Tampa, FloridaWonderful experience and beautiful view!
Left on 04/27/2013 for a stay in April 2013
This was a perfect location and 'home away from home' for me. I was in Kreller's #151, and it was great. Everything was exactly as stated, and the instructions for checking in and managing things in the Condo were very clear and easy to follow. The place was very clean, the view was beautiful (seriously - steps from the beach), and the bed was super comfy, and there were lots of litttle extras, that were pleasant surprises. I would definitely stay here, or in any of the Kreller's rentals, should I be fortunate enough to come back to Kaua'i.
In addition to the great Condo, and a wonderful experience on the island, all of the communication and coordination prior to arrival was so easy, and Brad was so helpful and responsive, that it made that process go so smoothly. It was a pleasure.
My trip to Kaua'i was for business (while staying at a venue in Lihue), and then I was able to take a few extra days for a little personal time, and I wanted to stay in the Kapaa area. I was delayed in making my arrangements because of some personal family issues, so by the time I was able to schedule it, a lot of the places that I looked at were no longer available. But Brad worked with me, and helped to make it possible to stay in one of their units, and it was just what I wanted - and needed. It was a perfect little respite, from my crazy work schedule, and the location was great, for exploring the area. The 'Blue Book' has lots of suggestions, and if you get a good map, you can easily navigate the island. I rented an SUV through Priceline (thanks to a tip from Brad), and got a great deal. You have to be careful, because it is a pre-pay, and locked in contract - but it was perfect for me, and I was able to get an SUV, for the same price as car rentals.
The entire experience, for me, was great, and I am really so pleased with everything about #151, and the experience that I had there. Thanks to Brad & Wendy! Much appreciate being able to stay in your beautiful Condo. Mahalo!

Left on 04/10/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We had an amazing week at unit 151, the room was extremely clean and well equip with all the necessary appliances to cook our own meals and also being connected on the internet. The view was splendid and could observe Humpback whales breaching at a distance. The snorkeling was great and could swim with Sea turtles every time I got in the water(lucky I guess)and many various types of fish.

I had requested Brad for a quiet unit near the ocean, where I could hear the waves. Brad recommended unit 151. It was perfect for our purposes. This is a relatively quiet area, much like the island itself. In this unit, we could sleep with the glass door open and hear the sound of waves. We could also wake up and see the sunrise from our patio or even the bed! Brad was prompt and very helpful through the whole reservation/stay experience. Mahalo!

My boyfriend and I stayed there for a week and couldn't have had a more perfect time. The condo was very clean and I have never stayed so close to a beach before in my life. It was so relaxing, there's even a pool that is a few short steps from the condo and a nice poolside bar to go with it! I liked that there were also some movies and books in the nightstand and beach towels that we were allowed to borrow. The location was also perfect for us. Overall, a great experience and if I ever decide to return to Kauai (which was so beautiful, I think it's safe to say that I will), I will definitely want to stay at this condo again!

We had a great week-long stay in Kauai. Brad was super responsive to all questions and very helpful with tips and information.
The rental was a great location on the island and central to visiting other areas. We stayed in Rm 131 which was oceanfront and really special. It was fun having the Coconut Mall area right there for coffee, small restaurants and shops and also the Kiluea fish market at the condo. The property itself is also very pretty with beautiful flowers and trees. We had a great experience and can't wait to go back. -

Everything about our visit to Kauai was perfect! We feel so blessed to have found Krellers Getaway on the Flipkey website. Brad went above and beyond to accommodate us. He was extremely courteous and prompt at responding to all emails. He was even kind enough to give us pointers on finding affordable airfare, booking a rental car, recommending activities, and recommending the best places to eat in Kauai. The condo was amazing. The two pictures were taken of the beach right outside the unit. It is a nice beach and it is swimmable, although there is no lifeguard on the beach (this was great for us though because it seemed like our own private beach). The pictures do not do it justice! Finding it from the airport and checking in was super easy (even for those who are terrible with directions). We loved the location of the condo. You are on the East side, so it is a great location for exploring the beautiful island (it is a short drive to many attractions in the North and South). We researched many other hotels and condos before we booked unit 131, and it was definitely the best bargain! We also saved a lot of money by cooking some meals in the condo. There condo has everything you need (a kitchenette, umbrellas, an ice chest, a snorkel, etc.). We did not have any issues with parking. We had such an amazing time! We cannot wait to return and when we do we will definitely stay here again!

