This room is perfect to come "home" to after busy days on the island! The view is absolutely perfect with the beach and gentle breezes. It is exceptionally clean, and there's little touches that help make it a home away from home. We are grateful that we were able to stay here! Thank you so much!

Beautiful room. Great location. Extremely clean. Very nice staff. Beautifully decorated. Quiet. Loved it.
The hotel has a problem though, there is not enough parking for guests. The number of rooms exceeds the amount of parking spaces. Thankfully the hotel next door was flexible with parking and I did not get towed. -

Left on 08/03/2012 for a stay in July 2012
This rental in this setting is amazing. Our best Hawaii vacation (covers 25 years plus) by far. Only improvements we could think of would be a fridge with a freezer compartment and fresh bed linen provided once a week. These are pretty minor things, and we would not hesitate to rent this unit again.
Thank you!!! -

Aloha, thanks for sharing your wonderful condo with us. We had a wonderful week on Kauai with lots of things to do. And we enjoyed coming back to "our" home every evening.

My husband and I stayed in the hotel portion of Islander on the Beach 2 years ago and had a wonderful time so we thought we would go back this year. I began to search through the privately owned condos and was drawn to this one because of the beachfront location. The view was simply beautiful. All of my transactions with Josie were via email, she always responded promptly, and I appreciated that she took credit cards and I could pay half up front with the other half due later. If you like the feel of a fancy resort with a huge swimming pool (or two or three) then this place is not for you. But if you prefer a peaceful (and romantic!) Hawaii retreat with nicely kept grounds, then we would highly recommend this condo. The room is simple, clean (although there is a musty smell before you get the a/C cranking -- much to be expected in humid Kauai), and perfectly located. We spent many hours out on the balcony talking and feeling the ocean breeze! I highly recommend this place. The four stars are given simply because it is not fancy, but it is definitely a home away from home!

Oakland, CAGreat location, nice property, great ocean view
Left on 05/18/2011 for a stay in May 2011
We stayed here for 3 nights. It poured almost all day every day. Bummer. It was great being on the 2nd floor with a clear ocean view, but people not looking right into your windows. You can't swim at the beach, but it'd be nice to sit at. The pool isn't too big, but it's nice. We all sat in the rain in the hot tub and had a great time. The full bar at the pool is really nice, we loved the bar tender. The grounds are beautiful and the unit is very new looking and hip. We stayed 3 nights in Princeville, which was great for accessing the North, but being here in Kapa'a made getting to the South and West much easier. There are a lot of great places to eat within a few minute drive. This was a clean, crisp, fun, friendly place to stay. We'd for sure return.

#251 is perfect and Wei & Josie are wonderful to know! The serene oceanfront location cannot be beat for any price. The unit is clean and nicely furnished. Dishes, glasses, cups & cutlery are provided. There are plenty of soft fluffy resort-quality towels; 2 big beach towels are provided. With the frequent breezes, I never had to use the air conditioner. Owners were 150% responsive when I had questions, such as where's the broom (kept in the corner behind the drapes). When the stereo didn't seem to work, they immediately provided a replacement. I had spoken with Josie many times but never met her over the years. This time I asked if we could get together while I was in town and she was happy to. Wei & Josie met me at Dolpins in Hanalei for lunch and then they showed me their favorite bakery and treated me to awesome goodies. They are a very kind, loving, and caring couple. Later in the week, Josie & I met at the St. Regis in Princeville for lunch. Wei wasn't able to join us. Josie is a wonderful tour guide; she showed me Bali Hai, Hanelei Bay, and Princeville up close & personal, areas that I'd only driven past before. I give this condotel my highest recommendation and am planning my next trip to Wei and Josie's Islander on the Beach #251. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in the Islands.

Quaint, quiet, peaceful serenity...this place was amazing and had everything we needed. We enjoyed spending a week in Kauai for our honeymoon. Kapaa is the perfect town to stay in because it is halfway between each side of the island. We loved leaving the patio door cracked at night so we could fall asleep to the ocean. I highly recommend this place.

We love your condo on the beach. It is perfectly sized, had all of the things we needed and we located in the most perfect place, oceanfront and right next to the pool! The BBQ grills at the pool and the pic nic tables were a bonus! We were able to shop at safeway and grill tri tip, chicken and burgers! We met the nicest couple at the pool who will be our future traveling companions! We look forward to coming again soon. Check in and out was so convenient! Thank you so much Joise!!!
