The owner was more than accommodating in working with me to get a very reasonable price for a week's stay, using his graduated bidding system with the renter receiving the benefit of advance booking. He also was very patient about my stopping the payment I'd made, because my charge card statement had a name that I did not associate with this booking, e.g. the charge was to Rose Financial Services, while the website (Discount Time Shares) did not show this business name and I didn't pay attention to what his name was. Also, the website was wordy and rather "cluttered", but it did the job.
This handy first-floor unit was very small but we were mostly on the hill skiing or out to dinner. It was clean and minimally, but adequately, equipped in the kitchen...enough to cook two meals and breakfasts there. Furnishings were newish Idaho rustic. Skiis were stored in a locked hall closet outside the unit, and the car was in a secure garage across the street. Bus service to the lifts, etc. was superb. The only problems were: (1) a very drafty bedroom at night, at least on my side of the bed near the window (i.e. it's a very small room with barely enough space for the bed); and (2) a terribly slippery, satin bed cover on the comforter...it was impossible to keep it on during the night. I strongly recommend changing this to something cotton that won't slip and is washable. Re the cold window...I piled clothes and extra pillows to close the spaces between the blind and the window, and it was better, but still uncomfortable. -

We had a great stay at Elkhorn Village - don't let the exterior fool you! These units are a tad older than some of the others nearby; the interiors have been redone and are extremely comfortable and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our four days there in early February. Rick Rose is a gem to work with; and the check-in staff in downtown Ketchum was helpful also. A most memorable stay - we look forward to returning.

I have stayed at the Elkhorn resort several times and each time the units have been clean and worked great for our stay. The location is perfect and the rates great. My only complaint is there has been a few problems with checking in, where we are not able to get our room key and enter our room until late in the afternoon. Checking in earlier would make the experiences perfect.

Could not believe we were able to book such great accommodations so close to Christmas! Rick was a great help in making everything work out for us. When he didn't have anything available for all of our dates, he made it work with some rearranging. We had plenty of room for our adult family of five. Had plenty of heat. Did not hear any noise from the other condos. Parking was convenient and part of the contract. We were able to cook a couple of dinners in the kitchen, including Christmas, and also made cookies. It was just over the hill from Dollar Mountain Ski area and a short drive to town.

This condo was perfect for my wife and I to spend a few days. Accomodations were comfortable and convenient. Everything we needed was in the kitchen and the bike racks outsite were a nice addition so we could secure our bikes without having them in the car.

The condo in which we stayed was clean, comfortable and cozy! We had a great experience and can't wait to return. Although it seems too good to be true - the cost that is - it is not. We loved it and had an excellent experience with Rick - highly recommend.

I rented a studio condo which was more like a small one bedroom with the bedroom separated by folding partition. We stayed during one of the hottest weeks in august and the ground floor condo stayed cool and comfortable even though there was no a/c. Not having a/c is often a problem in some of the older Sun Valley condos. The condo was very clean and nicely furnished. The proximity to the pool and the underground parking was a tremendous convenience. The condo we rented was right by the road, but there was very little road noise as it seemed the windows had all been refurbished. Rick was great to deal with and very responsive to all inquiries. I have rented many condos in Sun Valley and this one is an incredible value for the price. This condo suited our needs in every way.

We stayed for a weekend ski trip in Feb 2011, and couldn't have been happier! Our unit was huge!! Very nicely appointed, quiet, perfect for a weekend ski getaway. Only drawback is the distance from Bald Mtn, Ketchum, and the hot tub, but for the price, not that bad.
If I were planning another ski getaway weekend with a group of 2-8, and the snow at SV was good, I'd book here again in a heartbeat! -

When we went to check in we found that we were given a condo on the 2nd floor with no elevator. We made our arrangements with the understanding there was an elevator. There was an elevator but not in our building. The renting agent made a call and was very accomodating to change our unit to the first floor. We could not have been more pleased with our experience even with the slight delay to chabge units.

Everything I read about this place was accurate and the rental was very nice as were all the people we dealt with. There were no surprises which is the way I like it. We won't go back as we did not find so may things of interest for us, but if you want to be in this area, this is a great place to stay!

Came for the Sun Valley Wine Festival. Perfect location - just up the road from the event. Wonderful unit - very tastefully decorated. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bedroom "compact",so for one couple, just fine. While no Wi-Fi in the unit - Ketchum (the town) has free wi-fi - (so pick your own spot to check in with the world, if you need to ":-) One plus - parking is in covered garage, keeping car comfortable! Delightful community, with plenty to do... Bring your walking (running) shoes and put some tread on their many hiking trails. For those that ski - I can see this a a great location to base yourself. We really enjoyed staying here and will return again next year. Rick Rose was excellent in handling the booking - a wealth of information (!)

Vacation Rental is definitely the way to go if you are heading to Sun Valley. Registration process is simple - with one call you have your reservation. Easy check in process (less than 3 minutes) and I was out the door with keys in hand. Condo was perfect for 2 people - neat clean, comfortable. Location was 3-4 minutes to downtown Ketchum and ski resorts. This place is perfect for people who are going to play in Sun Valley all day and come back to chill. Full kitchen is great...bring basic food and you can cut down your meal expense...
The price is far better than any hotel / lodge and the process is easy. Clean, painless, and affordable... -

Very nice place. We were plesantly suprised at how spacious the place was. Everything we needed was there. The check in process was a bit confusing because it is at a hotel several miles away. We came in at night so they gave us a code to a lock box. Dropping off the keys was done at the hotel as well.
