This is a great location. Walked to everything including snorkeling every day at Zachery beach. Stayed for a week without a car or bikes. Townhouse is extremely clean, maintained and well furnished. Need to add a few more dishes (i.e. bowls). Décor was nice but a few minor changes would make it great. Love the shaded porch. All in all a great rental. Truman annex very secure and quiet.
Nice place in need of updating

Key West Found is perfectly located within the Truman annex. It is a short walk or bike ride to Mallory Square, Duval Street and Fort Zachary Taylor Park. Also, all the appliances and the air conditioning system worked. The wi-fi network was not working when we arrived, but ahikw fixed the problem within 48 hours of being notified. That said, the condo is in dire need of updating. There are rust stains around the sink drains, stained bath tubs, missing cutlery, plates and glasses, chipped pots and pans, and sagging sofas. The condo, although nice enough, has the appearance of being old and outdated with bottom of the line finishes and virtually no room for non-refrigerated food storage in the kitchen. We would probably not rent this condo again, but we would rent again from ahikw and would want to be in the Truman annex. Read more

Thank you for taking the time to review our home. The owners put alot of time into this home and I know will want to see your comments. The sofabed is only a few months old and there is a pantry in the kitchen for dry goods. We will look at the other items you mention and supply what is needed.
We look forward to your return.

We stayed in a condo in the Truman annex Foundry this vacation, and we really loved the location. We could walk easily to the Key West Bight, the Mallory Square area, the Hemingway House, Faustos grocery, etc. Even in the midst of all these nearby sites, it was very quiet and calm. The decor was quite nautical and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped although not high end. When our wi-fi did not work, we called and they had someone fix it within two hours! The pool is quite small and doesn't have much sun. That was our only negative because we had hoped to spend lots of time there. The steps to the second and third floors are quite steep, so they would be difficult for older persons or families. We have used athomekeywest Realtors many times and have had great experience each time. They are accurate, prompt, honest, and offer good customer service. We will use them again.

My first experience with Key West Found was dealing with Lida from at Home in Key West. Lida was the best in helping me find the right rental I was looking for and answering all my many questions everytime I called her.
Key West Found was awesome! We were there on a girl's getaway and there was plenty of room for all of us. From the minute we walked in the front door, we felt right at home. Loved the open doors and windows looking out to our front porch. Living room and kitchen were decorated beautifully! The kitchen had everything you needed.
On the second floor was a huge bedroom with a king size bed and bathroom. It also has a balcony off it. Really couldn't see much sitting on the balcony, but it was nice to have. Also, right outside the bedroom was your washer and dryer, which was very convenient! The only problem was the dryer does take forever to dry your clothes!!!
On the third floor (and yes, climbing those stairs a few times a day can get to you)was another bedroom with 2 twin beds and a bathroom off the bedroom. One wall is just windows, which lets all the light in and beautiful palm trees right outside your window!
Key West Found is within walking distance of everything including Mallory Square, Duvaul St., the Harbor Walk and many awesome restaurants and bars. Truman annex itself is a beautiful complex to walk around in. I loved the tree lined streets and all the beautiful different complexes that you have a choice of. Felt very safe due to the gated community. Gates are locked after six o'clock and you can only get in and out with your key. The designated swimming pool for the Foundry was right around the corner. It was somewhat small, but suited our needs.
After staying there for 11 nites, none of us wanted to leave! We will definitely be back and recommend this area and at Home in Key West to anyone! Thank you Lida!!!

Truman annex is our favorite place to stay in Key West. Very quiet and private, yet just a short walk to all the action. Key West Found is a great rental for two couples. Everyone has there own space, and having the laundry is great. If you have kids who want a pool, the pool for these units is not the best. Parking is close by, although a little confusing. The check in process at the rental office was fast, but lacked any explanation. Having stayed in the annex before we knew the routine, getting parking pass, where dumpsters are, parking, etc. We initially stopped at the guard gate to get a parking pass, but since it was before 4:00 (around 3:30) he would not even open his window to help us. Very rude! But still a great area to stay. Read more

Thank you for taking the time to review our home. We're so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in this lovely townhome. Please note that the envelope you received with your keys had very specific instructions with driving directions to Truman Annex, a map showing the parking spot, etc. We will speak with the management at Truman Annex about the security officer and appreciate you letting us know about that situation.

The people at Home In Key West were great! Everything was ready and check out was a breeze. We had a wonderful time at Key West Found! No problems with the unit. It was neat and nicely decorated. Equipped with everything we needed to start out our week. Our only complaint was that the dryer took forever to dry clothes, but then so does a laundromat and we didn't have to do that! So all in all it was great. The location can't be beat. Safety, security, closeness to everything and quiet. We'll be back next year...if not sooner.

