Conch Casa is a cigar maker's cottage circa 1884 that sits in a historic residential neighborhood half a block from Duval Street. This quaint hideaway is the quintessential conch cottage - both removed and steps from all the fun of Old Town Key West.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a glass top stove, refrigerator with ice-maker, microwave and everything needed for cooking a meal or just heating leftovers! French doors open from the kitchen and breakfast bar onto a private deck with a large 4 person private Jacuzzi, table and chairs, outdoor shower and gas grill. 42041Best place to get a Rental in Key West!!
Left on 05/14/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We just got back from Key West May 8th.. (so sad to leave). There were 4 of us friends that went down their from Michigan, we decided to rent a house instead of staying at a hotel since there were 4 of us and we figured we would need some space. I found Key West Vacation Rentals online and am so glad that we booked with them. We stayed at the Conch Casa off of Simonton street. It was absolutely perfect!! It was literally around the block from Duval street, a little further down Duval and it was about 5 blocks from the main area on Duval by Sloppy Joes and all that, but we did not mind the walk at all. Your going to walk a lot in Key West anyways, and this was not a bad walk from all the main action. The house was perfect for 4 people, cute decor, awesome kitchen, laundry out in the back of the house, beds were super comfy, loved the hott tub after a long day of walking, and enjoyed the out doors shower as well =).. I would highly recommend using Key West Vacation rentals to rent one of their houses. They were very efficent and even did not mind that we checked out a few minutes late because my friend had lost her credit card in the room (ooops).
We will be back next year, same time, same place!!! ;-)... wish we could have stayed longer!!!
Oh yea and the security deposit was back in my account the very next day, so if you are worried about the larger security deposit, I would check with your bank on the number of days they hold it, but my credit union realeased it the next day so not too bad! -

RaleighGreat stay in a great cottage
Left on 01/23/2011 for a stay in October 2010
This was the second time we've rented through Key West Vacation Rentals and loved it yet again. The location is a bit farther away from lower Duval but that can be a really good thing. It's about a block and a half to Duval and then a good stroll down to be "in the middle of it all."
The house is great, situated on a quiet side street within a short walk to the pools. The air works amazingly well, so don't fear! The outdoor area, in back, is nice and comfortable (not too cramped). The kitchen is a bit small if you plan on having a couple people in there cooking, otherwise its perfectly fine.
The only issue we had was with the grill which took forever to cook our fish. I think its time for a replacement there, but other than that its a five star spot and we look forward to returning again! -

The house was very small. Kitchen seating was for two although there were four people in our group. The carpet in the house made our feet black. There wasn't even salt & pepper in the kitchen. The biggest problem was the lack of a working internet connection. The owner came over to see what the problem was and said the service provider needed to be called. When we called the rental office, we were told that someone drove by the house and said there was connectivity. Basically saying that there was no problem. So for the entire stay we weren't able to connect to the internet.

West Chester, PAReally charming cottage

We loved the decor and the back yard as well as the convenience of walking to everything. Only downside was the lack of parking.

WakefieldClean, great location, nice quiet private deck
Left on 01/19/2011 for a stay in December 2010
We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was perfect for what we needed. It was clean, right in the center of Old Town, the outside deck and Jacuzzi was lovely. It was a bit pricey because of the week, between Christmas and New Year's.

Glens Falls, NYPerfectly situated, charming, compact cottage...with no parking.

We had a great time in Key West, except for finding parking. The cottage was great, close to everything. Its private back deck w/hot tub, outdoor shower and table/chairs was our favorite part of the cottage. We turned trying to land a parking space on Center St into a game -- but we ended up paying some $$ for parking when no spaces were available. In my opinion, the rental agency did not adequately explain the parking situation.

Baltimore, MDA delightful hideaway!

My husband and I stayed in the Conch Casa, just us two, for our 25th anniversary. We parked our car in front, and didn't drive anywhere, except the one rainy day...
We loved i!. On a quiet side street parallel to Duval, tucked in between year round residences, we could walk just around the block for a fresh baked pastry and espresso in the morning. It was also easy walking distance to the fun and excitement of Duval There is a bike/scooter rental place at the end of the street. What could be better!
The private deck with hot tub was a great place to relax and unwind with a glass of wine. The bathroom is tiny, but functional (if you're someone who needs yards of bathroom counter space, Conch Casa is going to be awkward) - there are shelves near the sink to put your toiletry kit.
The kitchen is also "pocket sized." I love to cook, and expected to prepare at least one meal, but we had so much fun exploring, that all I "made" was coffee, or reheat leftovers from one of our restaurant meals in the microwave.
The bedrooms are tiny. With just enough room to walk around the bed,. There are nightstands and enough closet space to get your luggage out of the way. Because we could, we ended up using one bedroom as our dressing room, and the other to sleep in. The service staff was efficient and invisible. It felt a little like having house elves on hand!
Conch Casa was a cozy, quiet little place to escape and relax. We are already making plans to return to Conch Casa next year.
