      Great Week

Although the condo was a little farther down Duval than what I had originally thought, it was a minor inconvenience. The condo was very clean and had plenty of room for our 5 adults. Rent KW was also very helpful with providing extra sets of keys and the late check-in that we needed.

Very nice condo, comfortable, nicely furnished.

Left on 09/12/2012 for a stay in September 2012

The 3 bedroom condo I stayed in is nicely furnished and quiet, except for the roosters in the early morning! But even the roosters added to the charm of Duval Square. The 2 balconies overlook the pretty square with lots of trees, plants, restaurants, and quiet foot traffic. The only reason I rated this rental 4 stars instead of 5 is because the pool deck area is in desperate need of repair. The guests had to navigate around a deck area covered by a tarp held town with 2x4's and pots of sand. The potted plants and trees at the pool are mostly dead or dying, the restroom is in poor condition and the guests had to supply toilet paper and paper towels. This area was surprisingly tacky compared to the beautiful condos.

Comfortable surroundings on the quieter end of Duval Street

Left on 09/12/2012 for a stay in September 2012

Comfortable surroundings with super restaurants in the square. Key West Vacations management was very helpful and accommodating.

Our Condo was neat and clean. Only one concern about the condo -- water conservation in the Keys is vital. The guest toilet ran most of the time...wasting water.

The pool area was in disarray. The tables and chairs under the covered area were old and broken. There was never any toilet tissue in the rest room...we had to supply it from our condo.

A memorable trip to the Keys.

Left on 07/06/2012 for a stay in June 2012

Initial impressive opinion of #31, great room layout, comfort of home.
I loved the built in washer and dryer. Appreciated having simple things like soap, and coffee. We meant to tell company renting this unit that a previous renter left some gum stuck under kitchen table and in liv. room and bedroom, one window blind was missing the handle to open them.
Some springs are missing from pullout sofa, so that became a slide.
The roosters disturbed our sleep everyday. A guest in some room #7, paid us an unexpected late night visit and scarred us. Apparently he was either drunk or a very stupid sober person who decided to scale the exterior door, and climb up the wall and he tried to enter our unit while we were there. He did not identify himself, however he did yell at us asking if this was unit #31, numerous times while continually trying to use a key he had to open the door. He had no regard for our concerns for safety and had no consideration that he may be causing us to be very scared. Husband called 911, all of us were scared including 2 kids, wife got video camera hoping to capture this person to help identify him to the police and she witnessed him crawling over the wall by the outdoor garbage cans located at the top of the stairs, and he jumped down to join his other rude friends. Police caught up with this individual and his friends and a report was made. What I liked best was the location, least the drunk we refer to as Spiderman and roosters.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Duval Square Courtyard Condo

Left on 06/27/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We found the Duval Square Courtyard Condo through the Rent Key West website. Securing the property was a snap. Laura was very helpful with all our questions regarding the condo and the area in general. It is also nice that the rental staff is located across the courtyard and available for any concerns you may have.

As for this second-level, the stairs were easily maneuvered and lead to a large foyer area. The condo itself provided very comfortable accommodations for our group of seven. There was plenty of space to gather and enjoy each other's company with a meal indoors or enjoy quiet time with a cup of coffee or iced beverage on either of the balconies overlooking Duval Square Courtyard. The kitchen was roomy and equipped with enough kitchen "gear” for our needs. The bathrooms were very clean and nicely decorated, especially the master bath. We have no complaints with any of the beds, though the sofa bed could use a new "more substantial” mattress. There was adequate hot water and cool air conditioning.

If needed, parking was close and secure and I also want to mention the rooftop pool and the adjacent shaded breezeway. That was another of our favorite ways to spend the afternoon "resting.”

Yes, the location of this condo is on the "quieter” end of Duval, but within walking distance of most "happenings” of the area. We had no trouble with traffic or late night pedestrian noise. Hearing a rooster crow the first morning there was interesting, but we grew to love the local "gypsy” chickens and resident parrots.

Close in places to snack...special mention goes to the Flamingo Crossing ice cream shop and Bad Boy Burritos.

In summary, we had a great time in Key West and would highly recommend the Duval Square Courtyard Condo.

