Our recent stay at Vista Fresco was great. Everything we needed from the blender to extra bath towels was provided. The only issue was something that management could do nothing about. That was the seaweed that washed up on all the beaches on the island as a result of hurricane Isaac. It smelled pretty bad. The condo was clean and security was wonderful.

Rent Key West was very accomodating and made our stay memorable. We absolutely loved the condo that we chose, and the pictures on line do not show how spacious and lovely that condo really is!
The pool area was nice and my daughter and neice loved spending time in the pool, however the pool on the bottom could be kept cleaner.
The location was perfect, this was our first trip to Key West, and would definitely stay in the same place again! -

We stayed at Vista Fresco in March, 2012 with our 9 & 11 year-old children for Spring Break. I feel like we were mislead about the property in some respects, and we didn't feel the condo was well-maintained:
1) Upon arrival, we had to wash the sheets on all 3 beds. There were blood and bleach stains on them, and the mattress pads clearly do not get washed between guests since they had lots (of other people's) hair on them.
2) The blinds in the living room were broken so we couldn't shut them fully. We didn't like the feeling of people looking in at night.
3) The towel bar in the hallway bathroom was broken and towels could not be hung on it without the whole thing falling off the wall.
As for being mislead, we asked about beach access (we were told it was right next to the beach), and the noise-level (we were told there might be some noise but nothing excessive or too late at night since most condos in the building would not rent to college-aged people).
1) Yes, the building was next to the beach but road construction had the side access gates locked so we had to walk to the front of the building (roughly the length of 2 football fields) and then back around the building to get to the beach. Kids do not like this kind of walk when hot and tired. We didn't like it because we could have spent far less money renting something not on the beach with the same length of a walk. A premium rate is paid for waterfront properties. Sure, it is steps away from the beach. When the gates are not locked.
2) The construction noise and inconvenience was seriously minimized as well. Jackhammers and dump trucks started between 7-8 am each morning and went until 4:00. Forget relaxing during any of this time. The construction included dredging sand right next to the parking lot which meant our car was covered in sand daily and we had to hose it off before driving. Our car was too tall for the parking garage, which we explained prior to booking. Rent Key West should check on their properties more often so they know the current conditions.
Other concerns:
1) We came back from grocery shopping the first day we were at the condo, and found a note saying the unit had been entered and sprayed for bugs. The building manager explained this was done monthly, but we were never informed this may happen and had left our laptop out. The bigger concern was that our younger child has asthma and chemical allergies, which I fully explained to the booking agent prior to signing the contract. I was assured the unit was non-smoking and the agent agreed not to have housekeeping spray the air freshener they use before our arrival. We spent 2 days with our daughter having hives and asthma attacks. When I called Rent Key West, they said they didn't know about the pest control spraying (again, something they should have known) and no apology was offered.
2) The unit is located directly above the parking garage, and loud motorcycle noises were heard until about midnight each night. The combination of construction in the early morning and motorcycles late at night meant we were not getting much sleep (even with earplugs).
The building itself is dated but generally clean. The pool area overlooking the ocean was gorgeous, as were the tropical gardens in the courtyard. This area was very clean and very well-kept, and is what earned the stay 2 stars instead of 1. We also appreciated the large flat-screen Tv's and free Wi-Fi in the condo. The kitchen was well-equipped and the master bathroom has an incredible open shower. However, none of the assets came close to canceling out the other problems.
We ended up leaving a few nights earlier than we had booked and paid for due to being tired of the noise, not being able to sleep, and just having a generally annoying stay. Rent Key West did not offer any sort of refund even though we booked just a couple of weeks prior to our stay and we had called to tell them about the various issues we had. They did offer us "10% off our next stay, as long as it wasn't during a holiday or high season." To us, this was a non-offer Band aid. If this had been better handled, I wouldn't have written a review. The Rent Key West staff was friendly but barely contrite about our issues, and always claimed befuddlement about our complaints. I prefer rental agencies that take the time to really know their properties, especially at this price point.

