Description from the manager
D104 is one of the most unique interior ground floor units at Waipouli Beach Resort. Besides the great location and high end furnishings D104 was blessed with an incredible architectural amenity! Each room in D104 is 8 feet longer than other Waipouli rooms! Gifted with this extra space D104 is the largest floor plan on the property! We are still willing to price this space as a one bedroom for couples and we do not charge extra for this unique amenity. Perfect for groups of 6 or those who love Yoga, D104 is surely to impress!

Waipouli Beach Resort & Spa is centrally located with easy access to North Shore & South/West Shores. Minutes from the Airport & Shopping. Overall property is beautiful, clean & very well maintained. Room D104 was clean and very well equipped, The master bedroom mattress & living room couch is well past the need to replace, very old and clapped out. Wireless internet & Cell phone less than desirable service. Otherwise a great unit for a family with the additional larger beds and convenience of the first floor access to the beach & pool.

United StatesA wonderful first time in Kauai
Left on 04/22/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Three of us stayed & ranged in age from 80 to 7. We all loved it. Beds & pillows-so comfortable. Pool-fantastic. Location-perfect! Halfway btwn North & South ends of the island so any trip is enjoyable. Safeway is right across the street & Safeway card, even from Canada, will work there for discounts. Had to take my daughter to Urgent Care & everyone was so friendly. Doctor there said if we have anymore problems that we could go back there or there are two excellent pediatricians right by the resort located in a one-story white building beside Birkenstock, on left side of street when you head North from resort. Electricity is expensive on Kauai, so we always turned out lights, but when we came home after the cleaning, every light was on & we had to reset every clock as they were all flashing. Dad's room was the one that shared a wall with the lobby. He could hear the staff in the lobby opening and closing the drawers as soon as they started at 7:30am. He was usually up anyways & it wasn't a big issue. I never heard any noise & thought the room was extremely quiet. Only thing in the room that could be improved is the knife set in the butcher block. If there was one good paring knife & one larger knife to cut fruit, meat, etc. that would be great. Before & during the trip, when I had to talk to someone on the phone, they were all great. On our last day there, I went to the Owner's/Management office. The girl in the office was not personable at all. Any question I asked was answered by "yes, no, I don't know". I was the only one in the office for about half an hour & she never spoke to me once, unless I asked a question, & didn't even ask if I was enjoying the resort?? I would hope she was having an off day & that she wasn't like that every day because if she is, she would benefit from some training on customer service. All in all, it was a great vacation & I already have 5 separate families who want to go there now. We will be back & can hardly wait!

We loved this resort and this suite. Close to everyting, pool, barbecues, beach, and lobby. The suite itself was very private, spacious and clean. We loved the All About Kauai book they have in the suite to use. We took it everyday with us and found so many different places to explore. The pool and grounds are beautiful and everyone was so helpful! We loved the sandy bottom hot tubs! We dealt with Josh through Kauai Exclusive Management and he was wonderful. Always there to help us with any questions we had and easy to get a hold of. We will defineately be back to this property. We loved Kauai, it was our first time and it was so beautiful. Like everyone told us it might rain a bit but it never stops you from doing anything.

We rented D104 for the 2nd time in 2 years. We absolutely love Josh with the property management group, the unit itself, and the resort. Everything was amazing!!! The only suggestion would be a better quality mattress on the pull out. We just covered it with a couple extra blank so my son couldn't feel the metal bars/springs. Everything else about our stay was phenominal. It has an amazing pool and the location is the best.

These condos are wonderful. We loved the location as its half way between poipu and princeville so your drive to a beach is never longer than a half hour. It was also really nice to be next to 2 grocery stores!! We grilled at the BBQ's every night.

There were 2 very notable problems with this unit. First, the freezer door was extremely hard to open. In fact the door is starting to come loose from having to pull so hard to open it. Second, the lock on the sliding (hideaway) bathroom door doesn't work.
This property is located on the windward side of Kauai and it was really windy throughout our stay which made going to and using the pool very miserable. -

Great pool, waterslides, sandy beach, hotpools. Across road from Safeway, McDonalds, Foodland, Long's, Polynesian Cultural Centre, and lots of shops. Close to the beach. Patio opens to a hedged in grassy spot for kids to play, right close to the fish pond. Couldn't have asked for a more spacious unit in a better location. So wonderful!!

