Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Close to wonderful restaurants and beach area. The one draw back is a patio door that does not lock. This needs to be addressed. I read about this in other reviews and then understood fully when I got there. Pool is okay but needed closer maintenance.

We recently stayed at this lovely home. It was well kept. The layout and location was great, just 3-4 minute walk to South Beach (which some in our party did every am). We were within walking distance to many great attractions. Everything worked well. The only issues were:
1. Not much in kitchen...(no salt, pepper, foil) many items that rentals we've been to in the past have had.
2. No instructions on the aV equipment. The DVR was not hooked up and the Cable TV had no station guide.
3. The WiFi worked well for the first 1-2 days but after that was pretty spotty so do not depend on having it.
4. The hot water was set on "scalding" and could easily have injured someone who was not cautious with it, especially children.
The pool was very nice, very private. The fans throughout were fantastic and the Hvac worked fine.
The place was well appointed and furnished.
I would certainly recommend a stay at the island oasis if staying in Key West and if we went back I would probably rent this home again.

Family of 5 staying in this 2 bed house. The house itself was all that we could ask for. The description was accurate and office was exceptionally helpful. Provided us with an additional rollaway bed. Key drop off outside office Maid service changed towels and linen every day although they did not clean. In general the property was well maintained but patio doors had seen better days. Kitchen had great facilities, coffee maker, kettle, fridge and cooker. Toaster had seen better days. Made good use of washing machine/dryer. Washing up liquid/dishwasher power available but may have been left by previous guests. We left whatever we didn't use. Ideal location minutes from Duval Street, walking distance to Hemmingway's House and Lighthouse. Many local restaurants to choose from, Pappa John's Pizza, Sushi or high end dining. Pharmacy nearby plus corner shop. Lattitudes for the beautiful setting and interesting menu. Biggest disappointment was Blue Heaven. On second attempt put our name down for a table of 4 - told the wait would be 45 minutes. Went back to get our table only to be told another 45 minutes. Went to the bar for a drink. After another hour and 15 finally got our table (total wait 1 hour 45 mins). Waiter arrived and proceeded to tell us about the menu which was basic - we'd had 2 hours to digest it so we knew it inside out! Asked him how long before food arrived. If an hour then we wouldn't wait. He got umbridge and called his manager to deal with us. Waiter came back to take our order. Ordered simple omelette with mushrooms - sorry no mushrooms! We were told that they serve 800 guests daily so surely they should have quantities of everything that they offer. Waste of our last day in Key West! Best thing was the live music! Also avoid Fire Fly - Biscuits and Gravy looked like vomit on a plate! Disgusting!
Great house with a great backyard and pool to enjoy!

Wonderful stay at the Island Oasis. Key West Vacation Rentals did a great job hosting us. For the price, this was an excellent alternative to a hotel. I will definitely use this company again to plan a Key West vacation.

We stayed at Island Oasis for Labor Day weekend 2008. The location is perfect! The house was EXTREMELY clean & well kept, furnishings & decor modern, the private pool is perfect, the rental agency was fabulous (helpful & friendly). We would definitely stay here again & recommend it for a Key West visit.

Loved the house and the location. The sliding doors did not lock well. One
screw driver would be all that is needed to break into the house. There was
1/4 inch gap between the large sliding doors. There were notes throughout
the house about theft and security.
Once we returned home, we were charged for a missing queen sized
comforter on the main bed. It took us quite some time to convince them
that we did not travel to KW for a vacation to steal a comforter. If we could
afford to eat out, travel to and from KW, and stay at their house for 1
week.....we could certainly afford to get out own $150 comforter! The
people really gave us a hard time and could not believe that any other the
cleaning staff or maintenance staff would take the bedding.
Because of our excitement, we took pics throughout the house when we
arrived and it was a good thing we did, they later proved that the comforter
in question was not there when we arrived like housekeep swore it was. The
rental agency put me on a 3 way conference call, myself, the agency and
housekeeping because the agency would not believe me! I wondered why all
there were those signs through out the house for "safety and security", now
I know. They have had this problem before. They did finally credit my card
but man was I hot!
Also the pool filter did not work. It appeared to have floating bird or frog
'turds' in the pool. We called to get someone to come look at it. They just
came and skimmed the pool. We had been skimming the pool so it really
wasn't much service for maintenance either! Did not enjoy the pool.
We will not use this company again for a rental company. We will back to
KW but we'll stay in a hotel.