We are very sorry about these guests unfortunate experience. The new owners of this condo, purchased just over a year ago, have added lots of love and expense in the remodeling of this condo, creating one of Key West's few, true handicapped accessible properties (which includes luxurious furnishings). This property has been occupied by grateful guests because of these major renovations which allowed them to enjoy accommodations close to Key West's beaches and attractions. This is a lovely condo as the other reviewers reveal.

Great time in Paradise
This past trip to Key West, I wanted to experience the real "Key West", not just the Key West that people on the cruise ships see. Rent Key West Vacations came through for me and helped me reach my goal. They assisted me in selecting a Condo at 1800 atlantic ave. which is the perfect location. They checked on my arrival time before I left for Florida and when I didn't arrive at my scheduled time, called me to make sure everything was ok. Vista Fresco (condo) was everything Rent Key West Vacations said it would be, heated Olympic size pool, small sand beach, etc. but what they forgot to mention was the large, beautiful tropical garden with wild orchids right in the middle of the complex, and the sheltered area's within the garden where you can relax in the shade and read a book from the library located within the complex. From Vista Fresco I could take a walk on Smather Beach (50 ft away) in the morning to catch a sunrise, be back for lunch and still walk to Malory Square (1.5 miles) to celebrate the Sunset in the evening. Yes, I was able to experience the real Key West, unfortunately the time there was too short to see and do all the things that Key West has to offer. Guess I will just have to come back next year and I will definitely be booking with Rent Key West Vacations

Nice condo complex. Clean,secure and great location. This condo had been renovated nicely but the pillows on the beds seemed old. They were flat and uncomfortable! There was however a beautiful pool area and easy access to Smathers Beach.

The condo had lots of space and privacy for each bedroom area. The kitchen and living areas were fully stocked with everything you need to be comfortable. The rental company was very responsive. The recessed light in the master bath blew out during our stay. We called and they came right over and took care of the lighting.
Loved the large, clean and very well maintained pool area that also had a wonderful ocean view. The building had good security and a garage parking spot comes with the condo.

From touch down to takeoff 10 days later, our stay in Key West was a comfortable, great getaway for the holidays. Making arrangements sight unseen can sometimes lead to surprises but everything we expected and were promised unfolded perfectly upon our arrival. The Vista Fresco unit is a large, immaculate and well appointed condo. Some guests might not have the desire to cook in but for us, we used the kitchen like we were at home, cooking a Christmas dinner and many others. So, we were very comfortable and felt pampered. It's very easy to feel like you belong in Key West after just a few days there. Although parking in town is a bit of a nightmare! Really no complaints overall. It was a great stay. One note, however, regarding the facilities at 1800 atlantic in general - not having gas Bbqs in the common area is a real drawback. The rest of the building and grounds are great. The beach is mere steps away. Great nightly sunsets. Highly recommended.

After two months of travelling Vista Fresco was a wonderful place to stay for four nights. The facilities were wonderful, the space amazing and the kitchen well equipped. The staff at Rent Key West Vacations were extremely helpful and accommodating. We would highly recommend staying at Vista Fresco. David, Chris and Peter Hill.

We just got back from our trip to Key West & we couldn't be more pleased! The condo was very nice, packed with everything we could possibly have needed. We were a quick walk to the beach, close to all the parasailing & things there. It was a short, cheap cab ride over to Duval St. & all the shopping. I would highly recommend this condo to everyone! :)

Vista Fresco was great! It had recently been remodeled and was very nicely done. The master shower has double shower heads.
The location is nice, right beside Smathers Beach. Had to take a taxi to Duval Street which is only $10.
The pool area is very nice, overlooks the ocean which is beautiful! The pool water was nice and warm. Plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The only negative to the pool area is that you are not allowed to have cups on the edge of the pool. There are people patrolling and will inform you they must be over by your chair.
Overall, this was a great vacation and a great condo! -

We loved this rental! We had a little communication disconnect with the rental office as to where we were supposed to pick up our keys when we first arrived but once past that snag everything was great! the accomodations were very comfortable. We had a wonderful time its closeness to the beach was great. The pool was wonderful and our son loved it. It had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay. They came and changed the internet service provider and the new provider was a bit less stable but that was a minor inconvenience. The DVD player broke while we were on site but the rental office was quick and easy to replace it quickly.

