I booked this house for a week with my (senior) parents. The house is comfortable, and the views of Kona are spectacular, especially in the evenings. The house is clean and well-appointed, with good quality linens, towels, appliances and so forth, and is "holiday at the beach" decorated, without being so fussy you can't enjoy yourself. Also, the location worked for us -- only a few minutes from Holualoa (and the great restaurant there), and a clean shot to downtown Kona. We also liked the fact that the house could be rented with fewer than the total bedrooms -- this is a great place with a big family, but worked for us as a three-some -- the owners simply locked off the extra bedrooms.
Very little to criticise -- with the hillside (spectacular) view comes being, well, on a hillside, so if you want to bike from the house that will be a challenge. We loved the view and biked elsewhere. Otherwise, the key code we were provided was wrong on arrival (two quick calls to the management company sorted that out, fortunately), and arriving after dark was difficult as there were no lights on. I suggested they put in some motion-sensor-activated lights that would solve that completely -- these are nits, obviously -- 10 minutes after we unlocked the door they were forgotten completely but when you're tired after a long flight, etc., it's not a hassle you want.
Definitely a great place to stay for a casual week in Kona. -

Rented this awesome home for a week last month and thoroughly loved it. The views are definitely spectacular. Close to shopping which is a plus to save money on not going out to eat every night. I will stay here again...
