Truffle is delighted to be offering exclusively, 4 of these suberb apartments for the 2012 season, Leylek, Serce and Maria, all of which have their own private pool, and new for 2013, Caro which has a fantastic spa pool in it's roof terrace.. These apartments sleep between 4 and 6 guests. Each apartment is fully furnished to a high standard in a contemporary style. All apartments have the use of the large main pool and sun terrace.
Asfiya Retreat is located between the Regency and Rhapsody hotels, just off the Kalamar Road and are only a 10 minute walk from the Old Town.

Asfiya Retreat apartments are within a 10 minute walk of the shops, restaurants, harbour and Old Town of Kalkan.
Kalkan is an all round year holiday destination with historical sites and fantastic beaches (Patara Beach). It is an historic fishing village set in a fantastic bay with breathtaking landscape and is the ideal getaway nestled in the heart of the Lycian region of the Turkish Mediterranean Turquoise coast.
Located on Turkey's south west coast, between the towns of Fethiye (85 km to the west) and Kas (27 km to the east). With dramatic views of the Taurus Mountains behind and shimmering sea views of the Mediterranean to the front of the town.
It has a horseshoe harbour full of fishing boats and gulets there are narrow cobbled streets, Ottoman houses and roof terrace bars and a fantastic choice of many restaurants where you can leisurely dine whilst watching the sunset over the harbour and listen to the call to prayer from the waterside mosque.
The Old Town has numerous boutique-style shops selling an array of jewellery, clothing, leather goods, Turkish carpets and lighting. Every Thursday there is a local open-air market selling anything from fresh vegetables, clothing, household goods to herbs and spices. A great place to wander round and do a bit of bartering. Ladies, there is plenty of choice for retail therapy !
Kalkan is ideal for couples looking for a romantic break but also has everything for families or groups of friends.

Very nice apartment. Clean, comfortable and easy walking distace to Kalkan old town.Loved having the private pool although sunbathing area a bit small for more than 2. However, complex has own poolwhich gets sun all day long and plenty of beds, sunbathing areas and not crowded. Some days we had this ti ourselves-2 private pools.

We stayed at the Maria apartment in the first week of October 2012; the apartment is in a complex of app. 10 apartments, was well appointed and is in a quiet area of Kalkan 10 to 15 minutes walk from the town centre;ideal for relaxing holiday. The private pool was clean but cold, the shared main pool was again clean and warmer! Plenty of sunbeds around the communal pool. Local manager not the best communicator in our view. Truffles service in the UK excellent.

We had a fantasic time in the asfiya Retreat apartments. The apartment had all the amenities you could wish for and any queries or questions we had were answered immediately and efficiently by the management team. The location is perfect for walking into the town or you can just lay by the lovely pool and relax. Definitely one of the best apartments we have stayed in and one of the nicest places!

Second visit to apartment Leylek in Kalkan over two years running. I never go back go the same place as i think the worlds too small and always look for new experiences but this is a lovely apartment with private pool within easy reach of Kalkan centre, where there is an amazing assortment of fab restaurants and minimal neon and where relaxation is guaranteed!
The apartment has its own pool so you can have your own privacy but the complex also has its own pool where you can catch the evening sun.
I love everything about the apartment and Kalkan and my only negative is that a building has been erected opposite the apartment and now blocks some (not all) of the great view. It faces the sea though so does not overlook the apartment.
You have to go to see for yourself :) -

This was the first myself and Nicola had been to Kalan, and rest assured we will be returning. Nigel and Mel at Truffle were more then helpful especially when there was a last minute hitch with our appartment for the 2nd week. They came to is with a solution rather than a problem and our holiday was not impacted at all.
I can recommend booking the private transfer, it is well worth the money and we were glad not to have to pack into a coach at Dalaman airport.
We stayed in Serce in our first week and it was a lovely appartment. Very well kitted out, but having your own pool was perfect, especially in the heat which is relentless. Asfiya is no more than a 10min walk into town, so location is great. Local supermarket on Kalamar road is useful for odds and ends and only a 5 min stroll with the large supermarket up the hill on the main road in only about a 15min walk. The second week we stayed un La Mare around the corner - stunning views across, but we did miss having our pool! That said, you are only a 10min walk to the beach clubs Indigo and Yali - highly recommend both.
Deniz who is the local manager for Truffle was excellent and very helpful when called upon.
I would not hesitate in recommending Truffle as someone to book through, it was easy, good service and the accomodation is exactly how they describe it on the site.
Kalkan itself is lovely, Restaurants are great and not overly expensive (compared to London prices that is).
If you are self catering, get meat from the Meat & Chicken Gallery, local buthcer on the round-a-bout at the end of Kalmar Rd, very cheap, friendly and good meat, the greengrocers next door, all fresh produce and ridiculously cheap as well, and it supports the locals, rather then the Tesco owned supermarket a bit further down.
All in a a wonderful 2 weeks, we will be back! -

From the start, the holiday was well organised by Truffle and the experience was enhanced by the quality of the apartment and the overall kalkan experience. A 10 minute walk into town we were surrounded by lovely restaurants staffed by friendly people. Truffle had arranged a hire car for us which we made full use of. Kalkan is a delightful place which still remains unspoilt and we will definitely be going back for our 4th holiday there.