Condo was nice and quiet. My teenagers actually enjoyed the peaceful pool area compared to the crowded and noisy beaches. Condo was recently renovated and in very good condition. The granite/quartz countertops were nice and the big, flat screen tv was sweet. We had one small issue getting connected to the internet on the wireless network that the owner of the condo called me directly and we worked through with at&T.; The owner even said she would send me a bottle of wine! However, we never received the bottle of wine for some reason...(I think the rental agency failed to deliver it - hope it was good for somebody!).

Exceptionally quiet; well-equipped; wonderful master bath shower. No view except heavy traffic, but only steps from Smathers Beach. Spacious & attractive; clean (except for hall bath mat, which was dirty) and spacious.
Wireless internet never connected. Front door chain lock installed upside down--useless. Doorway light overheats and pops off and on. Television channels were limited altho On Demand was available. Bedroom clocks and battery in kitchen clock, a game or puzzle or two, as well as a decent reading lamp in living room would have been appreciated.
Most of all, local maps and information would have been extremely helpful--nearest grocery, drugstore, medical facility, nearby and/or highly recommended restaurants, recommended entertainment / shopping / activities, etc. -

The apartment was furnished well and was close to the pool and ocean.The only problem was that it was on the road side of the building.I guess I must be a light sleeper but the road noise bothered me when I was on the deck and when I was trying to sleep.I would stay at 1800 atlantic again but would make sure to rent a unit looking over the pool or the ocean.

This condo was newly renovated, spacious and extremely comfortable and quiet. It has a view of the water from the balcony and bedrooms. It would be nice for them to purchase a blow dryer and lounge chairs for the balcony. The beach in front of the condo could use some attention. Overall this is a treasure in Key West.

Right next door is the public Smather's Beach that is often replensihed with sand and groomed everyday. We try to furnish all our places with blow dryers. We stayed here for fantasy fest weekend and right from walking in the door this unit exceeded everyone's expectations. Each room was more than comfortable with high quality decorations and electronical appliances. The masterbathroom shower was inspiring as it could probably fit about 30 people it it. The kitchen was fully equipt for all of our cooking needs, as a result no one spent any money on food at resturants, which really helped everyone's budget. We had a great time. Also the balcony was huge. Would def stay here again!

We stayed at the condo for 7 nights and 8 days. First I have to say that Rent Key West Vacations was excellent to work with. They were very professional and pleasant. The condo was nice but not special and it was just the little things for instance, and in no particular order; the trash had to be taken out in a specific size trash bag that were not in the condo, you couldn't find the silverware without looking in all of the cabinets because this set of drawers was behind a door, the shower in the master bath was a mystery, the TVs were tiny and way across the room. The flooring was terrible, hard to sweep the sand off of. The TV in the bedroom was unwatchable due to it was basically sitting on the floor, so many light switches that they should be labelled and the sliding glass doors didn't lock right, had to use a stick to secure them. The location at 1800 Atlantic was great. Wonderful beach right next door and the pool and hot tub were very nice. Parking was great too. I enjoyed it, in fact we all did but the items I listed were the thing we liked the least. I was told that this condo is going to be updated, that is just what it needs. Oh and a few instructions to help out the "tenant" would be nice too.

Since these guest stayed in this condo it has been sold and the new owners are sparing no expense in creating a classic and comfortable place to stay. Just look at the recent pictures posted on the website and they will tell the story of the luxurious furnishing now placed in the spacious two bedroom condo. The kitchen is also going through a major renovation as I write this! Of course the condo grounds are beautifully kept and the pool is the largest on the island of Key West.

If there wasn't any pool at this condo, we'd never rent it. Unfortunatly, the pool
was broken and it was impossible to use it. We arrived on thurdays and friday,
the pool was broke. We ask to know when it would be repare, they told us it
would be the next monday but when we left on thursday night, the pool was
still broke... This point realy desapoint us.
For the condo, everything was perfect. We enjoyed the place but when we saw
how they took care of the pool problem, we can't say that we would go back
there...
