A relaxing, rural getaway in a historically and scenically fascinating Mediterranean village. Immersed in culture and history in the picturesque Turquoise Coast of Turkey, Kayakoy is the perfect setting for a relaxing but active holiday in the Mediterranean. The landscape is scenic, nightlife is vibrant, hospitality is warm and the people are unfailingly friendly.

Our house is a traditional Turkish farmhouse and we try to keep the house, as it is as much as possible.

We were able to take the photos at the end of the season in December so they don’t really reflect the shiny and sunny days of the usual Mediterranean summer but I... do think they can still guide you to a warm feeling of a farmhouse.

Our house is set in ten acres; it has a mature apple orchard thus the name. You will enjoy the shade of fig, quince, and lemon trees in the summer.

In front of the house, there’s a well-kept and big garden where we grow our tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and other vegetables.

The house is set on two floors. The first floor has the living area as set on an open plan with the dining area and the kitchen. There’s also a WC.

The dining area has French doors that open to a large and shaded porch just by the vegetable garden. There’s a hammock and a big dining table on the porch for al-fresco meals.

The living area has two comfortable sofas that can easily be used as beds if needed. You will also find two big armchairs and a rocking chair.

The dining table is traditionally made of walnut tree and can sit 6 people around a square.

The kitchen is set on an open plan as part of the dining area so you will not be away from the other guests if you choose to cook.

The second floor has 2 bedrooms that can accommodate 4 guests comfortably: one double en-suite bedroom with a shower and a twin bedroom .

There is also another larger bathroom with a tub.

The rooms are comfortably decorated and each one has its own cabinets and drawers.

Our villas are located in Kayakoy at the very south-west corner of the Turkish Mediterranean. The village has a beautiful coastline, finest weather and is immersed in history and culture. It provides a perfect setting for a rural getaway and an idyllic holiday in the Mediterranean.

Kayakoy keeps its traditional Turkish farming village identity pretty well. You can see locals dealing with their everyday chores, herding goats, tending vegetable gardens, keeping chickens or just lazing under the sun chatting to neighbors.

Kayakoy is a former Greek village that suffered from the population exchange tragedy of late Ottoman history. You can still see the remains of the deserted Greek village as you walk around. The area has the finest weather and climate throughout the year. It’s very rural and offers a great variety of Mediterranean wild life.

In the summer, the village caters for western visitors so you will also see many other travelers around either just passing for the day or staying in various hotels. It’s a perfect combination to understand the rural life culture in a traditional village but also have the access to cafés, restaurants, car hires, anything that you would need to make it easy during our stay.

Nearest beaches are Gemiler and Oludeniz, just 10 minutes away by car. Should you choose to go further for the day, you can also visit ancient Roman ruins like Pinara, Tlos or Xanthos.
Car rental is recommended but many guests so far have been happy just using public transport which is very efficient. There's a covered garage at the villa if you choose to rent a car.
