BrisbaneA wonderfully welcoming family house.
Left on 04/17/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We had great service from our very first contact. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful with nothing being too much trouble. The "villa" was really a wonderful little house which was really well appointed. The kitchen was well stocked and everything we needed, including washing machine and dryer was provided. I stayed with 3 children under 12 and the range of games and videos meant they were happier to stay inside than venture into the rainy outdoors.
The birds were incredible and were a highlight from the stay. Wonderful hosts and a very lovely clean, home away from home. Would love to return for another holiday. -

A warm, friendly welcome awaited us at this lovely villa, on the outskirts of Katoomba. The villa is actually a two bedroom, spacious granny flat attached to the back of the house, it was excellently fitted out with every amenity that you could have wanted. Our hosts were really welcoming, but once we settled in you did not know that you were sharing the property with them, but you had the reassurance they were only a few steps away. They even provided us with seed to feed the beautiful sulphur crested cockatoos and parrots that visited the garden every morning and evening. Thank you both for helping to make our first (but not our last) holiday in the Blue Mountains so enjoyable.

SydneyMagical and sooo relaxing!
Left on 10/30/2012 for a stay in October 2012
The beautiful 2-bedroom self contained Crimson cottage is a real Gem, conveniently located, close distance to the Three Sisters lookout and the main street of Katoomba yet due to the private location it is very tranquil. The villa has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, dining room and laundry facilities. In the lounge there is a flat screen TV, DVD and Video along with a selection of Dvds, videos, books, magazines and games, very cosy and so clean, Katoomba was very cold when we stayed so the electric blankets and also all the heating in the cottage was fantastic. No linen is required, everything is supplied. The cottage's BBQ area was great and also the lovely Crimson Rosellas that were just outside our cottage - just fantastic! I would say this lovely cottage would be great for family, friends or a romantic getaway as it caters for everyone!
I can honestly say that thanks to David's warm welcoming nature and extensive knowledge of the area, I saw the most beautiful lookouts and experienced Katoomba like never before, and after the long walks arriving back at such a pleasurable cottage - priceless! I have never slept better in my life. I'm looking forward to my next stay- highly recommended -Thank you David so much!

SydneyA lovely place to stay
Left on 10/14/2012 for a stay in October 2012
This is a really lovely little two bedroom semi near to the centre of Katoomba, but far enough away to be quiet and private. The villa is a good size, with everything that you could possibly need (full kitchen, extra blankets, good heating, laundry, etc). The beds and sofas are very comfortable, the TV is big, and it's a great place to relax after a long day of walking or sightseeing.
One of the best things about the place is the friendly and helpful owner, David, who is very informative and quick to offer assistance.
The villa is away from the centre of town and is exceptionally quiet, but it's still only a short walk to the main street (we didn't have a car and it was no problem).
I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a nice quiet time in the great outdoors, and to relax in comfort at the end of the day. -

Left on 09/22/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Crimson Villa is a great find! It is a lovely, quaint, clean, well-appointed little house in the leafy suburbs of Katomba. David and Marilyn are friendly, knowledgeable hosts, without being at all intrusive. The house itself has a well-equipped kitchen and laundry, with comfortable main bed.
There is a flat-screen tv in the lounge, along with a dvd and video player. There is a good collection of dvds, videos, and books in the lounge, too. And, importantly, the heating is excellent! -

We enjoyed the homely, welcoming atmosphere of Crimson Villa. It has a well equipped kitchen, very useful laundry room, comfortable beds with thoughtful touches such as matching cushions and covers. It is wonderfully quiet.

60745Delightful, well-appointed, 2-bedroom cottage
Left on 01/18/2012 for a stay in December 2011
Delightful, well-appointed, conveniently located, 2-bedroom cottage in back of the owner’s house. During our stay Marilyn was at home (David was apparently working that week); she is a manager at the tourist information department at Blue Mountain National Park. Needless to say, she offered a wealth of incredibly useful information and was a pleasure to interact with. Also, the owners offered to share their own internet connection. The only reason not to give 5 stars is that the kitchen was under-equipped for food preparation for a family of 4. We had an experience whereby the BBQ ran out of gas and the oven was not up to the task of cooking for 4. Other than that, we would heartily recommend this cottage as good value for money in Katoomba.

Owner
Thanks for the great feedback Larry, nice to have Americans visiting again. Lucky you, having my lovely wife looking after you all while I was absent. Sorry about the gas but bottles do run out from time to time, luckily as resident managers we are at the ready to assist at gas changeover times if needed. Yes the villa kitchen is compact as the pictures show, but it is well appointed with a double sink and Simpson Stove with four hot plates, oven and grill with two metres of preparation bench, a microwave, a full size fridge/freezer and food pantry, floor to bench cupboards plus ceiling to bench cupboards on the non cooking side - not Master-Chef , but idealy suited to the tariff and our main customer base. Pleased you had an enjoyable stay and we hope your next stop over in Melbourne was just as good to complete your Australian expedition.
Kind regards,
David.

