Property was huge and well stocked with all the essentials you need, a home away from home. Short walk the the beach and great restaurant. Would recommend to all, but check it out for yourself!

Not so good stuff:
The house is not cross the street from the beach. Close, just up the street, NOT across the street.
The biggest problem was the bar/restaurant next door. VERY loud, all day. In the late night/ early AM the drunk patrons leave the bar and have LOUD fights and arguments in the parking lot which was right under our windows and where the large garbage trucks came every day, at 7 AM, and empty dumpsters with MUCH noise and beeping...
The exterior of the house is ugly. No attempt for a nice yard or outdoor space. The balconies don't have comfy furniture and are long and narrow and not inviting.
The indoor furniture is bulky and awkward and not comfy. A few of the beds are too short for even a short person.
The kitchen cabinets close loudly- not cool when you're in the kitchen in the AM and other people are still asleep.
The upstairs configuration is VERY odd. HUGE master suite with no door, just a sliding partition that separates it from the other "bedroom" upstairs. You must be very chummy with the people sleeping upstairs with you because there's no sound insulation...
While the owners of the house have no control over this - the roosters in this hood wake up at 3 AM and are VERY vocal from then until about 8 AM...
We didn't get very good sleep while we stayed here...
The good stuff:
The location is central to Poipu Beach. Our teenagers could walk to places by themselves, easily.
The house is spacious.
The kitchen was well equipped.
The management company people were VERY responsive and helpful (no internet at first, they helped us get it to work)
Very nice washer and dryer.
The master suite is the only room in the house that has a nice view of the ocean and a real Hawaiian feel to it... -

Pros-Great location. Ran down to watch whales @Beach in 2 minutes. Oodles of space.Can’t beat price for location and amount of space. Amenities for the rental were phenomenal. All top-notch furniture. Provided extras-three grills, condiments, cooking oil, foil, saran wrap, spices, detergent and dryer sheets, beach toys, boogie boards. Service-quick response to requests always a yes, yet with some room for improvement. Called to express concern about front door lacking a deadbolt (young children running out). Person came out same day and installed a door latch. Even fulfilled baking powder request.
Cons- Communication-number of instances of failed/bad communication. During reservation process, mentioned needing a high chair and late checkout. No high chair upon arrival and the late check out was not communicated to the cleaning crew. Service was good but too discrete. The high chair was brought over quickly but no call to us. Wife was “surprised†when someone came upstairs to use the bathroom. When we requested things, they would be brought over had to “discover†them. Facilities-One bathroom tub faucet was way too short. The water hit the edge of the tub rather than went into the tub and spilled everywhere. No closet or wardrobe for upstairs. Doorbell and house phone weren’t working. wireless went down twice. ran out of trash liners. Were missing utensils such as the BBQ tools, can opener (apparently all next door). Not enough bowls for cooking/serving. Overall experience was good. Genuine effort to go above and beyond by Kauai Exclusive really stood out. Would definitely stay again. -

Very spacious and beautifully decorated! Met the cleaning crew upon our arrival and they were especially helpful with suggestions for local attractions and tours. Loved it - would highly recommend this place. Easy walk to the most popular beach on the island.

Rented both sides but realized after arriving late in the evening that someone from Vacation Rentals only gave us the entry code for one of the two sides. Make sure you have both pass codes if renting both haves of the home.
No closet, or hangers in Master Suite and one of the two bedrooms down stairs, "very inconvenient". House is also very close to an open air/windows restaurant, can be a mixed blessing... easy access when hungry or can be annoying with the noise from patrons whooping it up. Locations is king here, only one short block to the beach and another block to Brennecke's restaurant. Wireless internet access was a problem, was supposed to an open network, but I was blocked by a password request. Never did get this sorted out. -

this was a great place it will be the place we stay each time we go. great location short walk to the beach. good temp control. lots of space to relax by your self or have a birthday party for your 6 yr old. good kitchen and bathrooms. again we will look at this place 1st every time we come back.

You can not beat the location of this property! It's a 2 minute walk to Kalapaki Joe's, a 4 minute walk to the beach, and a 6 minute walk to Brenneke's. Located on the south side of the island, it's convenient to drive to any point of interest or excursion. The place is huge with plentry of storage and places to hang out. Our group was just two couples and we each got our own floor, but larger groups would be easily accommodated.

We will do it again! Gotta say that from the start. Great house at a great location next to one of the best boogie board beaches on the Kauai. That was a BIG plus since it was an easy walk for the kids, which means me and my wife didn't have to drive them everywhere to keep them "entertained". The house is HUGE and our kids and their friends were "somewhere" upstairs or outside mostly leaving us to enjoy the downstairs until somebody got hungry. We all walked down to the beach park for our daily swim and to watch the turtles feed. The house was well stocked with everything from kitchen ware/appliances, dish and laundry soap, plenty of towels and even some spices. We could see the ocean from the upper deck and I slept outdoors under the stars there one night. Even saw a shooting star! We used the AC when we first got there but next day we opened the windows and let the nice breeze in for the remainder of our time. Very safe, secure location for kids to wander in. Kauai Exclusive has some other very nice properties but this one was sure great for big family fun. Josh was easy to work with. We will use them again when the time comes.

Generally most satisfied with the property. A couple of comments: No closet upstairs - needs some place to hang clothes; Only one towel rack in baths - not enough for the number of people who will be using that large a house; Faucet over baths is not long enough to reach the tub, resulting in most of the water spilling onto the side of the tub. With these exceptions, very pleased with the property.

The TV had a line through it on the turtle side so if we tried to watch the news in the evening it was annoying. The microwave on the dolphin side did not fully work. The ice machine in the refrigerator did not work at all on the turtle side and very minimal on the dolphin side. Suggestion would be having a light for the stairs. As we would leave the house early in the morning and not return until evening and the stairs were difficult to see in the dark.

This vacation property is in the perfect location -immediate access to Poipu Beach , the best location on the South Shore.

We had the pleasure of staying a week at 'The Dolphin' in Poipu. The facilities were fantastic and very comfortable, although there were a few issues with some of the kitchen appliances. Even though the suite is right next door to a bar/restaurant the noise level was usually quieted after 8:00pm making relaxation possible and sitting out on the deck watching the ocean was lovely.
The fact that we had a very short walk to the great beach at Poipu was also greatly appreciated the evening that there was a tsunami we were outside of the area that had to evacuate!
We also appreciated having a sheltered space for our rental car and knowing that no matter how crowded the beach became that we always had a private spot to park. We look forward to returning again in the future and will certainly book again. -

Good location, very clean. Unfortunately, the TV was not working properly and was not fixed or replaced during our stay. The manager was very nice about it but I wish they would have moved quicker on replacing it.

Room O'plenty. Stayed there with 3 families and everyone had plenty of space. Very well appointed...the ONLY thing missing were mixing bowls - had to use the cooking pots...but we adapted! {wink}

We loved the house. It was so close to poipu beach. There was a great ocean view from the 2nd floor lanai and again, the house is close enough to the ocean that we could hear the surf crashing. The house is fully stocked with things that you might need and that make your stay more comfortable. We were very sad to see our vacation come to an end. . .
