Description from the owner

There's nothing else like it! Some will say it’s 'awesome', others have called it 'amazing', the Hawaiians would say 'No Ka Oi' (the best).

Hale No Ka Oi is simply the best home away from home you will find in Molokai and perhaps anywhere in the Hawaiian Islands. This is a top floor suite with stunning views over the ocean to the island of Lanai. This is a heavenly, restful retreat for the mind and body. The ideal central location of this condo is convenient, allowing you to avoid those long 45 minute trips to the east or west ends of the island.

Just a short drive from the airport and only minutes into town. The perfect...Read more

    Additional Location Information

Less than a mile from town, and directly on the ocean front, this condo has one of the best views on the island. The edge of the shore is literally less than 50 feet in front of the lanai. The sunsets over the ocean can be just stunning. The is also the most central location on the island, so if you wish to venture out to the east or west ends of the island, you are already at least half way to where you're going.

      Beautiful Condominium

Left on 01/23/2013 for a stay in January 2013

We had the pleasure to stay in Chad’s condo at Molokai Shores unit #330 for twelve days this month (Jan. 2013) for our 25th wedding anniversary. Chad was very easy to work with during the whole process. He answered immediately any questions I had before our stay. Instructions were sent prior to our arrival as to checking in and he had plenty of information in the condo about the complex and things to do in Molokai.

The condo was very clean and decorated immaculately with high end furniture. There is a king size bed downstairs and a queen size bed in the loft bedroom. We chose to sleep upstairs in the loft bedroom because to us, it was quieter. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had all the necessary pots & pans, dishes, etc. needed to cook if you choose to do so. There were beach towels, beach chairs and a cooler which was nice to have when going to the beaches.

The view was absolutely beautiful. Waking up to seeing the ocean right outside was wonderful. We saw whales out front (you will need binoculars, which we brought), the ferry coming and going to Maui and cargo ships.

We went fishing with Hallelujah Hoe Fishing and caught some beautiful fish that we cooked that evening. Captain Clay knows his “stuffâ€. We caught all the fish we needed within two hours and started whale watching. We got in a pod of whales (5) that we followed for about an hour. That was a real treat.

We also did everything else that you will read about to do with the exception of the mule ride. We just decided to pass on it because of the switchbacks on the trail and the height.

All in all, we loved Molokai, Chad’s condominium and the people of Molokai. We want to return in the future and hope to stay in the beautiful condo again. Thank you Chad!!

If you've set your heart on Molokai and prefer a condo rather than the limited hotel options, this is clearly a superb option for your stay. The location is central to the island and the amenities are top-notch. Our trip to Molokai was a surprise visit for my wife's birthday, and the was in awe of this condo, the decor and the grounds of Molokai Shores. After each days exploration of Molokai (remote beaches, jeep trails, Kalaupapa mule ride and aloha Fridays at Hula Shores) we looked forward to the evenings to retire to this luxurious condo.

There were no issues with the rental process or the condo during our stay and the owner/agent was very personable and a pleasure to deal with.

As I sit here, my wife is saying that I could go on for days talking about Hale No Ka Oi. She's right. If you ever have the chance to rent this unit, do yourself a favor and do it! Molokai Shores Unit 330 is amazing. The decor, the design, the "amentities" are without compare. The view from the lanai is that of the pool and some of the most beautiful sunsets that I have ever seen. The location is very convenient to town...the Friendly Food Market is just that, friendly and Kanemitsu's Bakery, simply put, has the best French bread that I've ever eaten. Try this out for dinner one night...we drove west to the Kumu Farm. Bought fresh salad greens, green beans, papaya and Molokai grass fed porterhouse steaks. On the way back, stopped at the Friendly Market for a bottle of red wine. Grabbed a loaf of French bread at Kanemitsu's and then a quick stop at Dave's Ice Cream for some take out pints. Grills are available at Molokai Shores for your use. Watching the sunset while enjoying this meal was just one of many memorable moments that we shared thanks to Chad and this wonderful condo. We will be back and we will make every attempt to rent this unit on future visits to Molokai.

Hi Chad: We loved your place at Molokai Shores. It was the nicest place that we stayed over the years that we have visited Molokai. It is, understandably, booked solid. This should make us plan our trips a bit more in advance; we tend to do things rather spur of the moment. Suzanne and Graham Mower...Evergreen, CO.

It would of been better if you had blinds to block out the sun When you are away. Especially as the suns shine directly into the unit.

The view of the ocean from the deck is awesome and the swimming pool is right there, and if you want, you can walk into town. It's quiet and great for sleeping, and I got use to the roosters after a day or two.

Rest, Relaxation, and an amazing Vacation

Left on 09/25/2010 for a stay in March 2010

We had a wonderful vacation on Molokai. We truly had the opportunity to rest and relax. Everyone on the island was wonderful. We did just about everything one could. We sat at the pool for some time each day. We rented a jeep from National at the Hotel Molokai. This really came in handy when we went exploring the island on the dirt trails. We rode the mules down to Kalaupapa. What an experience that was. I'm glad you recommended it! We visited many of the restaurants. We really enjoyed listening to music at the Hotel Molokai while eating dinner and it was a beautiful place to eat breakfast. What an experience going to the bakery at night was but oh so good!! We got the bread with the works. My husband doesn't usually eat bread but this was absolutely delicious. We ate half the loaf that night and the other half for breakfast. I wish I would have brought an extra loaf to take home to Minnesota! Now for your amazing condo...Wow doesn't say it all. We loved being able to share your home. We sat out on the lanai every morning and evening. Everything we needed was there for us to use and more. You did a beautiful job remodeling it. We loved the bathroom with the double sinks, the fully stocked kitchen and the great living room to relax in. We didn't spend much time inside but when we did it was like being at home. Thanks again for sharing your Molokai home with us.

I am about to earn my degree in Interior Design and was very interested to stay at this property and particularly in this Unit. I lived in the Hawaiian Islands for 25 years and moved to the mainland five years ago. Until the day we are able to return to the islands permanently our vacations on Molokai will have to "get us through". Hale No Ka Oi is a great place to unwind on the restful island of Molokai while enjoying state of the art accommodations. Chad is quick to answer emails and was very helpful with our stay. Aloha

Nice high quality place that was noisy and warm!! No aC

Left on 09/23/2010 for a stay in April 2009

Very high quality codo with an nice view. However, no aC which made it uncomfortable from late morning to late afternoon even with the fans on. You basically had to get out an do something away from the unit. We had to leave the doors and patio open to get cross ventilation and this allowed for a lot of noise from the neighbors and their kids.

Chad was very nice and excellent to work with.

This being said, this is probably one of the nicest places to stay on Molakai.

Chad was a great help to us, as we made our rental at very short notice. He sent us the necessary infromation and we didn't have any problems finding the rental home. Everything was in order and the appartment well equiped.
We enjoyed the view from the balcony and were glad the house did not have any aC. The fans were a great help to cool down the flat in the evening.
The kids especially enjoyed the pool.
The location, being inthe middle of the island made it easy to do trips to both sides of Molokaii.
