Located towards the end of the canal for a short idle time out. Internet access is provided. New refridgerator and washer were installed Jan. '13. The weekly rent is $1,650.00 per week for 6. Can be rented as a 2 bedroom as well for $1,350.00 for 4 people. The monthly rate is $4,950.00 as a 3 bedroom and $4,050.00 as a 2 bedroom. The security deposit is $500.00.

Key Colony Beach is located at MM53.5 at the northern end of Marathon. The Islands of Marathon span about 15 miles in the Middle Keys, halfway between Key West and Key Largo. The historic Island of Pigean Key is located at the north end of the 7 mile bridge with its 65 foot high span. The bridge offers easy access to the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic Ocean. Vaca Cut also offers access to the Gulf and Atlantic and is at the west end of Key Colony Beach.

The Islands of Marathon are a bird watcher's paradise - spot roseate spoonbills, bald eagles, great blue herons and many more native to the region. The Marathon Wild Bird Center is located at Crane Point Hammock, a hardwood hammock and natural history museum.

Kayak and explore the miles of tunnels under the mangroves. Snorkel and dive beautiful natural reefs. We have both shallow and deeper reefs and wrecks for more advanced divers. Every type of salt water angling is available here! See dolphin and sea turtles in the wild or stop by the Dolphin Research Center or Turtle Hospital for a tour.

The City of Key Colony Beach is located in the middle keys at MM 53.5. The city is only 15 streets but has everything! Restaurants, bars, golf course, tennis courts, kayak rentals, boat rentals, charter boats, marina, private membership beach/pool, and dive shop are all within walking distance from anywhere in the city. Close by are numerous activities in the Marathon area, such as, snorkeling the reef, dolphin and turtle centers, nature centers, kite boarding, paddle boarding, and any kind of fishing you want to do! Key West is an hour drive south and Key Largo is an hour drive north so you can easily see and do everything from one end of the keys to the other!

  We have stayed in this house the past two years for a couple of weeks at a time. This is a very functional house and it fits 5 or 6 easily. Some things were well worn such as the master bed. It creaks and squeaks. I'm not sure the owner has lived here much or if so they haven't put much into it recently. Even though they did replace the grill that was badly rusted.The TV was a bit difficult to figure out - no instructions and no batteries.
  However, KCB realty was very good to attend to our maintenance requests - the slider, pilled sheets.
  The house did provide a good place to spend a couple of weeks for the family.