Our family loved staying at the Crimson Villa. Such a comfortable and private place to stay. Basically renting a little home. We used the grill a few times which was very nice. "Exotic" birds in the yard every day.
Electric blankets equipped on all the beds in case it's cold. David is very helpful. He and his family go out of their way to make a comfortable stay. -

Delighted Italians
Asciano, ItalyCrimson Villa the perfect stay: tranquil, comfortable, spacious
Left on 01/11/2011 for a stay in December 2010
Recently we visited australia from Italy. The highlight of our australian holiday was a stay in Crimson Villa at Katoomba in the Blue Mountains.
What absolutely perfect lodgings we had. The Crimson Villa was a home away from home with every comfort we needed without being over the top. It was very clean and modern and not tired and old like a lot of properties I looked at in the area. Crimson Villa is very private with a beautiful garden to look out on and the variety of bird life was a revelation, Crimson Rozellas, White and Black Cockatoos, King Parrots, Magpies and Kurrawongs all came to visit me in the garden at one time or another. One day just on evening-time I even had a friendly "Kookaburra" come and sit on my chair whilst I cooked dinner on the BBQ. The Villa was very modern, clean and tidy and the manager was extremely friendly and helpful in suggesting activities and walks for us in the national park. I will certainly recommend Crimson Villa to my friends. -

Sydney, NSWIt felt like home away from home except it was so peaceful!
Left on 01/09/2011 for a stay in October 2010
Crimson Villa is at the back of a home in a very quiet part of Katoomba. It was the perfect setting for what we were looking for. The family who manage the Villa were extremely helpful in offering advice on what to do during the days and where to eat in the evening though the kitchen is very well equipped and the Villa so comfortable, spending a night in was a welcomed option.

Left on 01/01/2011 for a stay in December 2010
I had my inlaw parents visiting from overseas, obviously living in Sydney I decided to show them the Blue Mountains. We had a great stay at the crimson villa in Katoomba. We really liked the personal touch, chocolates made us feel welcome.
David the owner is very nice and helpfull. Although not the purpose of our stay, I can say that the place is great for a family get away having its own barbecue etc. Or a relaxing rest in a quit place away from the city.
We will most likely visit this property again when we have to show overseas visitors the Blue Mountains. Ronald -

My husband and I recently booked a weekend in the Crimson villa. We had a friend coming from the UK and wanted a self serviced apartment rather than a b&b; or hotel and this more than lived up to our expectations. It was away from the city centre but not too far. It was a lot bigger than we expected but it was so cozy, you felt completely at home. The owners were just lovely and helpful and booked us at an Indian Restaurant which was fantastic and only a few minutes walk from the villa. Would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Left on 10/18/2010 for a stay in October 2007
We stayed on a cold weekend and to our great delight, Crimson Villa has insulation so it was incredibly warm and cosy. It is roomy, exceptionally clean, child friendly and David the perfect host. He was more than welcoming, even lending us a raincoat. It is only a few minutes drive to Katoomba so very centrally located. I would more than recommend this place.

Left on 09/22/2010 for a stay in July 2010
My husband and I stayed in Crimson Villa for 1 night in July while visiting the Blue Mountains and Jenolan Caves. We found the cottage to be lovely and the owners very welcoming and helpful. We have 2 young boys and they were kept amused by the toy box and videos. The cottage was very clean and fresh and extremely well equipped and modern. We could easily have stayed longer. Highly recommend it to anyone.

San Diego, CABeautiful accommodations in the Blue Mountains
Left on 09/20/2010 for a stay in August 2010
We highly recommend The Crimson Villa for your stay in the beautiful Blue Mountains. In our 3 week tour of Victoria and New South Wales The Crimson Villa was our favorite place to stay and, surprisingly, it was also the most reasonably priced. We found the accommodations clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The kitchen window looks out over a beautiful garden where we enjoyed watching the birds, especially the kookaburra. The hosts are friendly and kind and have lots of suggestions about exploring this spectacular region. We received a discount for our extended stay of three nights, however, we still wish we could have stayed longer.

Left on 09/14/2010 for a stay in September 2010
No hassles checking in, manager there to welcome us.
The accommodation was modern well appointed with basically everything we needed for our stay.
The amenities were fine, good comfortable queen bed , good kitchen bathroom and lounge area. We appreciated the laundry with dryer as we needed to wash clothes as we had been traveling.
The location was beautiful and quiet and had a loverly garden but still close to town
What we liked best was the price for this quality accommodation and what we liked least was "leaving" !