We only stayed one night but the location was very nice. The accommodations were wonderful for our party of 6. The pool was a nice relief and the kitchen, bathroom, and living room areas were spacious and welcoming.
We are hoping that this home is available on our return trip.

My friends and I had a great stay at the Island Oasis. This place is beautiful. Two full bedrooms, both with private baths, along with plenty of sleeping room downstairs. Nice full kitchen for making breakfast and dining room table for enjoying said breakfast after a long night in Key West! We really enjoyed the private heated pool, grill, shower and outside room out back (lanai? - we don't have those in Connecticut). A quick walk from Duval Street, or even quicker cab ride. We loved this house and would not hesitate to stay there again.

The location was fantastic. Everything within walking distance. I enjoyed my week in Key West more than my trip to Europe. I intend to go back someday.
The home was especially nice. The only problem was that the information about the cleaning service was not readily visiable and we did not realize until time to leave that it was available. We felt we had paid for something we did not use.
I would enjoy staying at the same loction again.

Island Oasis was a great find through Center Court Key West Rentals. We have rented with them in the past and the properties we have stayed at are always very clean and well stocked.Island Oasis was perfect. We traveled with another couple and had plenty of space in the house. The back yard area with the private pool was awesome. The kitchen was perfect to cook meals and the gas grill was great for steaks, chicken and burgers. We wanted to be close to Duval Street but yet far away enough not to get all the noise at night. This was a great location. We are walkers so we left the car in the drive way and walked to all the great stores and pubs along Duval.I would definitely stay at Island Oasis again.

I went online to search a place to rent for a short term stay.
I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the overall unit and the space.
In addition this unit was located perfectly to allow us to walk from one end of the island to the other.

Key West Vacation rentals gave us lots of great info and everything was taken care of without a hassle. They were very helpful. The home was perfect. Our family very much enjoyed our first time visit to Key West. It was made even more enjoyable by the lovely home at 613 Amelia. Everything appeared to be well taken care of and was clean and confortable. The location was ideal for seeing the island. We walked almost everywhere and really enjoyed our time there. Since we were there in June (for a wedding), it was quite warm. In the end, our family agreed that we'd like to come back and spend a full week during a cooler time of the year! Highly recommneded. Best regards. Family Lancaster

Everything about the place: from the key west rental people to the house
and its ammenities and the location was tops for the most part. We have
been going to Key West for 20-25 years and rented one house for many
years. Long story short -everything about it went from bad to worse each
year. This was a totally new experience. One important point to us was the
place was clean, very clean with a very nice, thorough, efficient cleaning
staff. Beautiful tasteful appointments, well equipped kitchen for a rental-
nice plates, glasses and full sets of everything. Tucked on a quiet street,
less than 2 blocks from lower Duval....just what we love. Very private...nice,
weather protected lanai area, but the good looking rataan furniture was not
very comfortable. Outdoor shower as well as 2 and 1/2 baths and slept 5
comfortably, could sleep 6. Nice linens. There were 2 issues one small, one
not so small. In the front bedroom, outside, was a very over sensitive
motion detector light-anything set it off-so all night, despite the shades
being pulled down this light kept going off which was a little crazy making.
Also, we found the pool not to be well maintained. There was a big black
unattractive stain at the bottom, (we are pool people so we know the drill)
and there were no chemicals in the receptacles. We called and someone
came pretty quickly. We were there for 10 days and other than that one time
he came, that was the extent of the maintenance. And the pool had not
been serviced between the times we came and the people before us left.
That was a little gross and something we shared with the manager of the
rental company, who was appreciative of hearing that feedback. Other than
the pool we were very pleased overall with everything about it. The rental
company and the owners do a good job all around.

What can be better than leisurely lounging at the pool on the lanai with friends, wine, and shrimp on the bar-b. The owners even provided the boombox :)
The short walk to the strip was the only downfall--a bit unsightly immediately around the unit, but still only a very short stroll to the more quiet end of the street so that you can gradually head up Duval.
Parking was limited but we finagled the 2 rental cars on the parking pad.
This unit is beautifully decorated and I'm afraid our group enjoyed staying there more than they enjoyed exploring the town (except for the excursion to snorkle/swim on the sailboat---NOT to be missed!).
Overall, this unit does the VRBO proud. We've stayed at quite a few of them and all have been awesome alternatives to hotels.
