Set in a perfect, quiet location, yet only a 10-15 min stroll to the centre of Kalkan, Villa Barinak is a 3 bedroom villa that has it all: south facing overlooking Kalkan & Kalamar bays, spacious & light rooms, fully fitted kitchen with all mod cons, 3 en-suite bedrooms, all with access to large terraces and stunning sea views, 2 double sofabeds, downstairs WC, satellite TV, DVD player, stereo. Additional Location Information
The villa is on the quiet outskirts of Kalkan but only a 15 minute stroll into town & 20 mins to the nearest beach. There is a great little shop just round the corner and numerous places to grab a bite or drink, if you don't feel like walking into town. Lovely views of 2 bays. You can park right outside the villa. The short road up to the villa is quite steep but there is a flatter road for walking going east from the villa.

Ascot, United KingdomIdeal villa in so many ways!
Left on 11/26/2012 for a stay in October 2012
I have stayed at this villa 3 times. It is in a quiet location, uphill from central Kalkan, and yet within walking distance of the town and nearby shops and restaurants. The facilities are excellent and the recently refurbished bathrooms are quite luxurious. Comfortable beds wih good quality cotton bedlinen make for a good night's sleep. The private area outside for eating, 'chilling out', sunbathing and swimming is secluded and big enough for a party. There are lovely views over Kalkan from the south-facing terraces - sunshine all day. Altogether, it is a great place to choose for either a relaxing or lively holiday.

from landing in turkey to leaving everything was spot on, from the transfer to the villa and getting the keys was so easy.
The villa was clean and tidy with everything you would need, I liked that there was a welcome pack. with a shop 2 mins walk down the road and only 10 mins to the centre of Kalkan, where they are more supermarkets and local shops, butchers and friut and veg shops which are better vaule for your money.
the views from the villa was just stunning, especially at night just as the sun was setting, even in october/ november it was still warm enough to sit outside, walking back to the villa was not the best as it is all up hill. It was getting qutie in Kalkan as it was coming to the end of the season but suited us fine,I will have to come back sometime but in May or june when it's abit busier

Had the best time in Kalkan and staying at Villa Barinak was a major contributor to why the vacation was so nice. Beautiful views and effortless check in and booking process complete with suggestions on where to eat/what to do etc. would go back in a heartbeat.

Left on 09/05/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Villa Barinak is charming and full of character. The 'Ottoman' area on the roof terrace in particular is a wonderful amenity with beautiful views over the bays and a cooling breeze in the evening - perfect for a pre-dinner drink! The villa's manager and owner could not have been more helpful. Kalkan itself is delightful, the local people very accommodating, the restaurants excellent, the sea crystal clear and warm, and there is plenty to do whether you want to lounge in the sun or venture farther afield. We did both! One word of advice - it is very hot in the summer and the town is very hilly!

Have just spent two wonderful weeks in Villa Barinak. I would say it is the best villa we have rented over a good number of years. Not only does it have everything you could possibly want but it is also really beautiful - covered in a host of colourful flowers. It is perfectly located in Kalkan - just a 15 minute walk to all the wonderful restaurants and shops (although we always got a taxi back as it is a tad steep!) Susan organised the airport transfers for us and was very helpful throughout. We are already planning our return trip.

A very comfortable villa with good sized bedrooms and living areas. All the bedrooms have balconies and the views from all are fantastic. The chill-out area on the roof terrace is terrific. Facilities are good and include satellite TV, chilled water and an icemaker. Local shops and restaurants are around the corner and Kalkan itself is within walking distance.

This is our second stay at Villa Barinak. The villa is very spacious and in a lovely spot - great access to Kalkan and Kalamar bay and fantastic views. It comfortably sleeps 6 (or more) as there is plenty of space. Excellent cleaning team as well.

Londona great time in Kalkan
Left on 08/24/2010 for a stay in June 2010
We visited the villa in June, the weather was great and the villa suited us perfectly. The villa's a great size & good layout with a lovely Ottoman area off the top floor which has fab views of both Kalkan and Kalamar bays - perfect for pre/post dinner drinks! The pool is vital and gets the sun for most of the day with plenty of loungers around the edge. We rented a car from Enes car rental (2 mins from the villa) which I would recommend, the villa is walk-able to the town
but it's nice to have the flexibility a car, parking in Kalkan is free. We walked in to town most nights and then took a cab back from the rank (about £4). There are lots of great restaurants of varying price depending how close to the water you go. We had a couple of faves - Aubergine: pricey but really fantastic, the lunch menu is v good and not as £££ as dinner. We also loved Korsan Kepab for lunch and low key suppers, the restaurant next door is also great. There is a great place above Yapi Kredi bank where we had the most enormous Tiger Prawns! There are a huge variety of restaurants to choose from and we weren't disappointed once. Taking a boat out for the day is a great way to explore the coast and check out the amazing water, you can either do communal boat trips or take a whole boat which is what we did. We rented the Pina X which had a great captain and including lunch and drinks cost £135 which between the group was definitely worth it. There are two main beach clubs close to the villa with a free shuttle, although we drove. The Yali: smarter and more private and the Kalamar: larger with more for families and young people. Both have a restaurant for lunch and will bring you drinks. Mention you are staying at Barinak and it should be 7L pp per day. This was our first trip to Kalkan in about 10
years and we have already booked to come back to the villa next year as we had such a great time. We have already recommended the place to friends who are booking up for next year too! -

