Left on 03/02/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We stayed in this holiday let for the week of our wedding anniversary we booked it at the last minute and were very lucky to find such a lovely immaculate flat at short notice. Only a 10 minute walk to town which means you can leave the car at the flat and enjoy your day in Kendal without having to worry about parking. The owners leave more than the usual extras for your use toiletries in the bathroom everything you would need in the kitchen as well as coffee and tea etc there is fresh milk in the fridge. Fresh flowers and a bottle of very nice wine was on the dining room table which we opened on the 14 Feb our anniversary a very nice touch. The only thing we needed was internet access our son had to go in for an operation in Japan while we were away and it would have been useful if we had been able to speak to him via skype. Internet access is available in town at Cafe Nero but with a 9 hour time difference this was not a help to us at this time. These things happen and in no way did it stop us enjoying our time at The Parsonage.

FavershamTop Quality hideaway in Kendal
Left on 07/14/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We stayed here for a week in July and found the property to be as others had reviewed it as a nice retreat for couples if staying in Kendal. The owners keep the place spotless and even left us a bottle of wine, flowers and milk in the fridge. The flat is near the railway but one does not hear the once an hour trains, so do not be put off. The beautiful well-equipped kitchen is a bonus. Would recommend.

Left on 04/23/2012 for a stay in April 2012
An excellent apartment on the end of the building with a parking space for the car.
The apartment is very nicely decorated and furnished with all mod cons. The owners supplied a nice little welcome package consisting of wine, washing up liquid, toiletries, tea and coffee and a beautiful vase of freesias (my wife's favourite!). Towels and bed linen both supplied and beautifully clean. My wife loved the bath in the bedroom saying just how comfortable and relaxing it was. The apartment is ideally located for the town (a 5 minute walk in) and a perfect base from which to travel to the lakes and surrounding areas of interest. We had a superb meal at the local Indian Restaurant 'The Bengal', where the service was excellent as was the food. We also had a Chinese take away meal from the Silver Fortune in the town which was also top quality. A must see is the Town's Castle just 300 metres away up the hill and just down the road from the apartment. It's free, a nice little stroll and has a great history and descriptive information sheets dotted around it. We visited aira Force near Ullswater, which was a magnificent waterfall. (If you continue your walk past the main waterfall itself and follow the river upstream you encounter several other very impressive falls and water cross overs). You could easily take a packed lunch and spend the day there or alternatively use the tea rooms at the bottom in the car park. Sizergh Castle and Muncaster Castle are both superb examples.A trip to Morecambe (which was virtually shut!) revealed a gem of a cafe in 'The Coffee Pot' where my wife had 'real' mashed potato and sausages and I had easily the best home made Steak pie I have ever tasted! The weather was very kind to us and didn't stop us doing all the things we had intended to do during our week long stay. Would I go back to Kendal? Yep! Would I go back to the Parsonage? Yep! Cumbria is a lovely place with lots of things to go and places to visit. Kendal is one of them. -

A beautiful house with a lot of space. More than they wrote in the adverb.
We realy loved to stay there, it felt like home!
The owner was very friendly.
It was just a short walk from the city centre.
It was right in the middle of the Dales and the Lake District.
We had a lovely time and we tell all our (Dutch) friends about it. -

We stayed here for a long snowy weekend in November and it was perfect. The cottage was beautifully furnished and had some lovely finishing touches, especially the bath in the bedroom! It was well located for a short walk in to Kendal.