Nice unit, management very friendly. We were on Motorcycles and really liked the parking garage. Staff hooked up water hose for us to wash them. Unit was clean, nice kitchen. Bathrooms were clean. Had a little problem with the door locking to the balcony. All in all a great stay and would stay there again.

Steve was great - very friendly and got us plenty of keys.

The condo is nicely decorated and in a great location. We didn't utilize the washer/dryer this time but have in the past.

One minor issue. It wasn't stocked with enough toilet paper. There was only enough to last us two days and the Circle K was out. Maybe we should have called you?

We start all our rentals with 2 rolls of paper per bathroom. If you check in and do not find this to be the case, please let us know and we will replace it. If there are 2 rolls and you use them then it's your resposibility to get more. There's also a CVS just around the corner will plenty of paper products.

      Great Place

Left on 10/26/2011 for a stay in October 2011

The condo was great. It was very clean upon arrival. It was right on Duval St, however, it was at the other end and a good walk away from most of the bars and restaurants. One of the main drawbacks to this property was the aweful blower that started around 7am several mornings. A gentleman was cleaning the sidewalks around the condo and due to the paper-thin walls, we felt as if he was coming through the house with his equipment. Overall, we did have a great time and the condo was wonderful!

A great family vacation but we would not rent this condo again.

Left on 08/24/2011 for a stay in August 2011

The condo is a bit old and cluttered and appears to suffer from a lack of maintenance/updating; the kitchen did not have enough utensils and pots/pans; the air conditioning did not work well, and when they changed the filter it was apparent from its condition that this had not been done for quite some time. Most of the lounge chairs at the pool were broken and the pool bathroom was very dirty and w/out toilet paper. For $2500 per week you can do much better in key west. It is a good location close to Duval and souternmost beach, but far from the marina and central downtown areas.

Great first trip to Key West

Left on 05/25/2011 for a stay in May 2011

My 3 "teenagers" are actually yound 20's. The condo was excellent. Everything clean and in good working order. Very comfortable. Well appointed, with all the basics and then some. Located just a few steps off of Duval St. We spent the entire week without getting into an automobile! We walked and biked all over the island. This alone gave the trip a great "getting away" vibe. The closest thing I can come to a gripe: The aC in the "great room" area of the condo could use some adjustment. It was unusually warm in KW (close to 90 at mid-day) and that area got a little warm. The rest of the condo did fine. All in all, we were very satisfied and had a great time. The folks at Rkwv were great. They offerred great ideas whenever we asked questions about island activities, and we were never disappointed in their suggestions.

We'll be back...you can't beat the location or the security.

Left on 11/09/2010 for a stay in November 2010

First off, the Key West Rental staff, which manages the property, is great and is located right across the courtyard in case you need their assistance.

We are Duval Square veterans and have actually stayed in this condo before - when it was only 2 bedrooms. They have since renovated it into a three bedroom property, which made it perfect for my group. Ds is a great location for us since it is located midway between the Casa Marina and Old Town, and we were there for the Parrothead convention. The bathrooms were recently renovated, and the towels were newer which was nice, but the tile floors in the living area were really dirty when we arrived (as evidenced by my friend's formerly white socks) and the kitchen and much of the kitchenware were really worn and can use some replacing / renovation. The other two bedrooms were fine, but the queen mattress should be replaced (it slopes to the middle from each side), and the floor covering in the living room (bamboo rug?) was really hard on bare feet. We also miss the porch swing and the hot tub, but survived fine without them. And we were able to pick up free wireless which was a big plus. All in all, a great secure location and good value for a week's stay in KW.

I stayed with 6 other girls and this condo was perfect! The location was just a short cab or bike ride from downtown. We even walked it a few times. The staff was wonderful and laid back. The only minor issue we had was the shower head came off in the master bedroom. Otherwise, the place was very clean and all of the beds were comfortable-even the couch. I will definately be staying there again!

      Obliging staff, great location, spacious

Left on 05/27/2010 for a stay in May 2010

The rental staff was very accommodating. Condo is convenient to everything, it's comfortable and spacious; however, the floors were very dirty (maybe they were just swept but definitely needs scrubbing); kitchen is in need of a very good cleaning especially the cabinets and drawers, some cooking pans were rusty, needs some baking dishes, silverware was bent, glasses chipped and please fix that trash drawer or get rid of it. Given the rental cost I really do think some of these items need to be replaced. The front porch was comfortable but also in need of cleaning or painting. I gave a 4 for comfort because of poor air con circulation in the living room area and hall bathroom. I didn't care for smelling cigars from the store located underneath, but it is tolerable.

