My husband and I stayed at Sunset Lake for Thanksgiving and we had a wonderful stay. The property is in Key West Golf Club, affording us all Key West has to offer in a tranquil setting that is just minutes away from any Key West attraction. The golf course, swimming pool, and gym within this community felt like a natural part of the lush landscape that surrounds Sunset Lake.
When we arrived to the spacious 3 bedroom condo, the view of the beautiful lake on the golf course caught me by surprise and is just steps away from the condo. The screened porch off the golf course was our "go to" spot for many a morning coffee and evening meals, complete with a grill for preparing dinners at home. Oh, the sunsets are so picturesque!
A Key West theme touched each room, with comfortable furnishings that brought a little island flavor to our stay - so tastefully done. Two upstairs bedrooms are furnished with en suite bathrooms, making it convenient for couples or a larger group to prepare for the day. Large closets in each bedroom are equipped with beach towels, extra linens and pillows, and lots of room for all that we brought on our trip. Comforable beds with cozy linens are a must have when vacationing and these are simply perfect. The upstairs bedrooms have screened balconies with comfortable lounges - what a great place to relax and unwind after a day at the beach!
The open concept downstairs floor is so airy and roomy, with a full kitchen, dining room, and living room areas adjacent to the third bedroom, full bath, and charming front porch. The condo has climate control, which we didn't need as the soft breezes from open sliding doors and ceiling fans kept us quite comfortable. Every room has a wide screen tv, dvd, cable, and wireless internet which comes in handy for after Thanksgiving football games and emails.
I can't wait to visit Sunset Lake again - it is definitely our vacation destination in Key West!! -

We found the property and surroundings even more beautiful and comfortable than we had anticipated. The house is beautifully furnished, and the kitchen is very well equiped. Plenty of towels and kitchen cleaning items, even a full pound of coffee, and orange juice stocked in the refrigerator.

48 Spoonbill is in our view one of the best houses at the Golf Club. `With 3 bedrooms and 3 baths it's roomy and comfortable. With three screened porches and one open porch it has places to read, relax or watch the passing parade of birds, iguanas or golfers at any time of the day over two fairways and a small lake. The furnishings are excellent including completely up-to-date TV and electronic assets. We were particularly fortunate that both of the neighboring houses were vacant during our stay.
