These private vacation rental units are located in Waipouli, just ten minutes from the Lihue Airport, five minutes to Kapa'a town; Islander on the Beach is set on six acres of oceanfront property with lushly landscaped gardens.
All Units air conditioned and non-smoking studios. The oceanfront units have direct sunrise and breathtaking ocean views. Cable TV, electronic safe, mini- kitchenette including small fridge, microwave, toaster/oven, coffee maker, cutlery and basic cookware and dishes. We really enjoyed our time at Island on the Beach #359. The Room had everything you needed. The pool even had an ocean view along with our lanai! My only concern was how the actual resort made you feel like they didn't want to deal with you and you were on your own since it was a privately owned room. We didn't have a big problem with that since our room had everything we needed anyway. It was a great stay for us with a great location. Thanks again!

Mahalo to the RE/MAX-Team. We had a wonderful stay in that condo. Easy booking process, clean and well maintained unit (and hotel/garden), helpful hotel-frontdesk, free Wifi-access in the lobby, ...). The beach at this and the nearby hotels is good for a relaxed time and does not force you to travel arround every day. We loved to sit on the lanai for breakfast and in the evenings, enjoying the great view, the overall atmosphere and the "sound" from the nearby ocean. Bottom line: Great value for the money and highly recommended.

During our stay there was a mandatory tsunami warning evacuation. I so appreciated that our ReMax representative left me a voicemail to make sure I knew about it, as well as where to go. She even left her cell number in case I needed to call her back with questions. The whole stay was amazing, but that extra touch really made me glad.

This was a great room, 3rd/top floor and nice view of the ocean. Just listening to the ocean was great. This was a great spot with a great breakfast spot right here to walk to easily. The hukilau restaurant is very nice and next door. Great pool and pool bar. Really nice spot.

Had a great time here mid-sep after the summer crowds. Accommodation was exactly what my fiancee and I needed, a great location with an ocean view, and also positioned well mid-way up the east coast, making the south and north both accessible.

On a budget? Not interested in paying $200 a night? This place is perfect. Best kept secret on the island. The ONLY downside to the privately owned rooms (like this one) are that the front office staff can't/won't help you much with things like change and movie rentals. But hey...they aren't important things when in paradise.

In general quite satisfactory, and met the advertised conditions. However, a few comments for the owner:
I found the beds too hard. A foam mattress topper might help.
If the microwave could be elevated the rather small kitchen area would be more workable.
The lockbox was difficult to operate. A door lock with a keypad would be much better. -

Plantation-like feel, spotless grounds, miss it already and will be back for sure. Mattress could have been a bit more firm but that is personal preference. Property management process was seamless and very accommodating. Thank you for everything.

We had a wonderful time at the Islander... Nice little condo unit, clean, everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The view from our deck was superb and hearing the waves each night lulled us to sleep. The location was great, right on the beach, close to town, convenient to the airport. Will definitely consider staying here again!