GlasgowFabulous Turkish Holiday in Kalkan
Left on 08/18/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We had the most amazing holiday with our 3 children (aged 9 - 14). Villa Barinak met our every requirement and we especially loved the ottoman and pool areas. Also the views from the villa were stunning. Our 2 boys completed a scuba diving course at Kalamar Beach Club which they thoroughly enjoyed. Beautiful rooftop restaurants to dine in and fascinating shops to browse in - we never tired of them! Local people also extremely friendly and welcoming, this was our first visit to Turkey and we will certainly be back.

Lovely villa with beautiful views of Kalkan and surrounding countryside. Fantastic deep pool, with use of larger family pool at adjoining building. Ottoman area attached to master bedroom is wonderful. All facilities of high standard. Strongly recommended.

Left on 06/13/2010 for a stay in July 2009
This is a great villa, modern well kept facilities with a touch of traditional style. It has all mod cons and the agent is on hand next door if you need anything. The service from the agents was faultless. The pool is an essential asset while the ottoman area on the roof is glorious. Kalkan is a great place to relax or use as a base to explore from. If your after relaxation make sure you take a day boat hire trip from the harbour. There are shops near to the villa if your self catering. We have recommended this villa and Kalkan to a number of friends who have since visited and enjoyed it as much as we did.

Isle of WightEarly Turkish Holiday
Left on 06/06/2010 for a stay in April 2010
We had a good holiday in Kalkan our villa was excellent and the weather was great. Kalkan its self is not very Turkish and a bit on the expensive side in comparison to other parts of Turkey. You also need to be reasonable fit as the area has some steep hills so transport is advisable. Overall we had a great time.

So glad you enjoyed the villa. I'm surprised you didn't think Kalkan very Turkish. As it's on the Med, you get a mixture of Europe and Middle East, but we find the Turkish influence prevails! The welcome you get is second to none.

Villa Barinak has everything you need for an escape to the sun and more. The layout of the villa and equipment throughout is exceptional. The kids enjoyed their own rooms but liked to meet up on their adjoining balcony.
The rooftop Otterman area was my favourite part of the villa. If you can see youself lying on a huge cushioned area with a cooling breeze, sea views and sipping on the tipple of your desire then this is the place for you. Having kids to fetch your choice of refreshment will be a bonus!
Obviously to get sea views you have to be high up the hill. The upside apart from the views was the 15 minute stroll downhill to the town. However this is not long enough to decide which restaurant to dine in as there are dozens of fine restaurants. The downside would be the walk back if we had actually done it but we always got a taxi back (Just under £5)
Our taxi transfers (Organised by Villa management) were spot on. It means you can start your holiday on the plane without having to be concerned about your transfer. They were comfortable, punctual and proffessional. On arrival the driver went and called the caretaker who came immediately to let us in. He was available 24/7 should you require his services or advice.
Finally, we have been fortunate enough to travel to many parts of the world and stayed in various forms of accommodation. Villa Barinak has the 'Wow' factor. From the pool area to the rootop it is spacious and luxurious. You will not be disappointed. -

Cricklade, WiltshireOur holiday at the Villa in Kalkan was the best holiday ever!
Left on 06/06/2010 for a stay in August 2009
Susan was brilliant to deal from the very first enquiry we made right through to our return to the UK. The villa was just as described and more, with everthing catered for. The views from the villa are stunning across the town and the sea and on every side of the villa too. The location of the villa was good, everything on hand that we needed with local bars and shops in walking distance, although we did end up hiring a jeep to help with the steep walk in the heat. The local people of Kalkan are so friendly and we felt totally safe and relaxed. Due to the fact we went at the hottest time of the year we didn't get out sightseeing as much as we'd have liked so we made the most of the villa and pool and had the most relaxing, luxurious holiday ever. We spent every evening on the roof terrace on the Ottoman playing cards, reading and drinking cocktails before going out for dinner or eating at the villa. By the evening the temperature was perfect and the views at night from the villa were stunning. The least enjoyable aspect for us was the extreme heat due to the time of year we went, that said we made the most of the pool and the air conditioning in the villa to keep us cool! The most amazing aspect of the villa and holiday generally was the stunning views and the relaxing effect this had on us. The next time we go we're going to go earlier in the year so we can get about a bit more and really see everything that Kalkan has to offer and we can't wait!