North Hollywood, CAPrivate, no-hassel, getaway to the Garden Isle
Left on 05/29/2012 for a stay in May 2012
I feel sooo very fortunate that I found Kreller's on Tripadvisor. This was my first time renting an actual vacation condo as opposed to a hotel room, so I was a bit nervous. The booking process was easy and Brad was very quick and responsive.
Kapaa is so centrally located, just minutes from the airport. Unit 131 was clean and really cute. We loved being on the first floor, stepping out onto the lanai for morning coffee, pineapple, etc., and then stepping to the beach. This beach is not one for swimming in, as most of the guidebooks mention. But there are plenty of other beaches on the island to discover. But to hear the waves all night and to see them in the morning light - a dream come true. Saw the sunrise some mornings, right outside. Having access to the pool and hot tub was also nice. It just felt very private, with no one bothering us from the hotel, and very little noise, if any, from any other units above or beside. It felt like it was only us.
The unit was exactly as pictured and promised. The kitchen items made it easy to make breakfast or dinner some nights and save money instead of doing restaurants - major grocery stores are very close. The TV looked great, but I didn't partake this trip -- too busy exploring the island. The bathroom was nice and large, with cozy, large, expensive towels - not the itchy/scratchy kind you get in most hotels. It's a well-appointed unit that's semi-masculine, not frilly. This place is a good bargain and I didn't feel taken advantage of at all. Parking wasn't always guaranteed in the official lot, but there were plenty of spaces on the street leading to the Islander complex each night. There is only one key to the unit, which may be a problem for certain larger groups staying in the unit, but there's also the lockbox for access.
A great way to get to see Kauai for the first time.Response from Brad Kreller - 05/29/2012

Mahalo for your wonderful review.
I do apologize for you having only one key. Normally we do provide 2.
I will make sure the missing one is replaced and the lock barrel rekeyed.
We trust you had a fabulous time on the mystical and magical island of Kauai and will stay with us again sometime.

SeattleComfortable Getaway on Kauai
Left on 05/28/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We rented this condo for a 10-day vacation on Kauai in May 2012. The condo is actually a standard-like hotel room to which a sink and counter has been added. This is the perfect very cost-effective accomodation if you do not plan to cook every night of your stay due to the absence of a kitchen. Otherwise, the location is great (on the beach), clean, great service by the owner, and right by Kapaa's services, which is very neat.

This place is the real thing -- I thought the reviews could not possibly be real--but they are--beautiful clean room, wifi, ocean right there, great pool, great price -- very wonderful! Close to everything. (The only reason I did not recommend this to "luxury-minded travelers" is that I don't think it qualifies as "luxury" per se -- but is very very nice, esp. for the price!)

This is a lovely beach front condo in a very well kept complex. It is well equipped and very comfortable . The best part is listening to the waves lulling you to sleep at night, and the quick stroll right from the lanai to the comfy chaise right on the beach. Right next door, an easy walk down the beach path, is a wonderful restaurant using local ingredients and fresh local caught delicious fish, The Hukilau Lanai.

We were there at a time when there was a disaster declared by the Governor due to rain. We got to see a waterspout from the lawn seaside. There was probably 3" of water on the sidewalks, and 6-8" in the parking lot. There was a pond for maybe a mile on the main highway. Wet! We did get some mostly rainfree days, and enjoyed some of the fine Hawaiian tourist activities. Rented bikes and rode on the long beachfront trail, kayaked on the nearby river, rented a car and drove as far as possible both directions. Kaua'i is an amazing place.
Now about the rental: It was fine. Strategic location on the ground floor, looking out to the ocean, easy to walk out for a better view, or sit on the lounge chairs provided. All the amenities were provided. We had no real complaints, the place was clean when we got there, and there was no housekeeping (which we had known), so we ranked service average. It's easy to track in sand, next time we would be much more careful about that.
The grounds are beautiful, well maintained, staff pleasant. We wouldn't change anything but the weather.Response from Brad Kreller - 03/10/2012
Owner
mahalo for reviewing your stay. We see that you rated our service average as we do not provide daily maid service. As you knew this when you booked we are at a loss to understand. We actually do provide excellent service in regard to the amenities and overall condition of our condo by way of an emergency phone number you can call for anything that is missing from beach towels to coffee filters. As you will see from other reviews our units 131 and 151 are fully equipped down to the last detail including of course WiFi.
If you require daily maid service (housekeeping) may we suggest that next time you book with the hotel, Aston Resorts, who provide this. The hotel rates are however approximately 75% higher than ours.

