This condo is located away from Duvall Street which is nice if you are looking for a quite place to go to in the evenings. There are two restaurants within walking distant. The beach is right around the corner and there is a pool in the center of the condos.

My husband, our six month old son, and my mom and father-in-law all stayed in this condo for a week. It was the perfect size for all of us. The rooms very comfortable and the pool and proximity to Smather's Beach makes this a great location for families who want to get away from the loudness of the bars and Duval Street. You can tell the owner has recently upgraded the unit and the views of the ocean were spectacular. My only compliant is that we cook and the kitchen left much to be desired--there were no rubber spatulas, no kitchen apron, no carrot peeler, but we made do. These things seem like cheap and easy upgrades to take full advantage of the great kitchen. Also highly recommend renting a car if you stay here. We found it very helpful for getting around going to the grocery store and driving to the various activities we did--snorkeling, paddleboarding, etc. and getting out of the heat. You will be grateful for airconditioning.
My only other feedback is that it was confusing checking in and you don't have a key to get into the main door of the property so getting to the security office (which is where you have to check in for this property in order to get the key to the unit) is tricky. At Home Key West should provide the number for the security desk with the area code. They gave the number minus the area code and luckily I was let in the door by other vacationers and then looked on a bulletin board to figure out the area code to call the security number.Response from At Home In Key West, Inc. - 06/21/2012

Thank you for taking the time to review our home. We appreciate the feedback about kitchen equipment and the owner has already made sure these basic items are available. For future, a quick call to our office and we would have gladly supplied them during your stay.
Regarding the check-in process, we're a little confused. The Check-in Procedure form you are provided with your Rental Agreement has very specific instructions for retrieving keys. If you arrive during our office hours, keys are at our office. If you arrive when our office is closed, the keys are with the Security office at the condo complex. We don't supply guests with a phone number for Security; there is a phone outside the main door with a code to contact Security who meets you at the door with your keys. The Check-in Procedure form has our 24/7 on-call phone number (including area code) in case you encounter a problem. We're glad to know you did not require it and look forward to a return visit. -

This is an awesome condo with all the amenitites. We loved the space, view and the pool. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It is located away from duvall street so the noise is very minimal and quite relaxing.

The condo itself was great, but the view was fantastic.We spent alot of time on the balcony that wrapped around the whole condo.The amenities were top notch!Literally everything was there for us, right down to the oil of olay bath soap! We definately will return!

Surfside was great! The location for us was perfect. It was far enough from all the noise and close enough for a bike ride to the action if needed. You could walk to Smathers Beach and do anything you wanted like bike, paddle board, sail, kayak, and lay out all within 100 yards of Surfside. The condo itself was great very comfortable and had an absolutely gorgeous view of the ocean. The only thing that I would suggest if with a large group get 3 sets of keys the complex is very tighly secured and makes spliting up a little difficult. Otherwise an absolutely perfect trip and location. loved it!!

The contemporary home was delightful and in a beautiful setting. Getting around the island and finding the places that we needed was a breeze. The service provided by "At Home In Key West" was great. My family and I had a very enjoyable time.

Our 2 night stay was great. We fell in love with the clean, modern lines of the decor and the fact that all rooms had beautiful sea views and access to the wrap around balcony. The apartment was easy to find even in the dark. It is situated far enough from the city center to be quiet, but still close enough to get to the center easily. If you take the hop on, hop off tour, you can get off at the atlantic Boulevard stop and take a short walk home by the end of the day. Parking was relatively easy to find in the city center, at least in November, and the local taxi service was good. The taxi fare was approx 12-14 USD from city center.The apartment has its own parking space in a secure garage, which was nice.
Note that the building itself is relatively old and still in the process of being upgraded, so unrenovated apartments in the same building may be very different.
There are no grocery shops or good restaurants within near walking distance, so for those without a car, this may not be ideal. But for those with a car and in a sightseeing mode, it pretty much is. Slightly pricey, but worth it we felt. A third bathroom would have nice. -

The rental unit was spectacular. The only slight issue was the construction going on at the other wing of the complex. At times the equipment was quite loud if you were at the pool or court yard area.

It was amazing to wake up to the ocean view every day. The condo is perfectly located. Fun activities can be found nearby, but the condo is situated on a nice, quiet street. The amenities in the condo were also great. We will definitely come again.

The condo - absolutely perfect. The realtor? Not so much. Check in was late b/c they did not deliver the keys on time. Had to wait. At check out I put the keys and parking pass under the door of security, & they lost the parking pass. Now I will be charged for it.

As far as check-out, our check-in and check-out paperwork clearly state keys are returned to our office, not to Security at the condo complex. If a key has to be replaced, there is a charge for it. -

This property is gorgeous - spacious, well laid out, well situated between two nice beaches. Wrap around balcony is wonderful, indoor parking very conveneint. We liked being further away from Duval since we were traveling with kids.

Key west is a pretty city with lots and lots of flavor. This condo is situated in a nice neighborhood and is decorated to the t. Everything is new. It is an IKEA showroom. Therein lies the problem. IKEA beds are really nothing more than a futon on a piece of plywood. My back was killing me all week. Replace these with real mattresses and this place would be 5 stars all the time. Will I go back? you bet, just change the bedding and I will sign up for next year.

Hi At Home in Key West,
We came together from as far away as San Francisco and Paris. LOVED our gorgeous condo. Chic, modern and the view was floor to ceiling ocean from every room. Great place to relax, have drinks on the wrap around balcony and let our cares melt away. Took long swims in the enormous pool and rode bikes (rented from nearby Waldorf) all over the island. See you again soon!
