PhiladelphiaPerfect KW Cottage and Location
Left on 02/07/2013 for a stay in January 2013
Stayed here for two weeks while attending a meeting in Key West It was a perfect little cottage in a grouping of cottages with a shared pool, laundry and beautiful gardens. Our unit had a little private internal courtyard for outdoor dining. It was very near Duval but it was very quiet, and an easy walk or bike ride to everywhere in Key West. I would certainly book it again. The pillow cushions were a bit tired and some of the pots and pans needed to be replaced, but otherwise it was great, and just a few blocks from the grocery store. You do not need a car to see all of Old KW from this spot, even on foot.

Ann Street Cottage is a delightful place, my wife and I stayed during Thanksgiving week. The location is perfect, we parked our car on Sunday and picked it up the next Sunday, walked everywhere. It is a little oasis in the middle of old town, we will plan another vacation at ann Street Cottage.

Left on 08/01/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The location is excellently placed in Key West. My girlfriend and I were never more than a 15 minute walk to anything that we needed and the kitchen had many of the things we needed to cook a good meal when we felt like hermits.
The building is small but perfect for a family of three (assuming the kid is less than 12 years old). And almost no bugs save for one ant that I smushed.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and definitely plan on future stays at the anne Street Cottage! -

Left on 07/23/2012 for a stay in July 2012
My 18 year old daughter and I stayed at ann's cottage for a week. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a wonderful location first and foremost. We were surprised how quiet it was and how well we slept considering we were so close to Duvall Street. There was a large king bed which was very comfortable for 2 people who aren't used to sleeping in the same bed :) One thing we did was move the curtain rod from the family room to the patio door which had access to a private patio. This was easy to do, but I think they should add a curtain in that room for those who want to sleep in. Everything has a well worn feel. This is not a luxurious cottage, but honestly helped us feel like we were locals for a week. I would be even happier if they would update the family room, dining room and kitchen. It was great having 2 bathrooms, only one shower but that was fine. We went to the local grocery store and brought groceries back for breakfast and lunch. I am hoping to stay here again, hopefully can go next time with my husband. In addition I want to say that the people I dealt with from Key West Vacations were extremely professional and warm and welcoming. I recommend bringing good walking shes and also renting bikes for the week. We pretty much covered the whole island!

This was our fourth trip to Key West and our third to the ann St. cottages. This is a very nice unit but could use a little updating. The couches probably need to be upgraded as well as the TV. The bedroom could use a TV as well. We very much enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning.

Richmond, VAIncredible Location
Left on 06/01/2012 for a stay in May 2012
The location could not be more convenient - we could walk everywhere. I like things plush and this is definitely just basic decor, linens, etc., however the amazing location made us not even notice. Despite being less than a block from "all the action", it was quiet and peaceful and we never heard any noise at all.
As others have stated, the shower stall could definitely be improved as water gets everywhere, but this didn't even matter. Having a 2nd half-bath is an added plus. The a/c works great, and the cottage has everything you need.
Rent Key West was great to deal with too. This was a fabulous vacation & we were so glad we weren't in a generic hotel room somewhere. When/if we return to Key West, we definitely hope ann Street Cottage will be available again! -

Left on 05/03/2012 for a stay in April 2012
This cottage was a real gem, right near Duval and everything we wanted to see. It was quiet, full of natural sunlight, and opened into a garden area with a pool that was so peaceful. Shower was great, kitchen had everything we could want for food prep, and the bed was just right. We also had an occasional visitor, a small cat, who was a delightful host. No need for a car at this location if you rent bikes or like to walk.

Rent Key West Vacations provided excellent service during our stay at ann Street Cottage in the heart of Key West. This is the second time we've utilized their services, and they've been very responsive and helpful. The cottage was perfect for our needs - clean, comfortable, cozy, quiet. The location was perfect - one block off Duval Street near Mallory Square, yet very private. It was very nice being in a compound with only six cottages with a pool, and all the amenities of home. It was perfect for needs.

