The villas are completely secluded and offer 100% privacy. The modern large semi open dining and living area perfectly blend in with the lush green tropical garden and the stylish swimming pool. The semi open area can be closed by using the semipermeable see through shutters to ensure comfortable lounging during tropical weather conditions while keeping the sense of spacious outdoor living. Both first floor double bedrooms offer a classic Balinese view overlooking the rice fields and are supported by spacious balconies. The view of mount Agung, the stunning volcano, can be viewed from one of the balconies.   We housed the family at the shine villas when we had our wedding in bali in Dec 2012. Location wise, it was a little out of the way (10-15 mins from seminyak where the hubs and i stayed) but we already knew this when we booked the villa, so that was not a problem. the paved road (not gravel, as with the rest of the lanes in the area) was a bonus, and it was relatively easy to locate the villa. Gorgeous architecture and breathtaking rice paddy views aside, I would like to comment on the service rendered by Jay, the owner, as well as the service staff. Excellent service by the butler team who were very accommodating. The flight, which was scheduled to arrive in the early evening, was delayed and they only arrived at the villa at 1am. I had pre-ordered dinner when booking the villa and was expecting the staff to heat up the dinner in the microwave(due to the late arrival). Much to their (and my) surprise, when the family arrived at the villa, the chef was preparing dinner. food was gorgeous, and although there were certain technical hiccups (water supply stopped for several hours on one of the days, but this is bali, after all), they were promptly rectified. thus, excellent service recovery. We had an infant in the group, who fell sick, and Jay took the trouble to come down to the villa, offered suggestions as to the specialist/hospital etc. The only gripe was the little bugs (albeit harmless) that scurried out of the drainage hole whenever the lights are off at night and the mosquitoes in the living area. We had some friends in the villa next door, and they thoroughly enjoyed their stay too. although the pool isn't heated, it retains heat well, so night swims were enjoyable. overall, highly recommended, and great value for money.

  Staying at the Shine Villa's turned out to be one of the best holiday's ive ever had. The stylish deco, clean and tidy rooms, friendly staff, salinated pool, tasty breakfast all made my stay an unforgettable one. Even with my 7 month old baby we had all our comforts and enjoyed every minute of it. Nice restaurants in the area, but not over commercial as in (lets say) Kuta.

  I was fortunate enough to stay at the Shine Villas in January 2011.
  As an architect I truly appreciated all the attention to detail from bamboo trees alongside the outdoor showers to led lit stairs. The villas have a perfect balance of a sleek modern interior with a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
  
  The location is quiet and peaceful with a great view of the rice fields and only a short motorbike ride to great international nightlife and restaurants.
  
  The helpful staff made me feel completely pampered and between the stunning outdoor pool and high speed wifi available I had a hard time leaving! I am already planning my next visit!
