There are beach toys, flippers and chairs to use. The master bathroom could use some updates - the showerhead should be replaced. The linens and towels were of good quality and there were plenty. Beach towels were supplied. There are numerous kitchen utensils, dishes and pots and pans. My only suggestion would be for some dishcloths instead of just a sponge and for garbage bags to be left for tenant use. The washer and dryer were handy. Although the unit was relatively clean, under the bed revealed old receipts and used kleenex and the vent in the masterbath was very dirty. One thing everyone should be aware of is that a premium is charged for credit card use. All in all, I would recommend the unit and we enjoyed our stay.

Seattle, WAGreat Place, comfortable and inviting.
Left on 11/30/2011 for a stay in November 2011
The condo was great. It is very well layed out and for the most part clean. The bathroom in the master bedroom needs some maintenance. The tub/shower diverter needs to be cleaned as water comes out in both places no matter what you do. Also the bathroom cabinet is falling apart. The other thing that would have made this place perfect would have been nicer chairs on the deck. The plastic chairs are small and uncomfortable. The kitchen was great and the living area was very comfortable. It was also nice being on the main floor. I would rent this condo again.

The kitchen sink faucet needed to be replaced. It is rusting out. The smoke alarm had to be removed everytime we used the dryer. Needs better lanai furniture. Overall fanatastic place, great view of the ocean and pool area clean and welcoming. Loved the BBQ area.

Left on 01/26/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Ample dishes and etc. to make life easy. There were only 2 adult women, but we had to wash towels every day in the tiny washer/dryer provided.
There was long hair in the bathrooms (not ours by any means), sand in the corners, not sure the bathrooms had been cleaned? All the rugs were very dirty in the bathrooms, the front door and under the coffee table which had nail clipping under it. Took the drainer off the garbage disposer and remains of food must have been left to rot as the stench was terrible. The kitchen faucet needs attention. The coffee maker should be replaced. There was a sign on the deck that said not to hang clothes or towels on it, however, there was a large rug hanging on the rail. I don't know where it belonged. There was contruction of some kind taking place upstairs from after 8 AM till afternoon. -

My family and I just got back from a 9 day stay at Sea Village 4107 in Kailu Kona. What a great place !!! When we return, we'll request this unit again. This place is in great condition with all the amenities we have in our own home. We couldn't believe how well equipped it was... from kitchen items to linens/towels to beach items like boogie boards, chairs and toys. The condo is very clean, very spacious and right on the water (not to mention only a 1 mile walk down Alli'i drive to the main shopping and restaurants in town).
Sea Village Management: The General Manager Travis is awesome. The hot water wasn't working the first day - Travis came down after hours, pulled the oven out and reset the switch on the water heater. First class service... and a real accomodating cool guy. -

We had an ocean front unit and really enjoyed it. Nearly every night we walked the mile or so into Kona, ate dinner, and walked back. Pool area and outside grills are kept up well. Our unit was immaculate. (Refrigerator made weird noises at times but that was our only complaint.) Felt safe. Great location to hiking, snorkeling, etc.

The main bathroom needs an overhaul. There was nothing in the kitchen at all no salt pepper , and when I mean nothing there was nothing. There was only a corn broom on the lanai but no broom in the closet, just a dust mop. Knives need a sharpener or a new steel, very dull. But the view was beautiful and the rest of the suite was nice.

Corbett, OrToo many rules - Too few amenities
Left on 03/26/2009 for a stay in March 2009
It looked like the place was about rules and wanting to charge you extra - not about making your stay pleasant and enjoyable. Lose a key, it's $50! Leave a towel unwashed, it's $50! Leave sand on the floor, you might not get your $300 deposit back. And the cleanup fee was $150 - way too high. I called the manager once pretravel and he didn't return my call. The unit was smaller than I anticipated for the price. I was told it was walking distance to town - it turned out to be over a mile one way. It would have been helpful to know the exact distance to town. Next time I would stay at the Royal Kona or some other full service hotel. Maybe I just like having maid service, no deposit, no cleanup fee, no constant threats to charge you more for any minor offense (four towels to wash instead of three or failure to take out a bathroom garbage can).

We really enjoy Sea Village. This was a good unit, but not as good as last year's (don't remember the unit #). The kitchen equipment needs to be overhauled: too many duplicates. When we arrived no canner open that wasn't rusty and the hair dryer didn't work. Brad took quick care of those issues. Thanks, Brad! Housekeeping is exceptional! The shower in the 2nd bath needs to be over-hauled. Very pleasant stay.

Our family of 4 stayed at the Sea Village for 11 nights and enjoyed everything. Most every night we walked into town for dinner and then back. Perfect distance. We really had fun using the boogie boards provided. The pool area was wonderful and the complex was thankfully quiet at night. Next time we go to Kona, we will stay here again.

This was an excellent condo in excellent condition. My boys (4&5) enjoyed the pool and it was a great location for my husband and I. The only complaint that I had is that I was charged an additional $35 for a load of towels that was already washing in the washer. My recommendation is to make sure that all of the towels are washed before leaving to avoid an additional charge. Other than that - I would whole heartedly recommend this property!!
