Left on 04/15/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Historic Hideaways is a fantastic company to deal with. The ease of the entire process was wonderful. Our stay at the ann Street Gardens was wonderful. We could not have found a better location...one block off of Duval, yet very quiet and peaceful. The cottage was very comfortable and very clean and the fact we had a parking spot right at the front door was an extra advantage. We loved our stay there!!!

Reserving and checking in went as expected. The renter was friendly and efficient. We liked the home for the most part, but we did feel like poor cousins compared to our friends who stayed at ann Street Tranquility in the same complex. They had a bathroom and kitchen with updated and lovely finishes, including a dishwasher and washer/dryer within the unit. Our washer/dryer was located outside and therefore accessible to the complex. We couldn't count on having access when we needed it and yet were required to leave clean towels. Then, the dryer didn't work.
The location was wonderful and the best part.It was a short walk to Mallory Square and Duval Street. The pool area was a nice retreat, but the overgrown plantings along the fence kept it from being a truly beautiful area.If this area was groomed, it would open up a more comfortable seating area at the pool and a stunning view.

Came, saw, conquered, and loved!! More than words this little slice of heaven made our trip and our honeymoon. From the friendliness of the staff, to the cleanliness of the villa, everything was amazing- and beat expectations. We will for sure be back, as Chicagoins turned Keywesterners for life!

Gainesville, FloridaWonderful little cottage close to Duval
Left on 08/20/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Recently, my husband and I stayed at the 213 ann Street Gardens Cottage. This was our second stay at this location. This property is a small one bedroom , one bathroom cottage with w small, but full kitchen. We consider this our little hideaway in the Keys. The property shares a small pool with a couple of other houses, & is perfect for cooling off after walking around Key West in august. There are flat screen tv's with dvd players in both the living room & bedroom. There is also a nice size private deck with a grill for use. A parking space is also included with the property - this is a huge deal as parking is hard to come by & expensive in Key West. We love this place & will definitely be back. The only drawback that I can think of is that a new bar opened just down the street in the last year and a half since we were in Key West last. The space used to house a cigar factory / shop. Someone who works at the new bar, rides a motorcycle and I was woken up almost every night at 3:30am when they started it up to go home. That being said, the place might not be in business by the next time we visit.

Sean and I spent our honeymoon in the ann st gardens cottage in June, 2012. It was everything we could have asked for: a great location, clean and well lit, quiet and romantic, and even the pool was wonderful. Thank you so much! I hope someday we'll make it back!

Great location. In walking distance to almost everything. Cozy cottage and surprisingly quiet except for early morning trash pickup (to be expected in the location). Pool area nice but a little overcrowded with furniture. Cotton sheets would be nice instead of the microfiber currently used and pillows really need replacing.

Left on 11/12/2010 for a stay in October 2010
My husband & I have been coming to Key West about once a year for the last 16 years. We generally stay in bed & breakfasts and this was the first time we have rented a cottage. We are now kicking ourselves for not looking into this sooner! The cottage at ann Street Gardens was perfect for the 2 of us. Comfortable bed, 2 tv's, comfortable sitting area, small but fully equipped kitchen, and a pool out back. In the cottage, you felt as if you were in a selcuded hideaway & if we wanted noise & bustle, we just walked a block to Duval Street, would make a left & go sit at the Tree Bar at Rick's complex to have a cocktail & people watch. We will definitely be back!

Having stayed in the "area" before, liked the idea of the patio opening out to the pool area. This turned out to be the best idea ever. Although the pool is not heated, sunning by the pool for hours each day was very convenient. Unfortunatly the extremely cool winter took us by suprise in the Keys, never wore my shorts, but the house had a REAL furnace....what a life saver...It was literaly freezing in the evenings, so glad to have HEAT.
Happened to run into friends also on vacation, had a Valentine/indy 500 party....3 couples, dinner moved inside, plenty of room....never could have pulled that off at the other homes we rented.
Have no complaints, no problems, really is a home away from home............GREAT LOCATION!! -

We stayed here for our anniversary weekend and
absolutely loved this place. The location can't be
beat and the property is lovely. We were very
comfortable here and would definitely book the Ann
Street Gardens location again. We left on the Key
West Express and Historic Hideaways was more than
willing to accommodate a late check out. Only
problem: no extra toilet paper and only a little bit
left on the roll! -

The Ann Street Gardens property is the perfect spot for a get away. The location
can't be beat--a half block from the heart of Duval. The back of the property is just
beautiful...a nice, quiet pool and lush, tropical landscaping. The kitchen is small, but
well equipped. The house was very clean ( and I have high standards ), comfortable,
and nicely furnished, including two flat screens. My husband and I were very pleased
and will definitely stay there again if we go back to Key West. -

Ann St.A wonderful place to stay but too noisy at night after the bars
Left on 01/22/2010 for a stay in December 2009
The only complaint I have in regard to staying on Ann St. is that around 4:00am most mornings we were awakened by the noise in the parking lot across the street. There was also the vibration from the music being played on Duvall finding it's way into the bed at other various hours of the night. That is the only reason we decided to move a block further East away from Duvall. (We will be staying on Whitmarsh Lane for the week of Easter.)The cottage had everything we were looking for in a vacation rental except quiet time throughout the night to sleep.

What a great place to stay. The home itself is comfortable and wonderfully stocked with everything you need to have a true home away from home. The gardens and pool are perfectly maintained and could not be more relaxing. Add to this am amazing location just 2 blocks from Duval street and a few blocks to the waterfront and you have my perfect place.

Location, Location, Location: One block from Duval Streets north end, three blocks to Mallory Square, The Westin,The Hyatt and Pier House, Historic Seaport Boadwalk, multiple wonderfull musuems. No need for any form of city transportation. The best of Key West is 10 minutes(at most)away by foot..even a beautiful public beach at the end of Simenton, two well equiped grocery stores and a wonderfully restored movie theater. The problem is only that the Anne street cottage is so cozy and comfortable that we never wanted to leave, except to enjoy the pool and tropical gardens out the back door. Also Historic Hideways is first class in dealing with them.
