The Compound is the perfect spot for people who want to be in the middle of the chaos with the ability to go hide out in a few short steps. What an amazing spot. The circus of Duval Street plays out in front of you and the serenity of Key West happens when you close the doors!
A perfect spot and one we hope to come back to next year!

Nashville, TNWe almost didn't want to leave the house!
Left on 05/07/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We had the best time in Key West and a lot of it was due to this house! It's beautiful, tons of space, lots of outdoor sitting areas and it's cozy! The location is perfect. Walking distance to everything and a balcony on Duval to watch the unique people of Key West go by. Mark (owner) is great as well. He was in town and greeted us with a tour when we got there. Very hospitable and added to our trip. Only wish we could have stayed longer. We'll be back for sure!

Ridley, PABeautiful Home ~ Perfect Location!
Left on 02/22/2012 for a stay in February 2012
When we arrived the owner was there to greet us, told us places to go (and places to avoid)...nice touch! The homes were absolutely beautiful, what we expected and more. It is right on Duval Street so it's a bit noisy at night, which is to be expected ~ you are on Duval Street! We loved it, being right in the middle of all the action! The price was reasonable and so much better than renting 6 hotel rooms for the week.
Right outside your door is everything you need. We were a group of 12 friends celebrating 2 50th birthdays and we couldn't have picked a better place! The decks were spectacular and a great place to hang out when we were not in the pool. No car needed for this trip since the house is in the heart of it all :)
We will definitely be back! -

519 Duval & 522 Bahama are great sister properties, however, they are not connected. The Penthouse offers a wonderful view and excitement from Duval, and the back house offers a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle.
We rented both for a large family reunion, and thought we could easily walk from one to the other, but you need to go out of the gate walk past the pool filter area, and back into the other gate. A little tough with a 2 year old. This could be great if you can figure a way to go back and forth without going out of the gates.
But we would do it all over again for next year, the homes were modern, clean, well designed, with wonderful art in the penthouse.
The penthouse is where we all gathered, so the only thing we needed were more stools to sit in the kitchen! -

The houses are in a great location but you can't use the master bedroom on Duval. Way too noisy! Otherwise house was clean, spacious, nicely decorated and very pleasant. Needs more towels, duvet covers, better kitchen equipment and a proper dining room table. We cooked and ate most of our meals at home.

We went down to Key West to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday with 12 friends over Labor Day. This was the perfect place to stay! Every couple had their own bedroom and bathroom for privacy. We were able to spend time as a group in the 2 family rooms, and lounge on the many decks and 2 pools! We had a chef come in one night to cook us dinner in the state of the art kitchen in the main house which worked out really well. The Compound was close to everything so we were able to walk to restaurants, shops, the water and the gym. The virtual tour of the place was impressive, but the actual house(s) exceeded our expectations! And this usually doesn't happen. We can't wait to go back and our friends had a blast.

These are two very high-end buildings and great place for a group looking to enjoy Duval Street and the Downtown area of Key West. We enjoyed the all the decks and pools and even had a fish fry Friday night using the brand new grill on the side deck. The location can't be better and includes parking in the back and a grocery store right around the corner. We had a group of 10 college friends come down to Key West for a 50th Birthday. Mark is a fantastic owner. He visited our place a couple of times to make sure we were settled and knew how to work all the very nice high end touches within both of the houses. He even spent time recommending places for us to visit while we were in town. The management company was easy to work with throughout the rental process. Thanks again Cpt Mark.

This facility was in a perfect location as the front unit was on Duvall with a balcony that allowed us to watch the street theater and the back unit was on Bahama, which was a half block from Fausto's (a localy grocery). Overall, the place was in great condition, but there were a few odds and ends that needed tending to. Once mentioned to at Home Key West, they were attended to immediately. One issue that needs constant review, however, is the food that is left in the cabinets by former guests. There was a bottle of maple syrup that was partially open and the cabinet was full of sugar ants. Probably ought to have the housekeepers check this when they clean between rentals.
The air conditioning worked perfectly, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was great (cooked two group meals in the penthouse) and the pools were a delight. Would recommend the place to anyone and, who knows, may be back myself some day.Response from At Home In Key West, Inc. - 08/22/2011

Thank you for taking the time to review our home. We're so pleased you enjoyed your visit. As far as food in the cabinet, that is definitely something on our housekeeping checklist and apologize that it went unnoticed this time. Thanks again, and come back soon!

Boston, MAFabulous Time at Duval Compound
Left on 06/22/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We had a wonderful time at the Duval compound. We were welcome graciously and were allow to check in early, which was a great surprise. Beautiful accomadations, terrific location. I was concerned about it being on Duval St and was pleased to have the entrance on Bahama St for safety and privacy reasons. Renting both made it crowded to all be on one side of the pool during the day but both pools were well maintained as well as both houses were beautifully decorated and wonderfully maintained.
Thanks for a great stay! -

We rented this compound for my wife's 50th B-day and invited down 5 couples to spend a long weekend in Key West eating, drinking, and enjoying the Key West Vibe. We were not disappointed, the Duval compound is in a great location and we spent our time together in the main house. We cooked dinner together in the kitchen of the main house and pretty much ate lunch out every day. The deck off the kitchen in the main house accomodates 6-8 people, it would be nice to have seating for 12 somewhere on the property. The bedroom and bath accomodations were very nice, our only disappointment was that we thought the two homes were connected thru a courtyard, this is not the case as both units can be rented on their own with privacy in each courtyard. Overall, this was really a fun and convienent property to rent for a group of friends and for the most part fulfilled all our expectations.

1. Noisy in the front Duvall bedroom. Ear plugs mandatory.
2. A few broken, not working things: screens, chaises, some stains
3. Lacking only a few amenities for a working kitchen, like dish towels?
4. Could have used some more outdoor furniture at the front compound.
