Fern Cottage is a stunning renovation of a semi detached, former Blacksmith's shop dating from 1657 in the picturesque village of Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

If you are looking for a beautiful village in the Yorkshire Dales, Kettlewell is it. Fern Cottage is perfect in every way for location, the village store at one end of the lane and the village pubs at the other, with spectacular views from every window. The cottage is exceptionally clean throughout, pet friendly and an ideal retreat after a days walking or scenic drive. There are walks in every direction and the cottage is a stones throw from all of these. The rooms are comfortable, kitchen well equipped, a choice of bath or shower and both are lovely! The cottage is well organised, with excellent resources of information. A lovely touch of a bottle of milk in the fridge on arrival. The owners live next door, friendly when needed and leave you to it if you dont. A gem of a cottage in a gem of a village, very highly recommended.

Cottage immaculate with very friendly owners. Upper Wharfedale is the best area for relaxing and walking and Kettlewell has everything required in shops and pubs. Already booked for 2012.

This is a modern and well equiped 3 bed property right in the centre of Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales. The owners (next door) have created a wonderful cottage conversion (see the "before" picture on Google Street map!). As well as the wonderful sights and walking within easy reach, it is located just yards from two of the three pubs in the village (but still very quiet and no parking problems).

fern cottage is a small but beautiful cottage set in stunning countryside. We felt very at home and the owners were very friendly and there if needed at any time. There are good pubs only minutes away serving good food. Good location for walking. Lovely experience all round.