This is a little gem one street off Duval and just a few from the harbor. While some of the decor is dated, that doesn't detract from its comfort and amenities. It's roomy, has a private outdoor patio, wifi, and pretty good kitchen. The pool to the cottages is not heated, FYI. We enjoyed the stay and would book it again.

Very conviently located close to Duval Street restaurants, shops, bars and sunset festivities; yet very quiet and private. Nice for walks in every direction from the tourist attractions to charming residential streets of Old Town.
Decor and furnishings could use updating and upgrading including bed linens; lacking in panach, but clean and serviceable. Unrealized potential!
Would have enjoyed plants on private terrace and better maintained pool and gardens with outdoor seating near unit.
No off street parking.

This little cottage is so close to everything but tucked away in a peaceful little courtyard so you don't hear a thing. It is well equipped with two bathrooms and everything you need for a kitchen. Lots of linens and a pullout couch that is functional. The only part to be warned is the floors are not cleaned regularly and hopefully this review will get them to work on that. Wear flipflops at all times, trust me. The rest was very clean.

The agency which handled my reservations was easy to work with. The home was a nice size, clean and equiped with almost anything one needs (no outdoor grill). The furnishings could use some updating. The pool was not heated and very shaded so we weren't able to swim. It was on a very quiet street even though it was close to the action.

Our stay at anns Cottages was very nice. We liked how it was within walking distance of everything. It was clean and very well equipped with everything from kitchen stuff to beach towels, beach umbrella, even chairs to take with you. The walkin closet was nice to have for all our clothes that needed to be hung. The bed was very comfortable. The noise level from Duval St. wasn't a problem and didn't interrupt our sleep. It was just really nice. Having a washer and dryer there was very helpful as well, since we stayed for a week.

My husband and I recently stayed in the ann Street Cottage on our vacation. The accommodations were fantastic! I read the reviews prior to our reservations so we had an idea of what the property had to offer. What we found was an adorable cottage that had a comfortable bed, a fantastic shower and all the amenities you need for a great vacation! The location alone is worth the stay!! My husband and I have been to Key West multiple times and we will definitely stay here upon our return visits!!
And a thing to note...parking is not a problem at all if you have a rental car. the parking lot at Simonton and Green will give you a weekly rate for parking. Just tell them you are staying at the ann Street Compound. -

The ann Cottage was perfect for us for a four day stay on a busy holiday weekend. It is only a street back from Duvall Street with all its noise and yet we could not hear any bands at all. The aC & fans worked fantastically to keep the cottage cool. We had the pool to ourselves and used the laundry too. The only negatives were that we had some small ants in the bathroom and the bathroom windows do not shut all the way. We loved our stay at the ann Cottage and would return.

Awesome location. Kitchen and baths were nice but the living room could use some updating.Maybe a more comfy couch and a loveseat instead of the chairs so 2 people could stretch out instead of just one.A/C was not working when we arrived Saturday, called and no one showed up for 2 days which wasn't that big a deal since temps were mild but if it had been hot out it would have been a problem. We would stay there again mostly because of the location.

Location was superb; In walking distance of almost every attraction. The unit was clean and airy with many amenities. The mattress needs to be replaced and we were not aware that the unit was joined with another unit. However, during our stay, there were no problems. We enjoyed the unit and the compound offered lush greenery and a shared pool which was hardly utilized by the other renters. We were able to make a deal with an adjacent parking lot, so we had no problems with parking. We would stay again and recommend the compund to others.

Left on 04/06/2011 for a stay in March 2011
When I first started looking at hotels and motels in Key West for my upcoming trip I was really bummed by the choices. Everything looked a little dated and was covered in pastels. Not that there is anything wrong with pastels ;-) So I decided to look into the rental properties and that is how I found ann Street. And it was the best thing I ever did! The cottage is one street over from Duval so chaos is right around the corner, but so is a respite from it all. The place was adorable with just enough room for my friend and I to hang out in and not feel like we were crowding each other. The full kitchen was key (we made some dinners and lunches) as well as the laundry (cuts down on packing) in the compund and the very cute secluded and often times empty pool area. The place provided everything you needed to feel like you truly had a home base. I would defiantely go back there and I am am eager to try some of the other houses tucked away as well. The rental agent was super nice at check in and really helpful. Joyce provided me with a map, and discount passes and a few local tips as well.

