Rates are based on a week’s stay (7 nights). Up-charges may apply for stays less than this. Our Season Rates are generally December 15th – until April 30th. Off Season Rates are from May 1st – December 14th. These dates are moved a bit sometimes so be sure to check each properties’ Rate Table on our site for specifics. Holidays and Special Events may have higher rates and special Minimum stays…the Rate Tables will reflect that too. Sometimes we can do less than 7 nights during Season if we can fit you in-between two other weekly rentals, so please ask! There is no extra charge for cleaning. A Check In and Check Out Cleaning is included with your Rental, provided you keep up with it and leave the home in good condition. Please see our Rules & Procedures page for details. Excessive cleaning charges will be charged back to you. There is a $30 Reservation Fee on all Rentals plus the applicable Sales Tax (currently 12.5 %.) From the time we checked in I knew we were going to get good service. We got great recommendations for local (not touristy!) restaurants from a friendly agent. Then we went to the house, only two blocks from Duval on the Southern (quiet) end. It was clean and beautiful inside. The house is well-maintained and decorated with a Thai feel. We had plenty of towels (including huge beach towels) and a kitchen stocked with solid cookware and plenty of dry-goods. The pool area is private and perfect for late night dips or cooling off with a drink in your hand. We loved the canopy over the patio since it rained pretty much the whole time we were there. Wi-fi worked perfectly the whole time, even with four iPhones and two iPads. We had a blast. I had high expectations and they were exceeded.

This is the sixth rental house I've stayed at and it was perfect. House was well furnished and modern and the kitchen had everything that was needed. The backyard was by far the most private and quiet of any in the past The house is within easy walking distance to Upper Duval (quiet end) and many great restaurants. This is definitely a home I will rent again! Thanks for the great experience!

This was the perfect place for our Key West holiday. There were only the two of us so we felt very indulged to have two bedrooms and bathrooms but that's amazing when you're on holiday and you get quite used to it.
This property was beautiful and so well maintained externally. Inside it had a unique and endearing style which we enjoyed.
I'm not sure we could have asked for more on our first visit to the us as a couple, it was outstanding so thank you so much. Everything was fabulous - top dollar. -

We loved this house a lot. It was close to everything i.e shopping, restaurants etc. You could walk practically anywhere. We had a great time there. The check-in was not so great since they forgot to leave our key so we could go to the house. But after a few phone calls we were able to get a hold of someone and they came down and gave us a key.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Valhalla in May 2012. Valhalla is a shotgun house that is comfortable, has been well-maintained, and is filled with interesting and colorful artwork. The absolutely best reason to stay ay Valhalla is the pool area. The area is totally private and lined with palm trees and tropical foliage. The pool itself is a nice size and is surrounded by incredibly comfortable Frontgate lounge chairs (which are not shown in the photos). The awning off the back of the house covers a large deck that has a table with six chairs. The deck area is large enough that we were able to pull two lounge chairs under the awning on a rainy day. Valhalla is within walking distance of restaurants like Camille's, The Flaming Buoy, El Siboney, Aboodanza, Banana Cafe, and Sweet Tea's. It's also very close to Isle Style spa. On the negative side, we found the beds and pillows to be much too hard for our taste--better mattress pads and higher-quality pillows would be helpful. Also, the kitchen would benefit from new cabinets, counter tops, and sink. Finally, the house is right next to a trailer park, but we didn't mind because the street is quiet overall.

Valhalla was the perfect vacation rental for myself and my wife. the home was tastefully decorated and provided everything we needed. The kitchen had all that we needed as well to feel at home, the yard and pool were so quite and private we spent most of our time out there and is easily the best part of the house.
The location is close to Duval and Simonton St. and is easy walking distance to everything.
I wouldnt change anything and look forward to returning every year! -

Valhalla was a great cozy private escape in key west. Probably my favorite vacation rental that we have stayed in key west and we come down every august from south florida. We spent most of our time in the pool & backyard which was fantastic for lounging (pool is not as big as it looks in the pictures but still perfect for us). The property had everything we needed and is very private. A lot of quirky artwork around the house gave it a nice ambiance. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. Like anything in life every good must have a bad...The only negatives were that there are no Tv's in either bedroom and there was no air circulating in the bathroom in the master so it was a bit hot in there all the time. The bathroom sliding door jammed and i was stuck in there for 10 min until my boyfriend saved the day. Also the living room area was a bit cramped for more than 2 people to comfortably hang out because the white couch is rather small. But we didn't spend too much time in there cuz were in key west!! But the good definitely outweighed the bad by far & really the overall experience was wonderful! I would definitely return

