Awake to the calling of loons. Stand in awe on the deck at sunset as the western sky across the lake slowly transforms into a palette of fire.

This 550 sq. ft.cabin is well equipped for your needs. Electric heat and appliances; an overhead fan to move air; 3 piece bath (shower); a loft with one double and two singles, with a fold down futon on the main level; dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, bedding, towels, books, and movies. A large TV is available for games or movies on the main floor, with a smaller TV in the loft. For your mental rest, there is no cable or cell phone service in the resort, except one land line in the main lodge. O...n the deck are chairs, a BBQ, and all the scenery you could want.

The cabin is located in a small resort, with a resident manager for your security. Guests have free access to the dock, free use of boats or canoes, with paddles or oars, and life jackets provided (bring your own motor, if desired). Fishing in the lake is not restricted, and trout up to three pounds have been recently caught. The water is clean and great for swimming, and there is a large, movable "pirate ship" for children to haul back and forth from the shore to the dock while the parents relax on the dock with their refreshment of choice.

For the young'uns there is a large, central grassy play area, with a small playground, and a volleyball net for the ambitious. Inside the lodge building (apart from the cabins) there is a games room for young or old in the event of inclement weather, or for evening enjoyment.

From the resort, you can walk or bike on trails leading to four nearby lakes, all in isolated settings, all with good fishing, clean waters, and silence.Read more

Additional Location Information

The cabin is located about 50 kms from downtown Kelowna. it is in a small resort located in mountainous terrain, at an elevation of 4,000 feet. Follow Highway 33 south and east from Kelowna, past the turnoff to the nearby Big White Ski Resort, until you reach the McCullough Lake turnoff on the right side of the Highway. follow that road,and follow the signs which direct you to Idabel lake. It is located about 5 kms off the highway on a well maintained gravel road.
