Great location for this condo. We could walk pretty much everywhere we wanted to go. We visited over Christmas, the weather was perfect, sunny and 75 degrees every day.
Would highly recommend, Blue Heaven restaurant; Cafe Sole and Seven Fish, outstanding meals!!
Loved Key West and would return. Traveled with family, all adults. Would not recommend children, it did not seem a family orientated environment.
Condo was a bit outdated and needed some TLC, but clean. No views to speak of, although we had a nice patio off the main living area and a terrace off the master bedroom. Kitchen provided everything needed but didnt make any meals there except breakfast and snacks. We had housekeeping service everyday, which was a added bonus.
We made our reservations late for this popular destination so we did not have alot of options as far as accommodations. We would stay here again for the great location it provided, however, it needed some updating to bring it into 2000.Response from Key West Vacation Rentals - 01/11/2013

This condo was absolutely prefect for our stay in Key West. We found it the perfect sze for 5 people. The pictures on this site are very accurate. My only criticism, if any, was that the air conditioning is rather loud. But, if that is the only issue, then it is just about perfect. We especially liked the hot tub and the laundry facility right there in the condo. The location is also great. We were far enough down Duval Street to be away from the noise of the party scene, but not to far to walk there. With 5 of us splitting the cost of rental, this was a very reasonaby priced place to stay. Maintenance is also prompt and courteous.

The condo was beautiful and furnished with everything we needed, the pool, though small, was very nice, we were there for the beach at the state park, which was incredible. The night life was fun too... People watching is an art in Key West..

The location was great. We enjoyed waking to restaurants, Mallory Square,
and many other Key West destinations. We never used our car at all.
The unit really needs some work. The carpet wasn't clean, there were ants in
the kitchen, and the air wasn't able to cool the upstairs bedrooms. You
couldn't set it below 78 or it would freeze. The upstairs rooms (bedrooms)
were at least 10 degrees warmer. That made sleeping difficult as it was
quite hot there the week we stayed.
It was nice to have the kitchen although we never cooked. It was also nice
to have a washer and dryer.
The patio furniture needs to be repaired or replaced and the doors leading
from the living room to the patio had an inch gap letting in bugs and warm
air.

We very much appreciated the chance to work with your staff and to be able to stay at Duval Square. Unfortunately we were not able to come to Key West this year. As you know these trips are very expensive but we look forward to staying with you in the coming years. I do hope that a large deposit will not be necessary for good former clients as it is hard on the pocketbook.

There were 3 couples that went to Duval Square. Two couples were sharing Casa Maria, and we were taking the Monroe across the street. When we arrived to checkin, a mistake had been made and my husband and I were shown as arriving in March. Immediately the man running checkin looked and found Duval Square Penthouse was available for us. It was FABULOUS. The penthouse was nicely furnished, had everything one could ask for, and was kept in spit spot order by the staff. I have told people interested in Key West that this is the place to go.

The condos were nice enough but the second bedroom was very small. The upkeep on the unit was questionable since one of our party actually fell through the kitchen floor and was injured. It had rotted out! At least they didn't make us pay for the stay!!

WE REALLY ENJOYED THIS RENTAL. WAKE UP TO THE ROOSTERS OR SOFT RAIN FALL. BREAKFAST IN THE SQUARE WAS GREAT AND FUN. OUR RENTAL WAS VERY CLEAN. BEING RIGHT DOWN TOWN WAS A BIG PLUS, WE WALKED EVERYWHERE.

The description of the location with views of Duval were a little deceiving. There were no views from our unit. But overall the unit was clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable. I would go back again and recommend to friends.