My family enjoyed the stay at the Foundary. The place was somewhat clean. It was nice to be so close to the downtown and the beach. Which we went to every night. There wasn't any noise at all. I felt very sercure with my family staying. Overall I would rate it very good. The information was very confusing as to where and how we needed to get the key. Along, with I had a question an called no one ever returned my call. Read more

We stayed 6 nights at the Truman annex facility, and it was everything we expected and more. Clean, great location, very comfortable. The weather was perfect all week and the Superboat races were great. The condo allowed us to either be peaceful and comfortable there "at home" or go enjoy the festivities of Duval Street. We will certainly plan for a return visit!

Condo was great, located in the quiet gated Truman annex neighborhood but an easy walk to everywhere - Mallory Square, Ft. Zachary, Duval St. etc.
The floor plan was fantastic for our family of 4. And, the place had all the amenities we required, tastefully done. Will definitely stay here again or recommend it to any else.
Our reservation, check-in and check-out were all very smooth.

We came to Key West for our son's wedding. Key West Found was perfect for my husband and me, our daughter, and her two toddlers. Although we were within walking distance of the beach, Duvall St., and numerous restaurants, we rented a car for trips to Publix, for the toddlers, and for my mother-in-law.

A great location! Quiet, restful and within walking distance to Mallory Square and Duval Street. Especially liked the security and keyed gate. Gale at the rental company was very helpful and everything was handled in a professional manner. I hesitate to say anything negative because everything was great. I would have loved to have a water view, but we knew ahead of time that we had to give up something to get the location at an affordable price. Perfect for four people.

We have traveled to Key West every January since 2001 to escape the temperatures up North. After hopping thru several of the hotels, we decided several years back to rent houses/townhouses for our stays. We love staying in the Truman annex. It is so close to everything, yet quiet (no annoying drunks or chickens noises at all - both a plus). Key West Found is beautiful. No complaints. At Home Key West is a wonderful company to work with. This was our third straight year renting with them, and we look forward to continuing the trend.

This condo was clean comfortable and located minutes from all the action on Duval and in Mallory Square. The location was perfect combination of peace and quiet at home while only block away from all the excitement of the surrounding area. Was a little disappointed with the size of the pool on admirals lane but other than that it was a wonderful trip and would stay in the same location again. People at at Home Key West were very efficient and congenial. Thank You!!

What a great place to stay. Only a few short blocks to Duval Street, Mallory Square and the state park. The house was great and we did not lack for any comfort (except Wifi). Everything was just as described.
We arrived late (10 p.m.) and the keys were easy to get to and the security guard at Truman annex gave us our parking pass as we came into the annex. It was also great to have a covered parking space; definitely helped keep the car a little cooler.

This is the place to stay for an excursion to Key West. Within a 3-4 minute casual stroll, you are in the middle of all the activities, shops and restaurants; however, this "home away from home" is as peaceful as can be. The interior is very well decorated and the beds are extremely comfortable. Sitting on the front porch, drinking wine with your spouse, while your children are watching a movie from a well stocked dvd collection is priceless. As far as local wildlife, there were no bugs but plenty of geckos and chickens... all outside! Would our family stay at this location again? Oh yes, we would not think twice about it.

The rental agency was very good at any request we had. The people were nice and very helpful. A miniblind broke while we were there and it was replaced the next day. The only issue we had was the kitchen was called "gourmet" and it was basic at best, it did not even have a cutting board. Read more

I have two complaints: First, I was told pets were not allowed by the neighborhood association, yet I saw them everywhere in nearby units. This was important to me, so I felt I was not given the best vacation I could have had because I couldn't bring my aging dog. Second, pest control arrived to spray the property inside while we were there. I found that distasteful for the rate we were paying. This kind of maintenance should be scheduled between stays. Other than that, I loved the property and its proximity to the pier and Duval St. Read more

Thank you for taking the time to review our home. There is a homeowners association in Truman Annex that does not allow pets for rentals less than one month in length, and many of the full time residents in Truman Annex have pets as well. Located in the sub-tropics, pest control is taken very seriously here as we realize most of our guests are not familiar with some of our little four-legged inhabitants. As often as possible, spraying takes place when guests are not present and we will certainly remind this company of that consideration.
We're so glad you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you again!

Our unit seemed clean at first, but one bathroom toilet was not very clean, and we had a missing shower curtain in another bathroom. Lots of dirty spots on the walls. I had to go around cleaning them with windex. I'm happy to report not a single bug or red ant to be found in our unit! The Foundry complex is very close to Duval St., Mallory Square, and about a mile from Fort Zachory Taylor Beach. Weather was very enjoyable!

I would recommend this place to anyone. The location is the best part. Just 2 blocks away from Davol, and then back at the rental very peacful. The set up of the townhouse was perfect, with each bedroom having its own full bathroom. The porch was perfect for sitting out enjoying coffee. The full kitchen with a full size fridge. The reservation process was excellent and very responsive when making them.

