Quaint cottage located on mile marker 100. Key Largo is known as the 'Dive Capital of the World.' John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park has two beaches, and a replica of a shipwreck in the water which is great for snorkeling. We are located only a few blocks from the Marina where you can go fishing, take a glass-bottom boat ride, snorkel, etc.... So, whether you want to hike on surrounding nature trails or swim with the dolphins...it's all here. We have recently added 4 bikes for your convenience. 3 adult and one young child.

It's not a beachfront property but if you're looking for a rental that provides a clean, efficient, amenity-full home base while visiting the upper Florida Keys, then this cottage is perfect.
During our 10-day stay we needed a good location not far from our dive shop where we could prepare meals, get a hot shower and plenty of rest. The kitchen is well stocked with nice quality dishes and a full selection of pots & pans and kitchen tools. Having a natural gas stove was a nice plus. The bathroom had plenty of fluffy towels and an ample rug. Tall people will appreciate the high-mounted showerhead. As for the bedroom, the queen-sized bed was comfortable and there were plenty of additional bed linens available in the full-sized closet. Air-conditioning worked really well and allowed us to get a good night's sleep every night.
Extra plusses for a full-size washer/dryer unit located outside in the utility shed so we didn't have to listen to it working. The big 4-burner propane grill was in great shape and worked quickly. Bicycles were also provided but we didn't get the chance to use them.
Roy, the owner, installed new wireless internet access on the day of our arrival and it worked great. He was always available via phone and quick to respond to queries even before our arrival.
Although this cottage is only one block away from the Overseas Hwy (the main road through the Keys), it's in a residential neighborhood so you get the feel of being a transplanted local. Yes, there's a little road noise, but it never bothered us. There's no need to open the windows since you're running the a/c so it might as well be the sound of the surf. The cottage is walking distance to restaurants & shopping, just off the bike path, and easy driving access to the Overseas Hwy.
Would we stay again? Absolutely yes! In our opinion, after researching various Key Largo FlipKey listings, this one by far is the best value for anyone needing a home base for exploring the Upper Keys. -

We stayed here for a week. The place was ok, you can tell it is a bit old but for the price we were not expecting too much.
However, we were never told that the house it's right next to the main road, you can hear the trucks, cars and even construction going on because it is right next to it.
It mentions a deck, but it is not as spacious as it looks on the pictures and because it is right next to the highway you can't really enjoy to be outside.
The carpet seemed to have never been cleaned, as well as the dishes. We never saw a washing or dryer machine.

We are sorry to hear that the guests had a bad experience. We do know there was construction going on in the area, as they were putting in new sewer lines, which is out of our control. Of course this was only for about a week as they were passing through. The washer and dryer is located in the shed on the porch were the water heater are located as well. We are located one block in from the Overseas Highway,US1.
We do have a professional cleaning service that cleans after each guests, so the dishes should be cleaned as well every time. As to the carpet, we do have guests that spill drinks or dirt comes in with the shoes. The carpet are cleaned all the time, but it is up for renewal as soon we get a break in occupants. We pried our self in keeping a nice ,clean affordable vacation spot, and have done this since 2006 and never had a bad review before. -

Wonderful experience! The place is nice and super clean. Roy (the owner) is very helpful. He explained to us all the amenities that we got with the rental unit... He also provided tons of suggestions on restaurants to go. Great location too! We will definitely rent this place again when we are in the area!

It was a pleasure staying at Quaint Key Largo Cottage. Upon arrival Roy the owner was awaiting us to make sure we were familiar with all the amenities the cottage and the area had to offer. The Cottage itself was nicely remodeled and was equipped with everything one may ask for, including bikes, grill, washer, internet connection etc... The house itself was spick and span and located in the heart of Key Largo, although the actual location may be called a little close to US1. A lot of shops are within a short driving range.
We had a great holiday here in Key Largo and we would definitely recommend this little cottage for future stays.

This house and this location is an all-time favorite! We looked around at other spots in Key Largo and feel we lucked out finding this clean, quiet place. It really suited our tasted perfectly since privacy, comfort, and cleanliness are very important to me and my husband.
Relaxing atmosphere, lot of superior seafood restaurants nearby: Ballyhoo's, The Fish House, and then there is Pennekamp State Park and a Starbucks too. Also in the area are many Fishing Charters and Dolphin Swim programs. I recommend the Dolphin Swim. I recommend this place highly and will make reservations to come back! -

I have stayed at this property a dozen times over the last five years. It is clean, quiet, fully equiped and the owner is extrememly accomodating. There is a BBQ, Bikes, beach chairs and even beach towels. No need to bring anything but your clothes and toothbrush!
This is a pet friendly property within walking distance to the Key Largo Marina and a host of activities and dining. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. The area is nice and safe and the neighbors are really friendly! Also, can sleep 4 comfortably!
