Schweinfurt, GermanyWonderful Place to stay near Kona

Anchorage, AKGecko house!
Left on 01/24/2013 for a stay in December 2012
Between watching the wild turkeys and finding geckoes in abundance, this house provided a lively experience for all. The pool was too cold for all but the most determined swimmers, and the lack of wi-fi meant we had to drive to town to use our I-Pads Gorgeous view from the huge lanai and a lovely neighborhood. The house itself allowed private spaces for our family of 8 + one infant. Downstairs room was too musty to use without laundering all the bedding (lacks good circulation; our couple both had allergic reactions until this was done).
Overall, Nohealani Hale was the perfect Christmas house; but I wouldn't rent it again without wi-fi.

The house and ohana are both very well equipped and nicely furnished. Gorgeous view from the front lanai. Lots of room for a family gathering. Walua Rd is a beautiful walking area. This is so centrally located that it is easy to get to town, grocery shopping, etc. A nice quiet neighborhood. The only thing lacking was having an internet connection.

We were so grateful for our time here at Nohealani Hale home. We were truly blessed to have so much space and privacy. Our son was Married in Kona and all those who came for the wedding loved the place we chose to stay at.
Everyone loved it here, and we look forward to coming back for our next visit.
The staff at SunQuest were truly amazing. They made our stay here wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed.
Thank You SunQuest for everything.
The elevation was perfect, cool and comfortable. And close to everything. We loved everything about this place.
We truly recommend this place for families and we will be tell others of this place.

DenmarkFabulous base for a larger family exploring western Hawaii
Left on 08/15/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The house is located a little up the hill of Hualalai, resulting in about the best view imaginable of the Kailua-Kona coast and up the rainforest. The house is in the middle of a very nice and quiet neighborhood. This made the house an excellent base for our stay in Hawaii.
The living room of the house has all necessary amenities, and we enjoyed the large well equipped kitchen. During occasional afternoon showers, the living area and the lanai was perfect.
The only reason why we do not rate this house excellent, is because of the dampness of the downstairs bedroom, and because two garbage bins emptied weekly is really to little for a house this size. -

We had a great stay at the Nohealani Hale. We were there for 2 weeks from Nov 25th to Dec 9th. The house is as it states on the website. It turned out in the end that there were only 6 of us, and the house has the ability to sleep 16, so needless to say, we had tons of room! We didn't even go into the basement with the excpetion of looking into it to see what it looked like. One of the best things was the bathroom/shower in each room/suite. 16 might be a tad crowded if you had to sleep on the hideabeds, but certainly doable! My husband and I stayed in the poolhouse while my 2 daughters, son in law and grandaughter stayed in the main house. Another of my favorite things was the pool, as that is where we spent quite a bit of time while our 15 month old grandaughter would have her morning nap before we left for the day. We were able to have our coffee and relax time by the pool and still listen for her as she napped in the house. Something that we would not have felt comfortable doing in a resort with the possibilty of our room being some distance away. The roosters all housr of the night were a bit of a nuissance but not the fault of anyone! After a few nights of being awake at 3:00, 4:00 etc and not being able to go back to sleep, I decided to sleep with earplugs which helped. As I said the house was roomy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The couches were not the most comfortable, which wasn't a huge problem since we didn't spend that much time of them. I would recommend this place to friends and family and would certanly consider staying there again if we get back to the Big Island. We were there in 2003 and it turnes out we stayed in a house that was only 2 blocks away...that was weird as we had no idea until my daughter and I went for a walk one morning. Staff at Sunquest was very helpfula nd accomodating. Keys were left for us along with a map and detailed instructions on how to get to the house. all in all, a great stay!

MinnesotaA wonderful stay in paradise.
Left on 01/09/2012 for a stay in December 2011
The house was perfect for me and my family. There were 12 of us and we fit comfortable. It was a wonderful stay.
We only had a couple of issues: the pool is very cold, the west room in the house had an uncomfortable hard bed, and there was dirt in the pool even after it was cleaned. Other than those issues, it was excellent. -

We were delighted to find this home larger than expected and easily accommodating 2 triathletes, their friends, fans and families. It was close to the airport, which made picking up various members of the Kona "dream team" very convenient. The house cooled off nicely at night, but the athletes appreciated the option of aC in the lower level bedroom. The kitchen was marvelously equipped for large family style dining. The staff at Sunquest was friendly and helpful. And how can you not love the lanai? If they qualify again, we'll be back.

The perfect vacation home......
honoluluWhat an awesome vacation!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect,
we stayed in the main house along with another couple and our two daughters stayed in the downstairs room and the ohana house with their family. Then we all got together and had our meals on the lanai or the beautiful dining area where we would watch the sunset or just have breakfast and see the view overlooking the ocean, what a breathtaking sight. Our family came to visit and we just had a great time. The kids would be in the pool all day if they could, they just had so much fun. The kitchen was fully equiped with everything we needed to cook with and then some. Our total stay there was really awesome. We hope to visit there again next year. -

Anniversary Couples
Simi Valley, CAOutstanding setup for large or small groups!
Left on 02/24/2011 for a stay in February 2011
We absolutly loved the fact that there are three separate units to this home. We were traveling with two other couples, all of us celebrating wedding anniversaries. This home allowed each couple to have their own private unit yet be together in the main house when we wanted. The view of Kona and the bay from the lanai is just awesome. We enjoyed the sunset the evenings we made it home in time. We loved the fact that we were outside of the ever busy Kona area yet close enough to be there shopping whenever we desired. The house was stocked with all the amenities needed all we added was our own food. This home is exactly as described on the SunQuest website!! The staff at SunQuest were easy to work with and we appreciated the easy pick up and delivery of the keys. Thanks for making our anniversary celebration so very memorable!

Centralia, WashingtonPerfect family rental!!
Left on 03/23/2009 for a stay in November 2008
We rented the Nohealani Hale house with two other families for a ten day stay. It was a perfect fit for all six adults and four children. The view was beautiful; the house was very clean and up to date. We loved having the pool and would not rent a house now without one. We did lots of cooking both inside and outside on the grill. The washer and dryer was outside which was great for all the wet swim gear and towels. The house is in a great location, very short drive into town. I would definitely recommend this house for families with or without children! This was our first trip to the Big Island and if we visit this island again I would absolutely stay in the same house!
