The house is located just 3.5 miles from Kettle Falls, WA (about 6 miles from the boat launch on Lake Roosevelt- walleye fishing), and 10 miles from Colville, WA yet is located on 370 private acres with access to over 450 private, family owned, acres for the opportunity of a lifetime to hunt deer and turkey. Photographers and hikers also enjoy the diverse terrain and beautiful scenery.

Hunters, your secret is out. Just spent a week with my three other sisters at Mingo Mountain Retreat. The house is a comfortable, spacious, historical home located in a country setting with one outrageous view, especially from the top of the hill behind the house. We visited following the hunting season and found the spring flowers in full bloom around the country side and on the trails we traveled.
We would highly recommend walking the Sherman Log Flume trail on the west side of the Lake from Kettle Falls, visiting the Pend Oreille Lakes area, stopping by the Kettle Falls Historical Museum (and hope Dwight is available to show you around!), hiking the hill behind the Mingo Mountain Retreat home, and visiting the Mingo Mountain Gardens across the street. Oh, and don't forget to have lunch at Meyers Market on E. Third Street in Kettle Falls!
Thanks to both Kelly and Heidi, we had a very comfortable and relaxing visit. Kelly visited us just enough to ensure we had whatever we needed, but left us mostly alone to relax in the peace and quiet.
If you are looking for the charm of an older, historic home we would highly recommend this vacation home.
