We went this february for my wifes birthday easy to book and find and were greeted with a lovely note ad a fruit cake by the owners.
we have been going to the keswick area each year for approx 15 years and this one of the most welcoming cosy cottages we have been to.

      High Doat is hgh value

Left on 09/05/2012 for a stay in May 2012

This accommodation made our stay in the UK from australia one of the best yet as it empowered us to get out and about the lake District when we wanted with easy parking, good central location to Keswick for walking into town or just rambling. Cottage is well maintained and provided us with all of our needs, the one exception was a lack of bath towels that we had to purchase locally. We would definitely recommend to couples or families.

Both my husband and myself really enjoyed this property it had lots of good things going for it. Nicely tucked away in a quiet area with easy access to all walks, town and pubs. On our arrival to the property the owners left milk, teabags and a cake which was really nice. The bungalow was well equiped clean spacious and lovely views. So overall excellent.

Beautiful, cosy bungalow - a home from home with everything you could need. Very quiet location with fantastic views but within easy walking distance of the town centre. You could even park a little closer to town if you were lucky (maybe not in high season though.
The garden would be a lovely place in good weather to have your meal. Nothing to dislike at all.

This cottage is very highly recommended it is furnished to a very high standard with everything in pristeen condition. The only downside and there is only one it is very steep access to the property for elderly people as we are. Fortunately we have a disabled badge hence we were able to park free of charge in town which we had to do but apart from that we would rate this as superb.

What a find. A 10 minute walk into Keswick (turn left out of the house down the snicket at the end of the road ,it's a lot quicker!). It's situated on the edge of town so well away from what can be a very busy town centre. The cottage is very clean and has everything you need for a real home from home holiday. There's so much to do in Keswick and there are dozens of great walks within a 20 minute drive. We even did Skiddaw from the house. The pitch and putt golf near the lake is great fun. Still lots of walks to do in the area so we'll be back again
