We returned to Key Lime Pie once again this year and stayed for 7 weeks. We still like the location but also dislike the comfort of this house. We were told that the queen bed had been replaced a couple of years ago but it was very uncomfortable and forced us to move upstairs to the twin beds. There were several updates to the property this year but we still had the rock hard outdoor chaise lounges and the equally uncomfortable chairs in the living room. The new couch was great.
As with other visits, we had termite dropping in the bed and ants in the bathtub. However, I guess this is normal for Florida and a call to "At Home in Key West" took care of the termites. Whet we didn't expect, though, was the flea problem. We brought a indoor cat that is on year-round flea preventative yet she picked up fleas after a few days here. The previous renters had a dog and 2 cats which I am guessing caused the problem. We spent many hours scrubbing and vacuuming the entire house several times as well as washing all the bedding many times. Not fun.
We will not be going back as "At Home in Key West" has rented to different renters for next year for the period we usually rent. We contacted at Home 3 weeks after leaving to set-up next year but it was already gone. I was surprised that they didn't at least check with us who have been renting here for 5 years. I had assumed we had first choice to renew but I was told that you need to renew and give deposit before you check out. Oh well. Read more

Thank you for taking the time to review our home. It was a pleasure having you as our guest for so many years. The "first right of refusal" policy has not changed; we will not reserve a home before we know if the current guest is planning to return and that discussion always happens before the current guest leaves. Winter monthly rentals are extremely popular and we keep a waiting list so the current guest has the opportunity to make plans for the following year before they leave. If the current guest does not express interest before they depart, we go to our waiting list for possible renters.
Before your arrival, this home was thoroughly cleaned and there was no evidence of fleas from the previous guest's dog and cat. When you contacted us about the possibility of fleas, you said you would let us know if it persists and we never heard from you about it after that.
It is unfortunate that the queen mattress was uncomfortable; that is a new mattress purchased 2 months before your arrival.
We are continually acquiring new homes to our inventory and hopefully there will be one to suit your needs sometime in the future.

We returned here to stay for 6 weeks and we like the location. Thankfully, the bed mattress has been replaced and there have been a few other updates and new wifi which we really enjoyed. However, the seating in the living room are limited to 2 very uncomfortable chairs.and the sleeper sofa is not very good. Too bad. Also, the outdoor seating is hard and limited. We also had noisy neighbors (vacation renters)on the other side of the fence next to our house and we were unlucky in that a house across the street was being completely rebuilt and greeted us each morning at 7:30 with construction.
Cozy, comfortable house in a great location!

This was our second stay at Key Lime Pie. The house is the perfect size for four people. The house is stocked with everything you need, just add groceries! It is located close to the Seaport, there is a great bakery close by and Duval is a short five block walk.
The management company was excellent, and very helpful dealing with the cable company when the garbage truck ripped down the cable line.
About the only down side was that the cable was only basic and the living room furniture could have been more comfortable. Otherwise, we highly recommend Key Lime Pie!

This was our second time at "Key Lime Pie". On the plus side, it has a great location on a quiet lane with privacy. It was also nice to have our own parking spot. The staff at "At Home in Key West" were quick to take care of any problems we had. On the down side, the seating inside and outside the house is very uncomfortable, the mattress could use upgrading, you are only a half block from Eaton street which can be a bit noisy at night, and considering the market, I feel the rent is too high for what you get. Thank you for taking the time to review our home. Good news we wanted to share is that the queen mattress has been replaced. By the time you arrive for your next visit in March 2012 (thank you for returning to us!) I think you will see additional improvements to make your stay that much more enjoyable.

Loved Off Season Key West

Spent a month in this very secluded house within walking
distance of everything, including the marina, Duval Street and
my favorite Watering Hole, Finnegan's Irish Wake pub.
Renting in October, the off season, meant I got to experience an
uncrowded Key West. And best of all, at the end of the month,
to experience Fantasy Fest in its entirety.
What a rush.
House was wonderful. Had it all including a hot tub. Private
parking, a real plus in Key West. Plan to do it again.
Cute & Clean

House is very nice, well kept and supplied, cozy. Good location by Key West Bight waterfront
Second year we stayed and there were changes in the neighborhhod. Several vacant and unkempt properties, lots of traffic in the alley, several vagrants had to be shooed away from the house. Not returning to this property in 09. A little pricey for the size also.