This location provided a comfortable retreat from the heat of the day wandering Old Town, with a small community pool and welcome ice cold air conditioning. While the site was not as clean as we would expect upon arrival, the condition of this renatl was above average, with comfortable beds, clean linens and towels, and a functional kitchen area with the necessary tools to allow for meals at home when desired.
The location is ideal, only a few blocks walk to all the Old Town haunts like Mallory Square, Hog's Breath Saloon, and Schooner Wharf. Truman annex provides a nice, quiet escape from the daily lunacy of Old Town, but it all remains within easy reach when you are ready to venture into the fray!.
atHome Key West provided all necessary check-in information with ease, and check out was a breeze, but I would have hoped the site had a Guest Book and/or local information to offer greater insight to locations of the pool, or unique activities and experiences from other guests.
During our stay a maintenance issue arose. One phone call to atHome and the issue was attended to without fuss. A pleasure to not have to think about anything other than vacation activity.
Overall, a great choice for my wife and grown children to "Chill" during the breaks in activity.

This was a great experience. The staff was great to work with and answered all our questions. The location in the Truman annex was perfect for us. Calm and tranquil, but very close to all the action...very close! Really the one and only complaint are the bugs. There were a few ants that weren't that big of a deal...but one of the twin beds had many of these "antlike" bugs...under the sheets and all over the bed. Every thing else was great including the washer/dryer, the TV/DVD player, the internet connection...all perfect. I will stay again...with a bottle of Raid.

The location in the historic Truman Annex area is perfect - quiet and gated, but
just 2 blocks from Duval St. Walking distance to pool, many restaurants, Mallory
Square, beach at Fort Zach Taylor. We did not need a car all week, just taxi to
and from the airport. The unit is in the historic brick Foundry Building just a few
doors down from the Truman White House, along of stately historic private
houses. Decor is nice and clean. Bedrooms are nice and bright; master has a
nice small balcony that gets morning sun.
We will definitely do the Truman Annex again!
Our only quibble with this unit is lack of wireless internet - the owners need to
invest in a $50 wireless router.

We had done extensive research on places to stay in Key West and had decided we wanted to stay near Old Town in a vacation rental instead of a hotel. My wife and I spent many hours to find the perfect place which was being managed through At Home in Key West.
We had just completed our three hour flight and where about an hour into our drive from Miami when we received a call from At Home in Key West. They were notifying us that the rental we had signed up for was no longer available because of some maintenance issue. There solution was to put us into another unit.
We told them we would be in Key West at 5pm and would like to stop by to look at what was available. This however was not an option they provided to us. They said they close at 5pm so they would pick out a unit for us. I asked them if we didn't like the unit then what. They told me we could come by the office the next day and figure something else out. My wife and I were OK with this solution. However, when we requested other options the next day they said this was our unit for the duration on our stay. It was obvious to us that the management company was never interested in moving us to another unit.
As far as the specific unit, Key West Found, it was OK. It was three levels with level two and three being the bedrooms with their own bath. There was a washer and dryer which was convenient. It had a covered parking space and acess to a wireless network. The best feature was the location. It was within walking distance of Old Town and Fort Zachary Taylor. Any unit in Truman Annex will give you the location benefit.
As other reviews had mentioned, there was a real problem with red ants on the first floor. The decor was not to our tastes and the unit had a definite smell that was not to our liking. I am not sure if the smell was from the cleaning solution they used on the first floor tile but it was overwhelming to us.

Family of 2 adults and 3 children went to stay for 2 weeks at Key West. The Area where we lived in was really nice and quite. We only had 3-4 min of walk to Duval Street which is the main turist trap street. The house was in 3 levels with all you need of accessories. We were pleased with the home only had a few issues of red ants invading the 2 top floors through the kitchen. A fridge that was leacking water. So all in all we can recommend this house if you are willing to pay more than US 2.000 per week.

Loved Truman Annex, it is beautiful!! The townhouse in the The Foundry was nice, due to the climate insects pretty bad, ants in the kitchen that type of thing one must be alert for. Overall we had a great week. This was our 4th trip to Key West and each year it gets better and better. Already planning for next year, will probably want a house in the Annex if we don't rent on the water. Stored the boat @ Key West Marina, service was awesome there, would recommend to all boaters. Parking in the Annex is a pain, we have adult children who visited and left at different times during the week, when one rents a home to accomodate 6 people @ least 2 parking spaces should be designated. Also recommend if other homes are vacant share the parking spaces, there were always spaces open yet the "kids" couldn't utilize all it would take is a bit of coordination from the realtors.

OVERALL, A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. LOCATION-PERFECT! ACCOMDATIONS- GREAT! THE TRUMAN ANNEX IS PICTURE-PERFECT. ONLY TWO COMPLAINTS.
FIRST- THE TOWELS AND WASHCLOTHS WERE OF THE TYPE THAT I WOULD USE TO WASH MY CAR AFTER THE HAD OUTLIVED THEIR LIFE EXPECTANCY. VERY WORN AND TATTERED!
SECOND- THE $149 "CLEANING FEE" - FOR WHAT! NO HOUSEKEEPING WAS DONE IN THE TIME WE WERE THERE AND 15 MINUTES WORTH OF "CLEANING" WOULD HAVE RETURNED THE UNIT TO "PRE-RENTAL" CONDITION!
