On a ridge overlooking the majestic Wailua River of Kauai sits a quiet vacation paradise, built in typical, charming Hawaiian style. The main house of Magic Sunrise, with its hilltop pool and vista lanai, offers 3 spacious guestrooms exotically decorated in the wonderfully eclectic European style. Each bedroom is between $ 55- $ 65 per night plus tax. There is also an elegant suite and a delightful cottage.

As soon as we arrived, we knew we had hit the jackpot. It felt like bliss - so peaceful, angelic and serene! The view at the back was beautiful. Desiree was there to meet us and always quietly available in the background if we had a question. Meeting and talking to other travellers was great too.
We stayed in the Pele room which was very comfortable and spacious. We shared a bathroom but it was perfectly clean and we never had to wait for it to be vacated.
The communal kitchen was well kitted with everything we wanted including frig and freezer space. It was great to be able to cook for ourselves. Communal and garden areas were large and comfortable.
The location was convenient to both the Na Pali coast to the north and Waimea to the west. Neither area felt like a long drive away. Returning each afternoon was a pleasure in contrast to cold hotel rooms or apartments.
This accommodation was a highlight in a beautiful island, the best of the 4 large islands we visited. -

We felt extremely lucky to have found this place. The pictures on their website only begin to show you how spectacular the view is of the valley! The drive down to the water is only about 10 minutes and the property itself being situated in the middle of the island is perfect for people who want a central location, in order to explore all parts of the island. One of our favorite experiences was climbing up Sleeping Giant to see the sunrise, and this property is only minutes away from accessing it!
The hosts are extremely welcoming, friendly, and laid back. We felt very comfortable, and did not want to leave! We stayed in the apartment, which to our surprise was even more spacious and accomodating than we had expected. We are animal lovers, and found their pet cat and 3 dogs to be a great welcoming commitee!
If you are considering staying here, and are lucky enough to find the dates available for your vacation, you will not be disappointed! -

I arrived in Kauai at night so I was a bit concerned about finding the place in the dark, but the directions I got took me easily there. Desiree was waiting for us for the check in, made a quick tour, lent me some maps book and let us feeling welcome. I was really happy about my choice, the place is exactly like it looks on the pictures. Even the flowers and the bed sheets were exactly the same!! But when I woke up the next day, surprise!! I was completely amazed by the view of the property. I haven't seen it on the pictures before, so that was a big plus. My room was the Pele one, sharing the bathroom with the Dream Time bedroom. The Pele is great, it even has stars on the ceiling that you can see only in the dark, that is a nice touch. The shell lamps are gorgeous and the bed comfortable. But, the Dream Time Bedroom is even nicer, it has an amazing view. Even the bathroom has an amazing view!!! Early in the morning, the valley, the birds, the cool breeze, the wet grass.. The home itself has a nice decoration, beautiful furniture, great layout. There were something like 10 people staying there on the same time as we.. it was a great group, it was a pleasure to go back home at night, have a wine, cook our dinner, share impressions. Me and my boyfriend had an unbelievable time, couldn't be any better. I will go back for sure.
