The Hale Alaula Guest Cottage is located on a beach front plantation Estate originally built in the 1930's. The restored 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom guest cottage features vintage Hawaiian decor, a living room, a dining room, a small kitchen and a large lanai that looks out over an expansive manicured lawn. Enjoy ocean views from the master bedroom, dining room as well as the peaceful lanai.

Cleaning Fee
*Cleaning fees apply to stays of less than 5 nights. Cleaning fees are included in the per night price for stays of 5 nights or more.
Deposit Requirements
'There is a four (4) night minimum stay and monthly rates are available. A $200 deposit per week of your stay is required to confirm your reservation. Balance of rental fee plus tax and cleaning is due 30 days prior to reservation date.
Hawaii Excise & Accommodations Tax
All rates are subject to a Hawaii Excise and Accommodations Tax which total 12.25%. (4% Hawaii Excise Tax and 8.25% Hawaii transient accommodations tax).
Cancellation Policy
A refund will be given for cancellations received more than 30 days prior to the reservation date, less our $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations made later than that will receive refunds if we are able to re-book the accommodation.

We spent a week in December and just loved it. It was super clean, bright and cheerful with true plantation cottage ambience, yet had all modern amenities, especially the marble and stainless steel kitchen, recently remodeled. Furniture was very comfortable and attractive. The cottage had a partial view of the ocean, the beach was just a few steps away.The hosts were very helpful and welcoming, but afforded us complete privacy. The property is right on the beach, where we enjoyed the West Kauai sunsets in the evenings, sitting around a bonfire on adirondack chairs. There was also a large swimming pool right on the ocean. We loved it and will come back again.

This is our second stay on the west side, so peaceful and eclectic. We stayed at Fisher Cottage last year and decided to try Hale alaula...loved the property. The linens are lovely, the house has everything you need and it is decorated so tastefully. The property is private and quiet, it was nice to have use of the pool for a quiet swim in the morning. We spent our days hiking Waimae Canyon and Kokee Park trails to Napali Coast views then coming back to Hale alaula for some bbq fish and relaxing on the lanai. We loved our entire stay! Kendall and Joel welcomed us with open arms. They shared not just their property, but their knowledge and time. Suggestions for places to see, restaurants etc. were right on. The cottage was well equiped, steps from the ocean, and felt like old Hawaii. This area is quiet, and not touristy. Good grocery stores are close by, beaches and canyon are on your doorstep. It may be on the Westside, but all of the island is reachable and our day trips were grand. We saw all of Hanalei, Princeville etc, but were able to return to a quiet, peaceful, beachfront, comfy location with no crowds and unbelievable beauty. This will be a regular place for us to visit. Heavenly.

I have stayed at many properties offered at Kekaha Oceanside, and this one is my favorite. It is so quaint and comfortable, and perfect for a family. The master bedroom is open to the ocean breezes that lull you to a dreamy sleep and are awaken by the cool and fragrant air. The kitchen is adorable and fully equipped. The second bedroom is perfect for kids, and the layout really makes you feel at home. The beds are so comfortable and bathrooms stocked with amenities. The west side of the island is the perfect getaway from the crowds and Hale alaula Cottage is just what you need to feel like a local with all the comforts of a five star hotel. Book this place now!
