We have just returned from our best vacation ever and its all due to renting your condo. We had both daughters and both son in laws and the two small grandchildren, ages two and four, for the entire week and everyone absolutely loved the condo. The ground floor was perfect for the kids to walk right out and play, the parking was perfect just a few steps from the door, both pools were just outside our doors, the lagoons were great (daughter and son in law actually snorkeled with a sea turtle), and Costco/Safeway was very convenient. We hardly left the resort!! It was so relaxing and private and as stated by several in our group--"the best vacation ever!" The condo was just as advertised. Thanks so much for having us and I'm sure we will return...five star rating for awesomeness!!

This unit was a gem!! The decor was beautiful and all of the modern appliances were great. Plenty of room for our family. We enjoyed sitting out on the leni and listening to the sounds of the waterfall. The ground floor access was great to both pools and garage. I believe it's the best location on the property.
Can't wait to visit again. -

The location of the condo is the best of all the units. We required a low floor as my father in law suffers from claustrophobia and will not take an elevator. The ground floor condo also has a small private garden which was perfect for relaxing while listening to the waterfall garden feature.
The villa itself has everything you would need for a home away from home. We were a party of five - two grandparents, my husband, son and me. The master bedroom and the room with two single beds have direct access to the patio / garden. We were never worried about our son going into the garden in his own as it is mostly enclosed. There are three bathrooms, two with showers and bath and one with just a shower. There is plenty of storage space throughout the unit.Â
Another luxury of this particular unit is the assigned parking space is located next to a private entrance. This was great for bringing in groceries and carrying a sleeping child after a late night out.
The grounds of the Ko Olina are lush and immaculate. The pools were great and while the workout room was a bit lacking in terms of equipment, I never had to wait for a machine. We also used the barbecue equipment which was a wonderful meal in.
Our stay was for two weeks and the first 10 days were relatively quiet. It started to get busier the last few days, but that was because most american schools had broken up for Christmas break.Â
The restaurant options in the area are limited. We never got to eat at Roy's as it had a fire a few days after we arrived. We ate at the Marriott a couple of times, which was nice. We also did a character breakfast at aulani, which was one of the worst Disney breakfasts we have ever had. I think we paid about $40 per person and it was awful.
The next time we go to the island we will be heading to Maui and Big Island. However, if we do find ourselves on Oahu again, we would hope to stay in his wonderful villa.Response from Doug & Stephanie - 03/28/2012

One could be leery of an owner's description of its rental especially when they tell you it is the best unit in the whole development. Well, it is true!
Everything advertised was delivered. The location was phenomenal and the staff provided excellent service. It was so kid friendly, it even have plug covers! I come from the hotel industry and therefore my standards are pretty high. We feel we couldn't have done better.
If you are looking for a full service property, this isn't it. No food outlets other than a pool bar that only serves drinks. But for us, this only made the vacation better!Response from Doug & Stephanie - 03/28/2012

Your villa is everything we hoped it would be and more. Being on the ground floor offered us the opportunity to have access to all the beautiful hi flora and fauna, a lawn area where we could play bocce (thanks for having it in the closet), and the lanai where we could sit and have coffee or cocktails and enjoy the soothing pond with it's beautiful koi. We look forward to a return visit. The only negative was that the apec conference was being held at the Marriott Hotel. We would have appreciated advanced notice that it was being held and we would have changed our dates.

Don't miss the opportunity to stay in this well appointed, comfortable condo. It has the best location in the complex, and the owner, Doug, is a delight to work with.

With two friends I spent a week in a fabulous condo at Ko Olina. The home we stayed in was "off the chart great!" The amenities ie kitchen, lanai, furniture, ect. were of the highest quality. All of us felt like we were truly welcomed guests in someone's home. From the gym, to the many swimming pools, to the natural beauty of the island and the ocean, we felt little need to travel anywhere else and spent most of our time in the general area of the condo. What I truly enjoyed most about my stay was for the first time in my life having a vacation where I rested and came home feeling truly refreshed. What I liked least was having to leave. I am making plans to return soon.

We had a great time at this resort. The unit itself had a great location right on the ground floor with our own lanai looking out to a small decorative pool and waterfall; a great spot to relax while feeling like you were in your own private grounds. The unit was very new and spacious with the front door opening almost directly onto the one swimming pool. The covered parking spot was right outside the back door which was extremely convenient for gettings luggage etceteras in and out of the unit.
We especially enjoyed playing in either of the two swimming pools, and always had the ocean within very easy access whenever we wanted a change of pace. The ocean lagoon also had quite good snorkelling to see a decent variety of interesting fish. We were very pleased with the fact that it never felt very busy in either the pools or the ocean beach area. There was also a great walking trail that connected all four lagoons. Very good for jogging in the mornings, although we also made use of the very well appointed exercise room a number of times.
Overall, we had a great time there with no complaints about anything at the resort. Very reasonable price given the accommodations and amenities.
Hope to return.
