Situated just one mile outside the picturesque town of Kenmore An Dun House is an attractive, spacious and luxurious 4 bedroom property that will make a perfect location for any get away. Kenmore is home a wide variety of activities including salmon fishing, horse riding, tennis, golfing as well as an array of offsite activities, including water sports, mountain climbing and lots more.
Kenmare offers a variety of outdoor activities; salmon fishing on the Sheen River, horse riding available locally, hill walking trails, scenic bike tours, tennis, golfing and an array of offsite activities, including water sports, mountain climbing and lots more. After a hectic day in the outdoors why not retire to a relaxing treatment or use the leisure facilities available at the adjacent Sheen Falls Lodge Hotel. The leisure facilities are available to Mountain View residents free of charge.

We have just returned from a weeks stay in the beautiful an Dun house in Kenmare. We have been fans of Kenmare for many years; previously we have stayed at The Sheen Falls Lodge. An Dun house is a privately owned property which is situated just across the road from Sheen Falls and is part of the country club; this means that we were able to avail of the hotel swimming pool and leisure facilities.
An Dun house is an exquisite four bedroom property each bedroom is en-suite. The house is very tastefully decorated and has all the mod cons you would expect from a property of this standard. On arrival we were welcomed by a glowing log fire, this along side the tranquil ambience of the house made us feel instantly at home. Kenmare itself is a blissful location for a holiday, from the scenery to the amazing choice of top quality restaurants it is little wonder it has become a firm favourite with us. An Dun house is a perfect home from home we were delighted with our choice and will definitely plan a return visit. -

Ann greeted us on arrival. She made us feel so welcome and was on call for the entire week. She told us about the must see tourist attractions, good dining and outdoor walking trails. She is a wonderful person and a super host.
An Dun House is a very special property. Its location for one, is superb. It is on an elevated site overlooking the lovely Sheen Falls Hotel. If you are into the outdoors as we are, there are beautiful walks throught the woods and along Kenmare River. The peace and quietness is perfect.
The house is so relaxing and spacious. It is warm and comfortable and have all the little extras that make a holiday complete.
We dined out in Caesars Restaurant in Sheen Falls Hotel which is a 5 minute walk from the house. It was really nice and just a short stroll back to the house after a few glasses of vino.
I swam most mornings in the Sheen Falls spa pool. Its a bit small for a proper work out but very relaxing all the same.
Kenmare has to be one of my favourite towns. It is picturesque, clean, tidy, has fabulous eateries and amazing shops for a town of its size.
We visited many of the tourist attractions recommended by ann around the area but our favourite was the walk over the old Killarney road to Kitty's (as the locals call it) Cafe in the Blackvalley and then got the boat ride through the Lakes of Killarney to Ross Castle. It was stunningly beautiful and the closest thing to my idea of paradice.
This is a beautiful house, location and town and we would highly recommend anyone to spend a week or two here. We hope to return to this house again in September or early October. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