Left on 12/02/2011 for a stay in November 2011
We just returned from a wonderful 8-day vacation in Kauai. Unit D104 was awesome!. It was supper clean, very large (easily fit our extended family), and had all the essentials.
The unit is conveniently located right next to the lobby, but is very quiet, and has a separate back-porch with small back-yard which is facing the lovely pool area.
Highly recommended! -

,I am so glad I chose this property
Left on 10/22/2011 for a stay in October 2011
We had a wonderful time at Waipouli Beach Resort. It is in a great location and a quality property. The unit we were in was beautiful and spacious. We did not want to leave. I would definitely stay here again and this next time I would spend most of the time at the property and less time sightseeing on Kauai. The pool was very nice and the beach fronting the hotel was gorgeous. The kitchen had granite countertops and top-of-the-line appliances. All the kitchen utensils were there including a coffee maker, waffle iron, baking dishes, good knives, wine glasses, and just everything you would need for every cooking situation. There is a nice ocean front restaurant with reasonable prices. We did not eat there but next time, I would definitely want to try it out. All I all, I was very happy we stayed here and I think it just might be one of the best places to stay on Kauai. On our last day on Kauai, we stayed at a 5 star resort in Poipu. While we were there, we kept commenting on how much better it was at Waipouli Beach Resort. The pools were very similar, but Waipouli was much less crowded and had a much more relaxed atmosphere. We loved this place and we could tell it was well run.

,Great Location, Great Room, Great Resort
Left on 09/28/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Our family of 5 (2 adults, 13, 3, and 1 year old) stayed in unit D104 last week, and I thought it was great. The room was large and very comfortable. It is located just off the lobby, so it isn't a long walk to the car (which is convenient for people who often have to make several trips back there before we drive anywhere). It is also located near the koi pond and the pool. The kids loved to walk over to the pond and watch the fish. They were even able to help feed them in the mornings. The pool was great. I loved the way it was set up... even when there were a lot of people out, you didn't feel like it was crowded because you could still have your own "private" section of the pool. There was also a small "beach area" where the little ones could play in the water. We also had a lot of fun using the water slides. From the beach, you could see the sunrise, which we did several times. You can't really swim at the beach, but there are plenty of swimming beaches located nearby. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, and the next time we find our way back to Kauai, we will definitely look to stay here again.

I would highly recommend D104 to couples with smaller children plus a set of Grandparents. The backdoor leads right out to the pool area.
The kitchen could need a set of good cutting knifes, that would be my only complaint. -

If you want to save money on eating out every meal think about these condos because the condo and kitchens make you want to stay home and cook! So close to the airport and all of the islands conveniences, plus easy to drive either north or south from here.

Our girls week was great, such a beautiful condo and beach. It was pure heaven. Our only complaint was the rude bartender at the Oasis bar and resturant. We would have had all our meals there if not for the rude bartender.

Great vacation, would love to come back next year, although would like a more affordable condo, as it would be just my husband and I, we would not be splitting the cost with another couple. If you have one bedroom condo's I would be interested in the cost.
Thanks

My husband, 2-year old son and I stayed at this condo for 6 nights and we had a fantastic time. It was a very spacious and comfortable place to stay. My son absolutely loved the waterslides. Only complaint was the weather (several rainy days in a row) but otherwise we loved our time in Kauai.

,Beautiful Property
Left on 05/13/2010 for a stay in May 2010
Everything you could want for a fun, comfortable, conveniently located family vacation. The appliances were a bit high tech for me, but with some coaching got the hang of it. Extremely clean. Very quiet! a huge surprise sence it's the first door off the lobby on the bottom floor, close to security and the parking lot. The staff was frienly and helpful. Open the slider and you're at the pool. A 24 hr. Safeway across the street. Central to everything. The pool area was awesome. The beach wasn't crouded, even had a Hawaiian Monk Seal out there on the beach one day. The bathrooms were unreal. The water pressure amazed me, filling a giant jacuzzi tub in no time flat. The washer/dryer and dish washer were so quiet we could turn them on and go to bed. There's way more room in the unit than you'll need. We usually stay in cottages in outlying areas to get the peace we like, but stayed here for our grandkids. We liked it so much, we'd do it again, even if they weren't with us. Quick trip to the airport, but can't here the planes at all from the unit. I had read a bad review of this place, but after our stay can only conclude some people aren't happy with anything. I, a known pessimist, was VERY happy with it. We're lucky we found it, after having a reservation fall through, at the last minute, with a BIG vacation management company on another rental on the north end of the island. Josh was great and saved the day. My only regret is I didn't get to meet him.