This is a great place to stay and having a private pool, meant that the apartment was like a villa, with the added bonus of being able to use the main pool if you wish.
The apratment is conveniently located to Kalkan (just a short walk).
We would definately return again. -

Our third year with Truffle Residences, each time a different location. Great location, we had a private pool as well as use of the main pool. Immaculate apartment, cleaned three times in two weeks (bedding changed too). Large rooms, all facilities. Bit short on outside seating (2 loungers for a 6 bed apartment, 4 bean bags but not quite the same). Good overall.

First class from start to finish. Second time staying in a Truffle residence and was not dissapointed. The properties are very well equipped and furnished luxuriously.
The location was perfect, great views and very quiet.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Maria apartment, especially having our own private swimming pool which was the icing on the cake! This was our 3rd visit to Kalkan and would say the only thing missing was the view but to get everything I suspect you would have to be situated way up on the hill which we did not want. This apartment is well equipped, well looked after & has everything you could wish for.
The apartment is just off the Kalamar Road and is an easy 15 mins stroll into town.
The people from Truffles are extremely helpful and dealt with any queries we had very quickly and efficiently. Would certainly recommend this apartment/company. -

We spent 2 weeks in Leylek apartment at the end of May/early June. The apartment was exactly as advertised and more than met our expectations. Even though it is more than adequately equipped to support a full self-catering holiday, as it was our first trip to Kalkan we did eat out in the town every night. We would certainly like to return in the future and take the opportunity to cook for ourselves more next time. The private pool was probably the clincher for us. Our 10 year old daughter never tired of being in there and neither did we. It was also a delight to switch on the pool lights when we got in at night, have a nightcap outside and look down onto the town. All in all we had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Leylek and thoroughly enjoyed the luxury this apartment offered. Special thanks to Sally for greeting us at such an unsocial hour in the middle of the night and the nice gesture for our daughter's birthday. Thanks also to Deniz for generally being on hand to answer any queries we had.

We stayed in the Maria apartment which was perfect for us, 2 double bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms and another small single bedroom. We were a group of 3, myself, my husband and my sister.The Maria apartment had a private pool which was perfect for cooling off and we used it all of the time. It was nice just to walk a few paces from sun lounger to the fridge to prepare yourself a nice cool drink. There is a larger communal pool also. The apartment was perfect , all modern ameneties and was spotlessly clean and very tastefully furnished with lots of little extra touches like truffle toiletries, Beach towels etc which is a godsend with the restrictions on baggage allowance these days!
Location just a 10 minute walk in to town and the lovely harbour area where you are spoiled for choice with an abundance of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.
Our flight was delayed and Nigel rearranged our transfer which we were very grateful for. Booking was a breeze, Deniz was there to meet us when we arrived , I cannot rate the team highly enough and would like to say a very special thank you to Deniz for arranging our late check out and allowing us to even although there were new guests coming in to the apartment. We had a great time and would definitely recommend, I have no doubt at all that we will use truffle again and we will definitely be back. Thank you Nigel, Mel and Deniz. -

In 2012 Truffle added more apartments to their list at asfiya Retreat which is in a fantastic position in Kalkan.
Unfortunately the one we stayed in, "Flurya" was not finished and as a result we had a very disappointing eight days before they moved us out to "Chocolate Blue" for the remaining six days.
I have no doubt that this will eventually be a very nice site, but please make sure your apartment is finished and there photographic evidence to prove it.
The staff at asfiya are excellent and made our stay bearable, but please, beware!!Response from Truffle Residences - 06/09/2012

We are very sorry that our guests had a disappointing experience during the first part of their holiday with us. We are pleased to hear that despite this our staff offered a high level of service and provided alternative accommodation, as soon as it was available.
We were personally very disappointed on our recent visit to Kalkan to find that the owner of "Flurya" had not finished the apartment to our required standards, despite assurances that it had been. Subsequently, we have removed this property and 4 other apartments at Asfiya Retreat from the Truffle website as internally they do not meet the standards we expect. All the properties we are marketing through Truffle, including those remaining at Asfiya Retreat, are finished to a high standard and have photographs. We have learnt from this experience to never offer a property on the assurance from an owner that it will be finished in time for the start of the season.

The apartment is nicely furnished and has all the creature comforts you need - even a couple of pleasant surprises when you get there (books to read, sunhat, mosquito tablets etc). It's no more than 10 minutes walk into town. The pool is great, used it loads. Am planning another stay next year with more friends!

This was our second time staying in one of the Truffle properties. Once again, we were not disappointed. We had a fantastic time - Truffle offer those extra little comforts that you don't usually get from a villa. The apartment was very well equipped, very peaceful and only a short stroll to the town. We had a fab time and will definitely be back!

Brand new apartment. We couldn't believe our luck.
Beautifully appointed and furnished. Spacious, light and the view and our own plunge pool made it extra special.
Excellent location- an easy and pleasant 5 to 10 minute stroll into Kalkan. Slight incline comimg back, but nothing too difficult.
Truffle Residences service excellent - both booking and in resort.
We had a lovely relaxing time and many happy moments by our pool. Lovely!
