Once again, Greg and Sue (Garden Island Properties) provided us with great service and a fantastic condo. The condo was recently remodeled with all new furniture and tile floors - very nicely done. The ground floor location and the close access to the pool and beach is what a Kauai vacation is all about. Kapaa Shores is very close to stores, restaurants and the bike/walking/running path which we used every morning. Speaking of mornings, the sunrises are really "Sun-Sational". Make sure you see every one - it's a great way to start your day! We have already planned our next Holiday in Unit #106 at the Kapaa Shores.

We have been visiting Kauai since 1974 and this is our favorite part of the island. Beautiful ocean and breezes. No bugs (breeze blows them inland) and just enough commercial area so that I don't have to cook. Good restuarants and shopping

This place was the biggest we've ever stayed at. More like a small apartment than a hotel room. Even though they dont come daily to clean the room and make your bed, everything was really nice and clean. They even have some dishes so you can use the little kitchen. And food condiments too (soy sauce, oil, pop corn, salt, etc), which was really nice. We're not messy people, so not having our room cleaned every day wasnt a big deal. Right next to the water too, so you can lay out on the provided lawn chairs and watch the ocean.

Have been vacationing in Kauai for many years but this was our first stay at Kapaa Shore. We stayed a month and have already booked our return visit. As noted by others, this is a great location. The condo was well furnished, and the grounds immaculately maintained. Our only complaints were the smokers who chose not to use the designated smoking area located away from the bldg and the noise from the various tenants above us. At times it was very loud, as if they were moving furniture or practicing gymnastic dismounts from the kitchen counter. Over time we just learned to live with it and joke about it when company visited.
Sue, ar Garden Island Properties, was always very helpful with any concerns or questions we had. Can't wait to go back. -

We have stayed here 5 times now, and will do so again on our next visit. Condo's and grounds are clean, and fairly well maintained. It is close to grocery stores. Pretty sunrise views.

This was our second visit to Kapaa Shore Resort, so we already knew how wonderful it is! This time we didn't stay on the third floor, but on the first and found out how incredibly noisy it can be with the people on the second floor! It didn't matter if they were walking, moving a chair, or taking a shower...we heard everything! The thumping, bumping, sliding of furniture, etc. was so loud, my husband and I literally jumped each time it happened. Because we stayed for the entire month of November, I'm sure we experienced 8-10 different changing of guests in the room above us. Between the staff cleaning out the room for new tenants or the rolling around of the luggage, the noise was unbelievable and very disturbing.
Another problem, ground level guests faced, was you cannot leave the sliding door open/unlocked, nor the windows open at night. We met a couple who was robbed, while they were sleeping in the bedroom! Remember, all resorts on Kauai are experiencing this same problem, but it is something to be aware of .
We love Kapaa Shore Resort and will stay there again, the next time we visit Kauai! The staff is friendly, the grounds ae beautifully maintained, the pool area is beautiful, and the resort is never crowded with tourists! There is no better value with all the amenities you get! No resort is perfect, but Kapaa Shore is pretty darned close to it!!!

A great room on the beach with everything you could want. This complex is well kept and very convenient to travel all of Kauai.I would recommend this to anyone who likes a simple, clean unit with great access to pool, hot tub and bbq. Friendly and nice. We have stayed twice and will go again.

We stayed for a week. The water was so close. Being able to sit at the water's edge and watch the whales play in the distance was delightful. Being within walking distance of super markets and downtown Kapaa was nice to.

We have traveled to Hawaii from the east coast for the last six years. Five of the six trips we stayed in 106 and we love the unit. Great view, comfortable bed and wireless internet.

This was our first trip to Hawaii and it couldn't have been better. The staff were friendly and welcoming and our room was superb. We had a ground floor unit and did not have any problem with noise from above. It was very relaxing and quiet. Kapaa is pretty much located in the middle of the north and south ends of the island on the eastern shore. We would definitely stay here again.

Convenient and reclusive at the same time. Price was right and the ground floor location perfect. Maintenance probems were repaired immediately and there was only one with the ice maker. The Lanai was a plus and the grounds were kept picked up at all times. Plenty of lounge chairs and great view of the ocean and the occasional whale. Parking arrangements were fine. The only drawback was the smoking that took place in the unit above us and one beside us. Fortunately we were there long enough to see the smokers leave.

I would not go there again, I prefer Ohau, much more to see and do.
