Description from owner

Description

Ara Durak is part of a small project consisting of two detached villas surrounded by a spacious garden.

Between the villa's, which are relative to each other are located at different heights, there is a private pool. Each villa has four apartments. Ara Durak is situated on the ground (garden)floor.

The house is in Kargicak - Alanya, a small village where time seems to have stood still and where you can enjoy the real Turkish (rural) life. Kargicak is also called the "villa district of Alanya", but in the immediate vicinity you will not notice it. The house is surrounded by nature and is situated at the foot of the majestic Taurus Mountains. From the house, the garden and from the pool as well you have a magnificent view over the Mediterranean, the bay of Alanya and the impressive mountain scenery.

Directly from the house you can go in the mountains or to the beach which is 4 km away. Here you will also find some shops, bars and restaurants.

At 400 meters from the house you will find a little shop for groceries: you can get there fresh bread, cheese, eggs, soda, etc.

In Mahmutlar, about 6 km away, you can go to the (larger) supermarkets and shops. Every week there is a large regional market. The center of the cosmopolitan and lively city of Alanya is around 15 kilometers away. Besides sun, sea, beach and nature, the Turkish Riviera gives you an almost inexhaustible wealth of cultural and historical discoveries include the time of the ancient Greeks, Romans, and Seldjuken from the Ottoman Empire.

The neighborhood

Alanya is one of the most famous seaside resorts on the Turkish Riviera.

The bustling town with an intense nightlife is known for its beautiful beaches, the castle with the famous Red Tower at the harbor and the charming position among the citrus and banana plantations.

Alanya is situated on an imposing rock built right in between the two beaches (the Cleopatra Beach and Eastern Beach). On the rock sits the 13th-century castle of the Seljuks, one of the most beautiful sights in the area of the Mediterranean. The castle is quite well preserved and has kilometers of walls and 150 towers. The impressive castle has notable shipyards and the Kizil Rule (Red Tower, an octagonal tower 33 m high corner tower that served as the fortress, built in 1225-1227).

It is a beautiful resort with many restaurants, hotels and cafes along the beaches. In the center there are plenty of 'Turkish' shops in the boutiques along the coastal road for souvenirs, leather goods, jewelry, handbags and painted gourds, a symbol of the region. The Dimcayi is a river near Alanya. Here you can enjoy a picnic in one of the treehouses of the many restaurants, or take a refreshing dip in the river.

Near the Dim river you can see a beautiful cave with stalagmites and stalactites. Most cruises sail to the peninsula of Alanya along the old shipyard, the pirates, phosphorus and the "cave of love" and subsequently along the coast towards the town Incekum.

If you are lucky, you'll definitely see dolphins. The river Dimcayi, just six kilometers from the center of Alanya, rises in the Taurus Mountains and flows after 60 km into the Mediterranean Sea. The river is not only cool in the winter, but also guarantees a refreshing dip on hot summer days. On the shores and in the water are several picnic areas. Many restaurants are situated in the water, where chairs and tables are put down. At about 12.5 miles off the river-delta is a great rafting trail.