We spent a week in unit 345 and it's better than the pictures. The room was perfect for two people and even though the kitchen is small it's very well appointed with everything for light cooking. It was nice to have the extra fridge for all our POG! The bed was the best (I want one at home) and the linens were very soft. There is nothing better than a good nights sleep in paradise. The pool is just a stones throw from the room taking but a minute to walk to a from the pool and hot tub and the area was very well maintained. The view from the balcony was beautiful and eating our breakfast outside every morning was a great way to start the day. I would and will highly recommend this unit to couples.

Left on 01/30/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We stayed at 323 for 10 days in Jan /2012. It was one of those dream vacations right on the beach. The location is perfect. We did the tourist things for the first 4 days but could hardly wait to drop off the car so we could just enjoy being at our condo. The grounds, pool and beach were just what we wanted. Every morning grabbing a coffee and watching the the red sunrise, or watching the whales breach, amazing. We fell in love with Kapaa and the walk to town. Loved happy hour at the pool, everyone so friendly. Only 2 complaints, the tv needs to be upgraded(had to wait for it to warm up) and no wifi in room. Come on , this is 2012. But everything else was perfect and we can hardly wait to come back to Kauai, our fav island. If you're looking for peace and serenity because your life is hectic, this is the place to come. Thanks Brad for your almost instant replies. We love Islander on the Beach. We'll contact you next time we return to 'Bali Hai'! Maybe get a 1 bedroom next time.

What a pleasure to spend more than two weeks in 323. Great to be there for the magnificent sunrises every morning, not to mention the extra window to to take in even more of the incredible ocean view. Dinner on your private lanai is a great way to wind up the day. The location on the island is also good in that it is very central to both the North coast and the Southern - Southwest areas of the island. This was my 2nd time in 13 months staying here and I'm planning another trip soon. Thanks Brad & Wendy!

This was our second year staying in the Kreller's unit 319, with a lovely view of the ocean from the balcony. The addition of wireless internet and a new California King bed made the unit even more desirable this year. We like the fact that it is easy to get anywhere on Kauai from the Kapaa location. This year, when we found a couple of small things that required the owner's attention, they were taken care of very quickly by a friendly and helpful local resident. We highly recommend both Kauai and the Krellers!

The condo and it's location is centrally located when wanting to visit one side of the island to the other. The condo has everything your heart desires, a little slice of heaven on earth! The beach is beautiful and nothing is better than waking up in the morning with a magnificent sunrise that you can view from your bed! From our first communication with Brad to our final goodbyes to all our new acquaintances, this truly is a place you want to stay at on the Garden Island! The location was great, very central, and the oceanfront location provided an amazing view. The condo was very close to the pool and Bar-B-Que - very convenient! The condo was very clean - absolutely no bugs!!!
Go to Lythcote Beach Park a couple miles up the road for swimming.
On the downside:
The ocean is not safe for swimming and the beach was very difficult to walk - that was a real bummer.
The aC did not work most of the trip and it was really hot for alaskans. Mr. Kreller assured us the aC unit was being replaced within the next few months.Response from Brad Kreller - 09/20/2011

Mahalo for your review ....Since this review was posted a new air conditioner has been installed. In regard to swimming . There is a sign posted by the county warning people about ocean currents, however , this is a standard warning that is posted in most places where there is no life guard on duty. We ,my wife and I, spend 4 months a year at the Islander on the Beach and she swims there most every day. On any given day you may see several regular guests going for there morning swim in the ocean.

Vancouver...A little slice of heaven!
Left on 07/09/2010 for a stay in June 2010
I had recently made some changes in my life and I needed a place to escape the big city and reflect on my past, present and future. I was in need of a recharge!
Having been to numerous all-Inclusive Resorts in many tropical locations throughout the world, I knew these were going to be filled with noisy drunk people, screaming children and overly loud music. So I opted for a private, quiet rental in Hawaii. I booked my week with Beverly and Bob at #131 "islander on the beach", Kauai, Hawaii.
You can quote me on this...It was a little slice of heaven!!! It easily surpassed all my expectations!
The room was modern and elegantly designed & decorated and a cool retreat from the warm & sunny beach. The beach was literally at my doorstep and the surf lulled me to sleep each night. The bathroom was gorgeous and clean, with a ton of counter space and giant mirrors, which is important to a gal like me, I am a Make Up artist by profession! ;)
I enjoyed the fact that when I wanted to read, write, sleep, do yoga or just simply be alone in this tropical paradise, I could easily do so with no interruptions. And on the flip-side, when I wanted to have a chat with some friendly people, I could do that at in the common areas.
I would highly recommend renting this condo (#131), but get in line...I'm already booking a week with my Boyfriend in November!! Beverly and Bob are an absolute dream to interact with and I know you'll enjoy them as much as I have.