Left on 12/12/2010 for a stay in November 2010
Ann Street Cottage is a small quiet garden haven in the best possible location. It is just a few blocks from Mallory Square, Duvall Street, the wharf area, and many fine restaurants.
There is a shared pool area as well as a washer and dryer for those staying in the compound. We enjoyed returning to the vegetation and the peace of the cottage after the excitement of Key West touring.
This is not a place where you would want to have a car, as there is no parking space provided and the street parking is spotty. This is why the location, within walking distance to so many attractions, is perfect. -

Very nice location and very nice quiet place. The cottage was not very clean and had ants in the kitchen and in the master bathroom on the counter and in the shower. The bed has wheels and moves across the floor when getting in and out of bed and there is a huge sink hole on one side of the bed. Only 5 parking spots in front of the house and you have to fight to get them, there is parking down the street a block or 2. Other then that it was very close to Duval street and easy access to everything. I would stay again.

Left on 10/28/2010 for a stay in October 2010
I had rented this property previously, many years ago, and remembered it fondly.
Arriving late on Saturday, 10/9/10, we picked up our keys at Rent Key West on Duval Street. The unit and grounds were as I remembered it. Our only early difficulty was in figuring out how to operate the TV, there were no directions to be found. When I finally determined that it was controlled by the DVR, we were able to use it, though it seemed that someone had tampered with the sound, turned up all the way it was barely audible.
We had a problem with many tiny ants on the vanity in the master bathroom and on the kitchen counters. When notified, Rent Key West promptly sent someone to spray the affected areas.
Hurricane Paula was over the Yucatan peninsula while we were in Key West, which caused tremendous thunderstorms throughout the middle of the week. During one storm we lost power in the unit. When power returned, it was clear that a couple of circuit breakers had tripped. I was unable to find the breaker panel, and RKW had to send someone out to locate it. He finally found it, concealed by a metallic wall hanging in the master bedroom.
Despite those problems (and the everpresent maddening parking situation), we enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay there again. Ann Street's convenience to Mallory Square and Duval Street means that you can walk to all the popular attractions and shopping, which is the prime advantage of this property. -

We loved our place--fantastic location yet quiet and secluded feeling; good a/C, great little pool, so close to Old Town, full kitchen (with spices and cooking oil etc even!); easy in and out. There's even 4 or 5 free parking spots right out front, if you can snag one.
Only drawbacks: a) had a communication snafu when setting it up and we had to pay for one more night than the price originally quoted, and
b) the bed had a large sag in one spot--although it was King size so we just moved over to avoid it. -

Left on 03/10/2010 for a stay in March 2010
Ann Street Cottage is conveniently locate just one block off Duval Street, providing easy access to all the acticities there and on Mallory square and the Seaport. This could be a problem for any light- sleepers, since we could hear music from Duval street late into the night. It didn't disturb us, but some peolle might find it annoying. The cottage was somewhat Spartan but comfortable. The kitchen was pretty well stocked.
The surrounding grounds, including the pool area, were lovely with lush tropical gardens all around.
A few minor problems: (1) I called to have some light bulbs replaced in lights that were way up at the top of the cathedral ceiling where a ladder would be required. It never happened. (2) The main gate on Ann Street is in bad repair and was difficult to open and close. All in all, I would recommend this cottage. -