Valhalla is perfectly sized for four adults. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pictures of the property online do not do it justice. It is much nicer in person! Everything was very clean and the house has everything you need to be comfortable. We spent most of our time at the house outside, enjoying the beatiful landscapded pool and patio.
It is close to the beach but we ended up driving to the pay beach @ the fort most often. The beach that is in walking distance is small and has alot of seaweed. The house is an easy walk to Duval Street and we used taxis a few times when we didn't feel like walking from one end of the island to the other.
If we make it back to Key West,we will definately go back to Valhalla and Historic Hideaways! -

Pool and deck were incredible. Spent most of our time out there. The house was great. Everything we needed was there. It was my husband's 50th bday over the July 4th wkend. It made his bday.
We were amazed at how awesome the fireworks were for such a small island. Key West is one of our favorite places and we will visit Valhalla again! -

We just got back from a fabulous week in Key West at Vahalla! This place is amazing! This house is great! So clean! Loved the outside space. Very private and tropical. I hesitate to write this as I don't want people to know about "our little secret". We have never rented a home before but can promise you when in Key West it will always be valhalla! Historic Hideaways was so easy to deal with. We literally got our key and were in and out in 5 minutes. Only one small suggestion, the TV was challenging to get on and off as there were 3 different remotes and no instructions. Loved your place...signed your guest book and left a few good reads behind for the next lucky guests!

I have 3 complaints we were not given code for alarm and police came. Not the best first impression! Small ant problem in kitchen. Bathroom door in Master bedroom hard to open and close. Other than that this place was a dream. Pool was heated and needed as temps at times where chilly it was sooo nice. Wish we could have stayed an extra week.

Valhalla was just what we wanted...close to the action of Duval Street yet far enough away for absolute privacy. All accomodations were comfortable and upscale. The pool area was well manicured and very private. Everything was just great and we had all we needed. Checkin and checkout could not have been easier!

My cousin (mom of small kids) and I (single girl-about-town) had a fantastic time at Valhalla! It was located in a fabulous little neighborhood, close to everything but not in the middle of anything. The management team was friendly and were so accommodating and helpful during our very brief stay.
The house was warmly decorated and felt just like we were visiting a friend's place, not like we were in a rental at all. Having a pool for a quick dip was such a nice treat and reading on the deck in the autumn sun was so needed.
We are already planning our next visit to Key West and can't imagine staying anywhere but Valhalla! -

We had a great time, the house was perfect and fitted our needs. I loved the floor plan of the house so much that am having my draftsman to render me a plan for a similar home. Also the pool was awesome, as well as the landscaping. This house absolutely made our trip, Beth was very helpful. My only suggestion would be to add a peep hole to the front door.

Went with three friends to just get away from it all. we had a great time! the home is wonderful. Everything you could possibly want. The pool area is a tropical oasis. There was just one small problem. One of us left a ring in the master bathroom on the window sill. Well we called as soon as we noticed and were told no, not there. So you might want to check your cleaning service for honesty. just sayin'.

I also went myself to look for it, and the owners happened to come to the house right after you for a stay, and also looked. So I wonder if you may have lost it elsewhere? We've enjoyed Key West twice in the last two years. This was our first stay at
this home and we would rent again. This home and backyard were beautifully
restored and had every amenity we could've wanted. The only drawback was
that the rental outfit didn't instruct us on how tho use the security system
properly, or how to turn on the pool heater. A very minor inconvenience that
the owners (who were very nice) remedied quickly for us. Easy access to the
hustle and bustle of Duvall, but once "inside" Valhalla, your own, private
escape. Wonderful memories! -

The service was fine. I loved our little conch house, with its many pieces of art on the walls, its cleanliness, its stocked cabinets. You couln't ask for a better location, just far enough from the noise and close enough to the action when you wanted the noise-only two blocks from Duvall street. I left suggestions with the office when I checked out. simple things like more hooks in the one bedroon, etc.

We had a great time at Valhalla. The layout of the house worked well for our family, including grandparents and a toddler. The street was quiet yet so close to the shops and resteraunts. We are big cooks and the kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommend this vacation home!

Our cottage was beautiful and brilliantly supplied. We enjoyed every moment and the pool was bracing after a heated run or walk. We were near a beach and found ourselves able to get to the center of Old Towne easily.
Kudos to your staff. They were helpful, friendly and most accommodating.

We sort of new what to expect when we arrived based on the photos but it's even better in person. The house was simply stunning and it had every amenity you could possibly think of. We participated in a fund raiser for epilepsy in Houston and won the week at the house in an auction. We had never been to Key West and could not have been happier with the house and the island. It was beautiful, well furnished and very comfortable. It was also very close to both the beach and the clubs. We had a great week and will come back and rent from Historic Hideaways again.
