Poolside Paradise is a beautifully renovated home at 517 Olivia Street, one-half block off world famous Duval Street.
With 3 bedrooms (K, 2 Q, plus 2 Q sleeper), 2 full baths and 2 full kitchens, this historic home is perfect for 6 to 8 persons. The front portion features a King bedroom, a Queen bedroom and a Queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The bath with large walk-in shower is off the kitchen so the bedroom guests won't be disturbed during the night.

The location of Poolside Paradise is super close to the center of world famous Duval Street and that makes it easy to walk to almost everything. The only downside to this location is that several people mistook us for a commercial entity; three separate instances of people coming to the door looking for the rental office or asking for food (really). Also had someone park in the driveway (rental company promptly took care of it). We had four couples in the houses (yes, this is actually two small homes connected with separate entrances) which is really one too many couples. There are foldout beds in each house, but they're really only suited for teenagers not for plump adults. The rooms were very clean and the daily cleaning service was very appreciated. Although it was clean, there were a few loud and/or broken things that surprised us such as busted tiles on the waterfall (looked like it was that way for while), rotting joist on deck (facing pool), loud pool pump, and loud air conditioner in small back bedroom, these weren't horrible, but since the house was on the market for $840,000 you would expect better. Small ants were a problem in the kitchen so we stored everything in the refrigerator and sprayed here and there. Despite some annoyances we had a good time there and the rental company was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. We would definitely use Key West Vacation Rentals again, but if we had four couples again we would find a larger home. This house would be fine for two couples plus a few teenagers.

Thanks so much for your feedback! I had the pleasure of meeting you guys when someone parked in your spot and we will always diligently ensure that our guests spots remain available for them. We place a 'Key West Vacation Rentals' sign outside of the unit to guide guests to their unit and that may have been the crux of why you had some "traffic" there. This is the first time I've heard this but I will certainly look in to it as our guests privacy is of the utmost importance to us. We have also performed some minor improvements to the property and taken care of the issues that you've left us above. Your comments are what makes us better and we really appreciate you letting us know about your experience. My friends and I stayed at this property in May of 2012. I have never rented a vacation home before, so I was a little nervous as to what to expect. I was nervous about booking online, wondering if the pictures shown on the website would be deceiving. The house was exactly how it is pictured and everything was clean and welcoming. The two pull out couches ensured that everyone slept comfortably. The pool and the grill were also great additions that made our stay even better. The house was close to Duval and we were walking distance to almost everything.The staff were alsofriendly and super easy to work with.
All in all, I would recommend this property to anyone. We had a great stay and are looking forward to our return next year!

The place was perfect for our group. My husband and I traveled with my parents and another couple. It worked out great because the parents stayed with us and our friends had their own little apartment which gave us all our privacy if needed. The location was pretty nice as well. We were one block off Duval. Even though we were down on the end closest to SouthernMost everything was within walking distance. The only issue we had with the place is the pool. The pool was shaded most of the time. Leaves from the Ficus Tree was constantly falling in the pool, so it was never clean. We would definitely stay again if some of the trees were cleared out of there for more sunshine and a clean pool. Overall, we still had a great time.

We travel to Key West every august for my parents wedding anniversary and have stayed in many different types of accomodiations. This is by far the best way to enjoy the island when traveling with several adults/teens. 3 generations enjoyed the poolside retreat throughly. We played/relaxed/exercised/cooled off in the pool multiple times throughout the day. My 84 year old grandmother started and ended her day in the pool. The location was perfect. We rented bikes and mopeds and hopped around here and there all different times during the day and night. It was so awesome...we are planning on staying there next year and maybe always. I highly recommend this professional rental group, just don't go in mid august and ask for the Poolside Retreat, we plan on being there again:)