We spent a week @ Ann Street Cottage and were pretty much delighted with the whole experience.
First of all, Rent Key West is a top notch organization. We were driving down from Miami when our arrival was delayed by a traffic accident on Rte 1. Someone stayed in the office after hours to make sure we got the key and give us all the information we needed to move in without hassle. Much appreciated.
Next, the house is EXACTLY as pictured. We've stayed in other properties where the photos on the web were downright deceiving. True, the house could use some updating in the decor department (and the dishwasher, while it does the job does it so loudly you'd think a 747 is landing in the kitchen) but it was immaculately clean. Much appreciated again. One small criticism, it would be nice to have a lounge chair in the private courtyard.
The grounds are absolutely lovely with beautiful tropical plantings and a charming resident cat named Minnie. Alas the pool is not heated and, because all of the country was in the grip of a huge cold snap, therefore unusable. Nobody is that hearty. But the outdoor furniture was attractive and the pool is in the sun for a good part of the day.
I've saved the best for last. The location is OUTSTANDING! Half a block from Smokey Joe's and the hustle and bustle on Duval, three blocks from Fausto's Food Palace (a great grocery store with gourmet to go, wine and beer). EVERYTHING you would want to do or see is within easy walking distance. Yet, while the party goes on all night on Duval, Ann Street is just far enough away to remain peaceful and serene.
We'd love to stay here again!

Most if not all of the furniture seemed very dated, no curtain in the bedroom, A/C did not cool the bedroom, shower design allows water on floor degrading wood, tile, and creates a slip and fall hazard.

We came to Key West to get married and needed a nice place to relax for a week before we were joined by our guests. Anne Street Cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful grounds and pool. It has a small private center patio inside the cottage that made a nice place to eat dinner of breakfast if we wanted to eat in. Kitchen was stocked with everything we might need to cook. We had total privacy and felt like we had our own home to escape the crowds if we wanted yet were close enough to just hop around the bars and restaurants in seconds from the front door. We were asked several times by people walking by "what's it like in there" because it looks so tranquil and hidden inside the gate.

I was very excited to stay at the Ann Street Cottage. I do have to say that the grounds are beautiful, and you can't beat the location. Unfortunately, I was hoping that my husband and I could eat in the cottage for some meals. To be honest, I wouldn't even make coffee. I was extremly disappointed with the lack of cleaniness. I do believe the Ann Street Cottage has a lot of potential, but without some updates/upgrades and thorough cleaning I would not recommend this home.

Ann's St. Cottage is located behind Sloppy Joe's and is always our last stop before retiring each evening.
This place is truely like our home away from home. Air conditioning, full kitchen, total privacy and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in!!
Although we were hoping to swim at least once during our February vacation, the pool is always too cold. I know a pool heater is very expensive but a pool cover would be a quick fix to the problem.
We have stayed at this condo for 2 years in a row but seems the owners have no intent on upgrading or fixing things which were broken 2 yrs in a row. We loved the location, the privacy and the property and would love to hear if any of the items we listed on our check out were fixed. -

The Ann Street "compound" consists of several little houses/cottages set around a beautiful swimming pool, completely hidden in a lush tangle of tropical foliage. From the street, you have no idea it's really even there. All you see is a lovely, white picket fence and a gate. When you enter the gate, you follow a winding path through the flowers and trees to the door of the most enchanting little house in the world. Everything about it, including the beautiful patio, says "Key West." Living in the compound are full time residents as well as vacationers. The people who live there are friendly, fun, and wonderful. You are literally a half block from Duval, about 5 blocks from Mallory Square, and 2 blocks from a very cute little beach. But it's as quiet and peaceful as can be, as though you were blocks away from the action. I have stayed at the Ann Street Cottages 6 or 7 times over the last few years, for up to a month at a stretch. It's like a second home to me. I love it so much that I almost hate to let my little "secret" out to the world! If you have the chance to stay there, you will dream of going back for the rest of your life.

My husband and I stayed at the ann street cottage. It is a nice cozy house. Nice size bedroom, and a equipped kitchen to make your own dinners. We went shopping for groceries and made a nice dinner every night--saved a ton on eating out. The cottage was quiet, and clean--there is also a nice private outdoor back patio area. There is also a nice community pool. Only drawback was that the tv was very little, however when you are on vacation the last thing you should be doing is watching tv.
