Description from the owner
The First floor oceanfront house sits on a quiet 3 house residential cul-de-sac. In front is a Hawaiian sacred site of Great King Kamehameha I. It is filled with lush tropical Palm and Kauvai Trees, fruits, flowers and wildlife including a bird sanctuary. ©
In front of the sacred site is a famous surfing spot, Kamoa Point. When the surf is cracking, experienced surfers come from all over the Big Island to refine their skill. This is just one thing you will see while lounging on the lani. Kamoa Point also attracks Outrigger canoe paddling, spinner dolphins, surfing, Humpback Whales, and para-sailing. ©

1 This was our first trip to The big island of Hawaii and I must say we are already planning the trip for next year. We were invited by friends that have a timeshare and are so thankful.
Stay: we really enjoyed our accommodations because they were set up more like apartments than a hotel room. We had a 2 bed/bath, full kitchen, living room, and balcony. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfy.
Things to do: On the first full day of being there we were given a presentation by several companies on the island. It's a great way to find something to do if it's your first time. We decided to do the circle island tour from polynesian adventures. It's a long day (11 hours) but our tour guide/bus driver Jan was very entertaining and educated us on the island while making pit stops along the way. It is defintely worth doing at least once. We saw a black sand beach, lava tubes, and the most southenmost part of the u.s. We also went snorkeling which was so cool and on the way back we saw flipper dolphins. The captain of the boat we were on was kind enough to stop and let us take pics. (forgot the name of that company) we also ziplined from the only ccompany on the big island that ziplined in the trees. The ride up from Kona took about an hour but it was worth it once we got there. They trucked us another 15 minutes on the coolest vehicle I've ever been in. There are about 9 ziplines and 3 suspended bridges. I won't ruin the surprise but the end was awesome! We also went parasailing. Also went for a hike at the Place of Refuge.
What to eat: I must say that chain restaurants are frowned upon there but it's no biggie because you don't go to Hawaii to eat at a chain place. Try some local places, you won't be sorry. -

This was a wonderful experience. This hotel is centrally located and just a short walk down to the ocean. The concierge was very helpful in assisting us with different activities to participate in and since we were members we received a discount for the different activities also. Very large rooms and the sand bottom Jacuzzi was like no other. There are plenty of outside grill areas for entertaining and the grounds are beautifully maintained
