The condo is comfy and in an excellent location. John was very flexible with our needs. I would definitely recommend renting this vacation property to any couple! Sunrises every morning from bed or the lanai!

Orinda, CaliforniaTerrific Value and Location

John was very helpful, friendly and professional. The room has everything you need. The bed is comfortable and we could watch the sun rise from bed to the sound of the crashing waves outside. We kept the door open 24/7 and the ocean breeze was wonderful. We had good food and amazing fresh lemon lime juice in the Coconut Market at the Fish Hut. 5 minutes down the road is the Hemingway Cafe which has fantastic breakfast and lunch. Also 2 minutes up the road is Papaya's Natural Food Market which has organic and local goods such as food and beauty products. We really enjoyed going to local farmers' markets almost everyday and eating amazing fruits, vegetables, jellies and juices. We even bought some wonderful flowers for our room during our stay. Stop for a fresh coconut they are delicious. Down the path from the condo is the Hukilau Lanai which has a nice restaurant with live music, amazing food and wonderful drinks. Trees is also a nice lounge with good food within walking distance also with live music. The poolside bar has an excellent bartender who knows how to make a mean piña colada. It doesn't get much better than 3rd floor beach-front property; with warm water, beautiful sunrise, it's an ideal location to explore Kauai.

We stayed here a second time and loved it again. There is air conditioning but all you need to do is open up the door to get an ocean breeze right off the water. Along with the breeze you can listen to the waves crashing on the beach. Every morning people are out on the beach to watch the sun rise, but we could see it from our lanai as we drank our coffee. The bed is very comfortable and the room is small but laid out nicely. The one thing the kitchen could really use is a toaster, though.
The location seemed perfect, right about in the middle of the Princeville/Hanelai area and Poipu. The Coconut Marketplace is close by and serves up some delicious lunches, dinners and snacks.
We had good contact with John and Jill. When we mentioned a couple of minor problems John was very pleasant about it and said that our issues would bè addressed right away.
This is a great value for the money and we plan to stay here again in the future. -

Portland, ORCompletely perfect
Left on 01/07/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We stayed for a week at John's Oceanfront suite, and honestly, it couldn't have been more perfect. The view truly is amazing. Waking each morning to the sound of the ocean just off your balcony was everything we wanted. As far as location is concerned, it's pretty central to most everything you'd want to do in Kauaii. The nearby shopping centers in Kapaa provide anything you need, often with just a short walk. Close proximity to the pool and hot tub was a definite plus. We will absolutely be back, and look forward to another week of perfect.

Kalama, WAEverything we hoped for
Left on 07/22/2011 for a stay in July 2011
This condo unit is absolutely perfect for a beach vacation. The view is unbelievable! A "busy" day on the beach in front of the unit was 4 people, but generally only 1-2 and often we had the beach to ourselves. The third floor location made it private as well as quiet (except for the peaceful sound of the waves). If you want to be social, the pool/hot tub/bar area was always active and friendly. John (owner) was super in terms of communication and suggestions. I would have given 5 stars across the board except the bed isn't as comfortable as ours back home. But that is really the only shortfall we can think of for this rental. We cannot wait to go back.

I was surprised at how spectacular this area was. The water was great, the people nice, and John -- the guy that helped get us settled -- was really nice and knew a ton about the island. Well worth the price and trip, which was a long one for us coming from the east coast.
