London, England, United KingdomFabulous holiday
Left on 09/07/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Spent two wonderful weeks here with friends. Our group consisted of 6 adults and 5 children and there was something for everyone. When we weren't visiting beaches, ancient ruins, beautiful gorges, river rafting or on boat trips, we were happy lounging around the pool. There are more restaurants in town than you could possibly visit in a fortnight and the average meal for 11 people, inc. drinks, was £75. The price increases the closer to the harbour you get, although unfortunately the service doesn't always.
Once the kids were in bed we would retire to the roof top bar and it's stunning views.
I would definitely recommend a boat trip on Yaldiz 2 with Capt. Osman and family. They were fantastic hosts.
My sons said this was the best holiday ever and considering we went to Disneyland Florida last year this is high praise indeed. -

Melksham, United Kingdomabsolutely fantastic holiday in such a wonderful villa
Left on 08/08/2011 for a stay in July 2011
we can truly say the only down side of this wonderful holiday was that we only stayed for one week!! Cannot praise this beautiful villa enough. The various ages in our group staying at villa tera mare ranged from 74 to 10 and we were all accomodated for wonderfully. The pool was a hit with everyone, we couldnt keep the children out of it! The fantastic evenings spent under the stars at the roof top bar were truly magical. The villa was beautiful and had everything you could ask for, and more. Kalkan itself was a dream, with the pretty shops, and beautiful scenery. So many restaurants, all with such great service, and even better food! very reasonable and everyone so very friendly and helpful. The two older members of our group did find the hills a little steep and daunting at times, but with such a great taxi service on hand, all very reasonably priced, they were always able to join us in town, for a meal, a drink or two or just a wander around the many shops. A very big thank you to Mustafa and all his team for all their help, nothing was too much trouble. A wonderful holiday was had by all!

Kent, UKAmazing!

We had the opportunity to stay in this wonderful villa 2-9 July '11 and can honestly say that the property far exceeded our expectations. We never tired of the amazing view of the bay from the roof terrace, and spent many evenings enjoying a pre-dinner drink up there before taking a stroll to the harbour for dinner.
The villa is fabulous value for money, extremely clean, well maintained and so very peaceful. The greeting that we received from Murat when we arrived was so friendly and efficient, and nothing was ever too much trouble throughout our stay.
We have already recommended the villa to a number of friends and work colleagues.
We thank Mustafa and his wife for the opportunity to stay in their wonderful villa, and look forward to our return visit soon. -

PerthGreat holiday, bueatifull villa

I can't recommend the villa terramare enough. After several years of villa holidays in spain etc, we decided to try turkey.
I'm very well travelled after 25yrs in the Royal Navy so know what im looking for. After picking Kalkan as our destination in turkey, we found flights easily and cheaply. The villa was another easy choice as it's probably the best villa in kalkan. save yourself time and effort doing searches for hour's. I've been there and back, the villa is hard to beat. Mustafa the owner was more than helpfull and the process of booking the villa and transfers a doddle. The villa itself is as advertised, however to see the villa for the 1st time you realise the just what luxury means. The villa cannot be faulted at in any way, it is perfect in every aspect and detail no matter how small. It is so good we are returning in october. My ownly issue would be the steepness of the local roads to the villa, Howver taxis are cheap and easily available. We had our own personal taxis service for the whole holiday, at no extra cost. My iwfe was concerned about aircon in the villa and mosquito's etc. If all the aircon is turned on the villa turns into the north pole, as for mosquitos my wife used the avon ever so soft cream and we never even saw one. Be prepared to slim down before the holiday, as the food in kalkan is out of this world and can only be beaten by the very high service. If you want a guaranteed holiday to beat them all, book early and relax in the fact you have made the best descision. You won't regreet it. -

MerseysideCalm and relaxing
Left on 09/20/2010 for a stay in May 2009
I stayed with my husband and 2 sons aged 8 and 13. From the moment we arrived at the airport and transported to the villa, we began 2 weeks of relaxation. The villa was beyond our expectations and even the smallest details had been catered for. The villa was large extremely clean and tastefully decorated. The maintenance staff visited daily delivering fresh bread and basic shopping if needed. We had never visited Turkey before and had heard tales of tourist being pestered but not in Kalkan we found everyone to be warm friendly and very welcoming. The only negative that could affect a holiday is that it is quite hilly but once your were familiar with the area you know the places to avoid but this should only effect the less mobile.

Left on 09/17/2010 for a stay in June 2010
The facilities for a group of 7 adults were lavish and only regrets are that with such a good selection of bars/restaurants close at hand in Kalkan we did not exploit the the use of our own bar often enough.
The bay location with watersports close by is excellent but generally location is quiet enough.

Left on 09/17/2010 for a stay in August 2010
Hi Mustafa,
I'm writing to say how much we enjoyed our holiday in Kalkan.
Everything about it was wonderful! Accomodation was brilliant and beautifully fitted out, with everything we needed. We loved the pool, which was kept clean and sparkling and all the people we met were really friendly and helpful, especially Suleyman. As for the views - they were magnificent and really helped make this a very special holiday.
This was our first visit to Turkey and we all loved it. Kalkan is a real gem and we didn't want to leave!
Thank you very much for letting us stay. We hope to come back again soon! -

Brightonbreathtaking views with luxury accommodation - wonderful
Left on 09/15/2010 for a stay in August 2010
Our stay in this complex was wonderful. We had extremely well equipped accomodation, with some luxurious fittings - including an amazing marble mosaic table. The views were outstanding and panoramic. The swimming pools were kept clean and beautiful, like the gardens. There was just the merest hint of towels on sunbeds at dawn, but normally the pool area was quiet and almost empty. The area is very quiet and on an extremely steep hill - our hire car had trouble when fully loaded! However the local beach club (200m down hill) gave us a free ride back in a taxi, so that was ok! I would say that it was better suited to families with older children, rather than very young ones although there were a few under 7s there who were having a great time. Also v romantic place for couples!

LondonWe want to go back!
Left on 08/23/2010 for a stay in June 2010
When we booked Villa Tera Mare with a group of friends this summer, we were looking for an alternative to overcrowded beaches and the bothersome holiday maker crowd. We had the best time ever since our last trip to Indonesia. If you want somewhere close to home but novel enough, and you're a little adventurous but also want to relax, this place is ideal. Kalkan is absolutely breath-taking! From Lycian ruins to watery caverns, there is so much to see and discover...and without those pesky other tourists.
The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and clean. Pretty much what you see in the pictures here. The owners were also great. I think the compound is run by a large family, and while we were there one of the villas was being occupied by our landlord's parents on holiday. They were so warm and welcoming they even invited us to dinner (though don't go there expecting to get free food. That's just rude and presumptuous.)
Over all it's great value for money. Seems pricey at first, especially since we're all students, but there were 7 of us that went so it didn't cost that much at all between us. My friends and I would definitely go back.
