The house was beautiful and the property manager was very nice and helpful. My only suggestion would be to put some room darkening window treatments in the master due to the street light at night and the early sunrise in the morning.

Southern MarylandIncredible convenience, suprisingly quiet!

We've been coming to Key West for 10 years. This is the first time we choose to stay near Duval St instead of a condo on the opposite side of the island. The house is as beautiful and comfortable as the pictures show. The master bedroom is on the second floor and the remaining 2 bedrooms are on the third floor so there are some stairs to consider if you have elderly guests. Being directly behind the coach Store on Duval means that you are just about in the center of everything. This means it's a 10 minute walk or less to just about anywhere you would want to go from Mallory Square to the Southernmost point. That convenience is priceless given the tough time you sometimes have trying to find parking. Speaking of parking, being able to park at the house is another reason to consider staying here. We orignianlly thought the noise from Duval would be an issue and it never was. As a matter of fact, you could barely hear anything except the Key West chickens that roam free. Within 15 minutes upon arrival the owner came by to introduce himself and to show us some of the features of the house. He gave us his number if we needed anything. We called twice for some info and to raise the temp in the pool (it was an unusually chilly weekend) and he responded very quickly both times. There is a great gourmet style grocery store across the street that had everything you would need. Bahama House is an excellent choice for a family or group to experience everything Key West.

The house was a good Place to stay during a weekend in key west. I appreciated how they were willing to rent it to us for two nights. One of the bedrooms does not have window shades, which means you'll be up with the sun whether you want to be or not!

The pictures on the web site are accurate and reveal all the charm of the house. It was well outfitted with all the necessary equipment for cooking and barbeque. The convenient location one block off Duval was perfect for touring the downtown area. A corner store was across the street a bit pricey but convenient. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Trash pick up and deliveries happen very early morning. This will not stop me from renting the place next year!

Left on 03/21/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Great location. Great house. If you want a Key West "city" vacation and want to stay in a lovely "freshly re-done" place, Bahama House is everything you could ask for. Fair price, too. We loved it. Note that you'll be going to Walgreens (just around the corner) to get things like more toilet paper, kleenex, paper towel, washcloths, bath soap, hangers, laundry soap, coffee filters, etc., as the ownership/management/cleaning crew doesn't cut it that fine.

Thank you for taking the time to review our home. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay. Please note that our vacation rental homes are supplied with 2 of each towel per guest; if that was not the case we would certainly have brought them to you. As far as paper goods and soap, these supplies are offered in limited quantity as stated in our Rental Agreement. This is one differentiation between a vacation rental and a hotel room; our vacation rentals offer you a home away from home which excludes daily supplies and maid service.

This house was beautiful and had great privacy. It was steps from Duval St. and right in the middle of everything. We walked to bars, restaurants and shopping. It was fantastic. The owner was very helpful in recommending places to eat and go out and came over within minutes when we had trouble with the ipod dock.

Left on 07/07/2011 for a stay in June 2011
The house is in an excellent location. It has everything one may need for a vacation stay. Although all the rooms were exquisite there is just one not so positive thing they need to change the bed in the room on the second floor. Other than that the rooms were great, big, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen and the family room were great to hang out with family and friends.

I visited Key West with 8 friends. We all stayed comfortably in this house. The location is fantastic, and the house - recently renovated - is fabulous! The pool was the perfect place to relax all day long. This was my second visit to Key West and this house totally made the trip. 5 stars!!!

Charlotte, NCLuxury rental perfect for groups in the heart of Key West
Left on 05/13/2010 for a stay in May 2010
Wonderful rental for a group. Three floors with lots of privacy, if you want it. Lovely furnishings, gourmet kitchen, private pool--everything you need! Three full baths a real plus, as our group was in Key West for a family wedding. Not much of a view (master bedroom balcony overlooks a parking lot), but terrific location. Short walk to Duval Street restaurants and other attractions, grocery store and drug store. Our only complaint was that the downstairs area could have had more comfortable furniture, but that didn't stop us from gathering there every morning for coffee and breakfast. Mike, the caretaker, was very helpful. He met us when we arrived at the house and explained all the systems (AC, pool). Later, he quickly replaced a broken coffee pot. Overall, everyone in our group loved our stay at Bahama House.

We enjoyed the house. It was a great location, close to Duval, grocery store at the top of the street for last minute items. The kitchen could of used some dish towels and maybe a dish holder to let pots dry.The only draw back is the ant problem. It was not an ant or two, you would put something down on the counter and it would be covered with in a second. We live in Florida and deal with ants all the time but the house probably should be treated. The owner greeted us when we got to the house and made sure we had his contact number if we needed anything that was impressive.

FloridaBeautiful house / bad management company / horrible owner
Left on 09/03/2009 for a stay in August 2009
The house was just what we wanted! PERFECT!!!!
However, the management company told us we could park in the empty spot that no one was using and take a spot on the side. The first night we were there, the OWNER of the house, who should NOT have my phone number called me while we were at dinner screaming at me and saying the two other cars were going to be towed. Then your management company called and told me too bad you were misinformed you have to move the cars.... UNBELIEVABLE! AND to top it off after we spent $72 on each car for the weekend, the other two spots sat empty all weekend. NEVER again will i rent from your company.... I"M sure this review wont get published since it wasnt a good one but you asked.
