Carefree Kapoho,
Warm loving cedar home with it's own private geothermal pond and one block from the ocean...partial ocean views, Champagne Pond and the ocean, a few minutes walk. Our home's geothermal pond is deep in the middle and just fun for relaxing there. We are in the gated community, and walking, biking, going to the ocean are wonderful times here. Our home with three bedrooms are for couples, families or double families with futons available. Kapoho is a country area only for those who love the calmer, quieter side of life. We welcome you to Kapoho!

It is a gated community and private, with trees between our neighbors; Champagne Pond and the ocean are within four minute walk. Walking, swimming, snorkeling, hiking are all available near our home. Local hiking to Green Lake and other areas, 45 minutes to Kilauea Volcano and all it sites, 20 minutes to Kalapana with the Pu'uo vent active for 30 years, must check with the Hawaii National Park Rangers on the hikes in. Local farmers' market on Sundays, Pahoa Village is quaint local life, with very good Mexican, Thai and NY pizza restaurants (and more). Akaka Falls & Honomu town are wonderful up Hamakua coast, the observatories are up Mauna Kea (mountain), the I'imiloa Astronomy Center has a full planetarium, is interactive, in Hilo, and of course all the local festivals, hula and others are events to enjoy.

Taxes are Hawaii GE and TA taxes. Cleaning fee of $60.00 only for those who stay three or four days, otherwise included in the rate. A minimum deposit is needed to hold the dates. Additional guests above the first four guests who are 12 years or older, are $10 per day. Children under 12 are free.

The house is in the perfect spot to enjoy the wonderful Champaign Pond, located a short 5 minute walk away. This location allows you to easily enjoy all that the Kapoho area has to offer, geothermal heated ponds, tidepools for snorkeling and the ocean right down the street. The house has beautiful grounds, lushly landscaped and has an incredible view from the deck. It even has its own natural hot pond to splash around in. Paula, the owner is one of the most accommodating people I've ever met. She tries to make sure that everything goes smoothly. We really enjoyed our stay.
