A beautiful oasis off of Duval offering everything that you coul

Left on 04/11/2013 for a stay in June 2012

My wife and I have stayed twice at the Seashell Cottage and both times were incredible. It is a wonderfull home away from home that offers you an oasis right in the middle of everything going on in Key West. Although it's only a stone's throw away from Duval, it is like having a peaceful secluded paradise all to yourself. A fully equiped one bedroom home, featuring such novelties as a full deck with bbq, spa, hammock and outdoor shower. The home is immaculate, well furnished and stocked with every possible item you can think of. Although we won't be going this year, we will certainly try and visit "our" little cottage in the near future. Thank you Carolyn and Wendi for always taking such great care of us.

      A Perfect Vacation Cottage

Left on 02/04/2013 for a stay in January 2013

We were so glad we stayed at the Seashell Cottage. The location is excellent and it was very clean. Nice and roomy---plenty of space for the two of us. Having a full-size kitchen and gas grill was great. We had coffee every morning on the patio--very nice and relaxing and so private. We would highly recommend the cottage!

My husband & I loved this place. Wonderful place to stay. Very close to all the action but very quiet. Great price for everything offered. Very clean & well maintained. The owner & rep Wendi were very helpful with anything we needed or asked. Outdoor shower was great, very private. Never even used the inside shower. The jacuzzi was a great bonus to have.

We stayed a week and didn't want to come home. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and wanted some privacy. The location is great - about a block and half to Duval Street and very quiet. Everything you can think of is furnished for you and the house is just charming. Carolyn and Wendi were very accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Left on 04/16/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Pictures do not do this home justice. It’s location is excellent having an approximate 10 minute walk to either end of Duval while still being on the smallest, quiet lane possible. My wife and I were extremely pleased in dealing with both the owner, and representative Wendi. Most of our time was spent in the rear of the home enjoying the hot tube, hammock, outdoor shower, and patio area. The kitchen was fully stocked; however, with all the restaurant choices in the area, it’s hard to actually cook home. We highly recommend this property for anyone who wants to get away, but still likes the ability to quickly find themselves in the heart of Key West. Thanks for letting us enjoy your little slice of paradise.

We'll be back (hopefully at Seashell)

Left on 12/02/2011 for a stay in November 2011

Ideal, quiet location. Duval Street can be somewhat noisy but Seashell is the ideal distance away when you want some peace & quiet but is still just a leisurely walk away. Facilities at Seashell are ideal for a couple & the outside shower is a bonus so much so that we didn't use the inside shower. Gas barbecue, hammock & hot tub were well used - Having washer / drier was a bonus. Dealing with owner Carolyn & Wendi an excellent example of Key West hospitality. Places to eat out (when not barbecuing ) Bo's Fish Wagon (best conch fritters & don't be put off by the appearance), Pepe's Cafe ( opposite Bo's), El Siboney at Mallory Square. Places to have a swally (Scots for having a drink) Capt Tony's off Duval & Schooner Wharf Bar - All being well we'll be back & hopefully staying at Seashell.

We had a great time here. Carolynn give us personal recommendations of local parks and beaches. The house was well stocked, and we loved the outdoor shower. The house was clean and nicely decorated. This is a great location for families. Close enough to walk to Duval street and all the festivities, but it is nice and quiet. Overall, we loved it and would love to come back!

Beautiful Cottage That Is Walking Distance To Most Everything

Left on 06/20/2011 for a stay in June 2011

Seashell Cottage has everything you would need for a week of vacation! We truely did have a more "authenic experience" than staying at a hotel. It is well maintained, very clean, and has the most tropical charm of any place I've ever stayed. We loved using the outdoor shower and sitting on the front porch swing to have coffee. The lane is quiet for being so close to Duval Street. It was nice to be close enough to walk down Duval St to watch the sunset celebration at Mallory Square and also to the marina to go on the Fury Ultimate adventure, which is also highly recommended. I would definately stay here again and recommend to any small party who wants to vacation in Key West!

The cottage was warm, comfortable, clean and relaxing.

Left on 02/28/2011 for a stay in February 2011

We genuinely enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It gave us a chance for much needed relaxation. The location is ideal. The kitchen is well equipped, we both enjoy cooking and did so several evenings. We had friends in town who were staying at a time share, they were very impressed with our accommodations. The hot tub and outdoor shower add to the appeal of the cottage.
My only recommendation would be to add one more comfortable chair in the living room.

      The Little Touches

Left on 10/17/2010 for a stay in October 2010

At the risk of sounding cliche, the Seashell Cottage was like a home away from home for us...it was our private, secluded little space just steps from Duval...

The cottage is adorable and the location can't be beat, but the thing that struck us was the little touches that Carolyn and Wendi provide...things like skewers for the grill and a coffee grinder in the kitchen...a stack of delivery/take out menus for when I didn't feel like using the skewers :-) ...the family pass to Ft Zach and the beach chairs to use there...they may not seem like much, but all of these things made our visit incredibly comfortable...

The cottage itself is clean, bright and airy...the cottage and back deck are well secured...wifi works great...for someone who enjoys cooking as much as I do, the fully equipped kitchen was delightful...

Now, please don't tell anyone about the Seashell Cottage...they just might take it when we want to!

Everything about Seashell Cottage is amazing. The place was immaculate. Everything we needed was there. The hot tub was a bonus. It was very nice to have access to a washer and dryer. Perfect place for a couple looking for a romantic get-a-way. Very close to grocery store, Walgreens, restaurants and of course the bars. Had a great time and cannot wait to go back.

Stop looking for a place to stay, this is the best on Key West!

Left on 09/17/2010 for a stay in September 2010

For our honeymoon we decided to go to Key West for a week and neither of us had ever been so we were unfamiliar with the island. We didn't want to stay at the run-of-the-mill hotel so we started researching and found the Sea Shell Cottage. Boy did we hit the jack pot!!! I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful the place was! So charming, so romantic, so convenient. You are close enough to Duval Street where all the action is on a nightly basis but far away enough that you don't hear the party at night if you want to stay in. My suggestion would be to rent scooters (otherwise you have to pay to park the electric cars) and explore the island. Wendi and Carolyn are so helpful; you can tell they take pride in their properties. They provided maps, discount coupons for dining, drinking and local attractions and a family beach pass for free! The outdoor shower is awesome! We didn't take a shower in doors the whole time we were there! They only bad thing about the experience was us leaving. :( If you are going to Key West and need a place to stay, I promise you friends you will not be disappointed with the Sea Shell Cottage.

Great rental at a great price!

Left on 09/10/2010 for a stay in August 2010

My husband and I went here for a summer vacation and really enjoyed staying here. The location is very close to Duval Street, restaurants, shops, and other activities but still on a quiet, private street. The house is bigger than it looks in the pictures, is well kept and very clean. The furniture is comfortable. The bed was a little harder than I am used to but my husband liked it :) Everything you need is there: cooking stuff, a grill, washer/dryer, beach chairs, water noodles, games, books, cable, internet, and even a fannypack! lol. Managing staff was very helpful and available. When we couldn't figure out how to turn off the hot tub, they came right out and showed us. Overall, compared to other rentals in Key West, this place is a good price for everything you are getting. We would definitely stay here again.