Ok, but not worth the money!!

Left on 05/06/2010 for a stay in April 2010

Duval Square Courtyard Condo shows very nice on the internet. There were some small maintenance issues that made this place less enjoyable than our other experiences in this same area. Shower doors, poor water preasure, trash drawer opening and closing...If it sounds like I'm being picky...I am, because our other experiences have been worth the money. This place was a little pricey (3 bedrooms)...To me they need to go and and give it a once over and some updates. We love Key West and renting from Brad at RentKeyWest.com, but I will certainly read the reviews better next time.

We traveled to Key West for Spring Break with our three children and two friends - five kids. The condo was very spacious with room for all and the Master Bedroom was separated with a private balcony so my husband and I could retreat when necessary. The location was great - on Duval Street close to all the action but not near all the bars and louder tourists. We could walk to Mallory Square on one end and to the beaches at the other end. There were a lot of minor maintenance issues but as one other reviewer has said - sort of like being at home. We enjoyed a great week at the condo and at Key West. We would stay here again.+

We stayed here with our three boys and had a wonderful time. The condo is very spacious and very nicely decorated for a rental (Asian-theme). The roosters were well behaved and the noise level was fine. The staff at rentkw were great and gave us some really good trip recommendations. We would definetly stay here again-but (and this is a small thing) please, please paint the master bedroom a nicer color-it's a yucky yellowish/greenish color and just does not fit in with the rest of the decor.

This property is noisy and tired

Left on 01/21/2010 for a stay in January 2010

The only thing I liked about the property is that it had enough room for the four of us to stay during the coldest week ever in Key West.
The good thing about the location is because it is on Duval St. Close to shops and restaurants.
The condo is situated above a cigar shop and restaurants next door. Exhaust fans blow night and day and bright lights seep through every window blind. It is true the roosters crow night and day, we finally got used to that.
The pictures from the internet must be very outdated. The condo looks used, run down and the wall decor outdated. The silk flowers need to go. The paint on both front and back patio was dirty.
I have traveled many places but I never got the feeling I did staying here...I felt I got ripped off. I expected a lot more for $466.00 per night.

The agents at rent key west were very accomidating
The condo was comfortable and spacious with all ammentities needed for vacation.
The location is ideal for the island, right on Duvall but at the quieter end and forced us to walk. Great exercise.
Every morning at 7am the grounds people would stat a leaf blower below the condo to clean the area. I prefer sleeping in when on vacation and found this extremly annoying. There was also a rooster under the window at 4:10am. I expect this in Key West.
The fire alarm was malfunctioning and would scream at night. Thank god we were with firefighters who could fix the problem.(a vaccum to the thing once and a while would work)
Over all nothing can ruin a trip to Key West. The place is Paradise.

There were several restaurants in the courtyard, which was great if you didn't feel like going out or just grabing lunch. WE could walk to everything. We did rent a mopad for a day. That was fun. I also highly recommend the 2 hour jet ski tour around the island. That toped our list of fun. You have to go to Slopy Joes. They had the best band. WE also enjoyed Dantes pool and restaurant/bar. We stayed a week and I am ready to go back.

Left on 06/18/2009 for a stay in September 2008

When we arrived in Key West we were so excited to be staying right on Duval St. The previous Key West vacations we had all taken had been with other people at other times and stayed at various locations...from over on Airport Drive to the Truman Annex, to various hotels, but never right on Duval. What a great experience (other than the fact that we were evacuated for Hurrican Ike). We were able to get most of our vacation in before the evacuation order, but luckily we did get the Travel Insurance, and were refunded the money for our inconveniences. The condo not only was in a great location, we were pleased with the size as well. We did not feel as if we were on top of each other, and each couple had adequate privacy. The decor was pretty up-to-date and taseful. The kitchen was well equipped...can't think of anything we needed that we didn't have. We also felt very comfortable with the cleanliness. The housekeeping team did a great job. We highly recommend the The Courtyard Condo at Duval Square, and we definately recommend a trip to Key West!
